Kana stepped up to the testing stone with pursed lips because she was unsure of how she should do this. She could easily take out her sword and take the test but she was afraid of breaking the stone and then having to pay for it or something along those lines. After all, she gave all her wealth to her family, only keeping enough for herself to buy meat with.

"Is there a problem?" The young man standing next to the stone in gray robes asked.

"Mmm… Do I need a sword?" Kana asked, causing the whole place to go quiet.

"Ummm…. How are you going to see if you can resonate with the testing stone if you do not use your sword?" The young man asked. He was not angry, he just found Kana's question slightly strange.

"What if I just use my finger?" Kana pursed her lips as she held up her hand and extended her index finger, and began wiggling it around.

"I am sorry, Miss, but I think I will need to fai…." The young man was about to fail Kana when a voice came from overhead.

"I will allow it!" Everyone turned to see the sect master looking down at them with a bit of interest in his eyes.

Kana bowed her head before turning back to the stone. She took a deep breath and reached out with her finger and gently…

*Poke!*

*Shatter!*

"Uh…. I am sorry!" Kana quickly bowed her head. She knew this would happen! But even as she lowered her head in apology, no one said anything until suddenly, a yell came from the sky.

"She is my disciple!" The old woman who was in the sky suddenly disappeared and stood next to Kana and drew her sword: "Anyone who dares to fight me for her will face my swift lotus technique!"

"Old Lady, don't you think you are being a bit too hasty? Why do you get to be her master? My hundred sword domination technique is much better than your switch lotus!" The old man yelled out.

"I think you are both getting ahead of yourselves. As the sect master, I should get to decide…."

""Shut up!"" The old woman and old man yelled out at the same time.

Everyone just stared at the three people fighting over Kana in disbelief. "Wait! Why are you wanting to take her in as a disciple when she did not even use a sword!?" A young man yelled out.

"Yeah! She only used her finger. What if she used some kind of technique!" A young woman at the side also found things to be a bit unfair.

The old woman turned around, drew her sword, and slashed out, causing a heavy pressure to weigh down on everyone there, causing them to fall to their knees. The sword qi slammed into the testing stone, but it did nothing but absorb the energy. "Are you telling me that she used some technique to destroy the testing stone when my own full power strike can't even leave a scratch!? Are you idiots!?"

The two people who yelled out quickly lowered their heads, not daring to say another word. The old woman snorted and looked at everyone there. "What this child used is a swordless style, and it is at the pinnacle of the sword dao! She is a genius beyond geniuses! One of a kind!"

"Ummm…." Kana raised her hand, getting the old lady's attention.

"Yes, dear? What is it?" The cold expression on the old lady's face softened as she looked at Kana.

"Ummm… all my daughters can do this as well…." Kana replied.

"Huh?" The old woman stared at Kana in shock.

"I said all my daughters can do this as well… even my youngest…." Kana repeated.

"Daughters? Where are your daughters?" The old woman asked.

"Out training, although one of them will be coming once she finishes learning some technique she stumbled upon. But umm, did I pass?" Kana asked.

"Ah… Yes… So child, are you willing to become my disciple?" The old woman wanted to meet Kana's daughters well and find out if what Kana said was true or not. But even if she lied, she still would not let Kana go easily!

"Umm… sure?" Kana nodded in response. She came here to learn the skills of this sect, so she had no problem taking a master. The only reason she said something about her daughters was in hopes that they would take interest in Yana when she showed up.

"You! Old lady, you actually jumped in before we could even say anything!" The old man yelled out. He then turned to Kana and asked: "Will your daughters come here too?"

"One of them should come at some point, so yes. I am not sure how long it will be, though." Kana replied honestly.

"Then I will wait. I call dibs on being your daughter's master!" The old man was being forceful, which Kana did not like too much.

"That will be up to my daughter and not up to you. Remember one thing. I am the mother of the child you wish to take as a disciple. It is up to me if I allow you to take her in or not." Kana was doing her best to keep her calm because she knew this old man was just overly excited.

"You! I do not care what you say! If I say she is my disciple, she is my….." The old man suddenly fell to his knees, unable to breathe. As he clutched his throat, he looked up at Kana, whose eyes seemed like an endless abyss.

"I was trying to be nice, but let me warn you. Do not get funny ideas. If my daughter says yes, then she says yes. If she says no, then she says no. No one can decide for her, do you understand?" Kana asked as she knelt down and grabbed the old man's chin. Her eyes were void of any emotion. The aura around her made everyone take a step back. "I do not like it when people mess with my family."

The old man could only nod his head. He was unable to speak. He never thought the lizard girl was so powerful that even he, an immortal emperor, was at her mercy. Seeing the old man nodded, Kana smiled and stood up. The aura on her body disappeared as if it was never there. The old man gasped for breath as he sat on the ground in disarray.
