Kana slowly opened her eyes and saw a new person sitting next to her. "Awake, little one?" Gina's eyes glowed when she saw the cute creature before her. While at the same time, her heart broke when she saw how malnourished she was. "Kana, it's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Gina. I am Todd's sister and Jay's future wife."

"Oi! Don't spout lies to confuse the girl!" Jay rubbed his forehead. This girl was always going around saying these things.

"What lies!?" Gina pouted. She did not know why Jay did not understand her feelings.

"Need to pee…." Kana found their little spat amusing, but she had to potty. She crawled out of the bed and walked to the bathroom, leaving both man and woman speechless.

"Hehe! She is so cute!" Gina couldn't help but laugh. She stood up, stretched her arms, and said: "Let's get her dressed in something warm. Cover her feet with some heavy socks and carry her downstairs. We will take the car to the store so she is not out in the cold too long."

"Alright." Jay nodded his head. He was worried about how he was going to bring Kana around. At least this way, he could finally get her some proper clothes that fit. "Gina, can we also stop at a hospital as well?"

"Of course!" Gina nodded. She also felt this was good. "We will go to a dentist as well."

"Thanks." Jay had to admit that Gina was a lifesaver. Although Todd sparked all this, it was Gina who was going to help him the most. He was grateful to both but more to Gina, who was going to help him with the hardest part, and that was picking out clothes.

"Why are you thanking me?" Gina blushed as she looked at the bathroom door for a second before sliding up next to Jay and hugging him. "I need my recharge."

Jay felt helpless. He patted her back as he let her do as she wished. Kana, who was sitting in the bathroom listening to the two, really felt that they would make a good couple. She decided she would help and bring the two together. She washed her hands and cracked the door open to see the two hugging. She smiled and slowly closed the door.

After a few minutes, she finally left the bathroom. She made sure to make enough noise so they would hear her. "Jay…."

"Your done?" Jay asked with a smile while Gina was all smiles at his side. "Mmm…" Kana nodded and let out a small yawn.

"Then let's get you dressed up. Come." Gina grabbed Kana's hand and then the few sweatshirts she found, along with some socks, and brought Kana to the bathroom. While getting changed, Gina began explaining what they were going to do today. "So, we will go get you a few new sets of clothes first. After that, we will go have breakfast. Then we will visit the doctor and a dentist. There is a lot to do today, so just bear with it, okay?"

"Mm…. Big Sister Gina, thank you." Kana's words were filled with her sincerity. She knew Gina was not doing this to get closer to Jay but was, in fact, doing it because she wanted to help.

"You are too cute!" Gina hugged Kana with a big smile. She loved this little girl already! She was ready to steal her from Jay!

Gina not only helped Kana get dressed, but she also did her hair for her. Gina also added going to the hairdresser as well to help fix Kana's hair, which had a few matted lumps. She even started to tear up, which, in turn, took Kana a few minutes to calm her down. It was a funny scene to see a young girl consoling a girl almost twice her age.

The car drove down the city streets. Kana sat in Gina's lap so she could look out the window. Jay had offered his lap, but Kana rejected without any hesitation. While she felt bad for him, she couldn't sit on another man's lap. Even if Jay was her father in this world, she could not bring herself to do it. But this did seem to make Gina happy as she hugged Kana and gave Jay a smug look as if saying she had won.

Traffic was quite heavy at this hour, so there was a lot of stop and go. Kana looked at the familiar back alleys as they slowly drove by and remembered the times she ran through them searching for what little food she could find. When they reached the store, almost two hours had passed. Jay picked Kana up in his arms and carried her into the store, followed by Gina and a maid who came along with Gina. "Can I help you?" A store clerk walked over with a bright smile.

"Yes, we need clothes for this little one," Jay replied.

"Get her fourteen sets," Gina spoke up after. "One for her current size and another for when she can fill them out."

The clerk was slightly confused until she saw Kana's face and nodded. She did not say a word, but she could tell that the little girl was malnourished. "Is there any specific style?"

"Mm… first, let's start with underwear and socks. This little one grew up on the streets, so she has nothing." Gina explained. She did not want any misunderstandings. When the clear heard this, she was a little surprised but quickly nodded her head. But on the inside, she couldn't understand who could throw away such a cute little girl. She also felt it was good that such kind people were taking her in. She quickly decided to add her employee discount to their order so she could assist in some way.

"You are really buying so much?" Jay was a little anxious. He did not know how he was going to pay all of this back.

"What are you worried about? It's not your money. This is all mine. I am buying her clothes, not you. I will spend as much as I want on my new daughter!"
