Ian knocked on the door he'd been wanting to knock on for days.

He was tapping his foot on the ground as he nervously waited for what was on the other end of the door.

It was an apartment, it wasn't even a palatial building, but it was affordable for someone with a slightly below-average income.

The exterior walls are painted white.

Suddenly, Ian's noisy thoughts came to an abrupt halt, the door opened, and a lady who looked to be in her forties appeared in front of him.

"Mr. Ian Rayner?" she immediately asked, seeing the young man in front of her.

"Oh yes. Can I come in?" Ian asked rhetorically, and the lady nodded and immediately let the young man in.

"When I first heard about Valerine, I didn't expect the interior to be so nice. But, I think it's comfortable and safe to live here, right?" he asked the maid as he sat down on the comfortable sofa in the living room.

The house he visited was introduced to Sarah by Valerine, who then asked Valerine to take care of Sarah on the condition that Sarah never be allowed to contact Ian.

But after seeing Lillian and coming into contact with this little guy, Ian himself has a feeling that he wants to associate with Lillian when she grows up.

"Really, Sarah is not a bad mother, I have witnessed her efforts for Lillian in the past two days, and this place, if it weren't for your help, they wouldn't have found it, and she wouldn't have been. "Didn't find this place. The wrinkled and smiling maid admitted.

"Don't mention it—

" "You have a big heart, Ian. You're doing something that no one else would ever do, or even dare to think of. After you've been through it all, this is... Pure gold," the lady said, her eyes sparkling with respect for what she had reserved for Ian.

"Well, why did you leave like this, how is Lillian? Can I see her?" Ian asked as he sat comfortably.

"Oh yes, let me bring her. I'm sorry I just talked and forgot what I had to do," she said, and quickly brought Lillian in.

After Sarah got the job, she didn't wait any longer under Valerine's instructions, and she brought a maid to take care of little Lillian.

"Here," she said, holding little Lillian in her hands, Lillian giggling in her arms.

"Come here.... Ian said as he took the baby from her hand.

Lillian is – a masterpiece. This was the first time Ian had seen Lillian up close, and the closer he looked, he found that this little thing was very cute, and his heart warmed.

"Am I holding it right?" Ian asked, trying not to crush the baby.

Ian is not a slim man. With his strength, it is natural to crush the little girl, and he tries not to.

"yes, I still need to wash the dishes before Sarah comes, so, do you think you can handle it?" asked the lady, and Ian nodded.

Ian's lips were closed, and he held the little girl and swayed back and forth. Surprisingly, even Lillian is no longer afraid of Ian.

"Who's the good girl?"

"Who's the

cutest baby?" "Who's the cutest baby?"

Ian grimaced, and the little girl laughed even harder. He gently tickled her and made her lie on the ground.

Lillian stood weakly on her wobbly feet, but her little hands clasped Ian's hand, and they were both laughing at how she could walk as best she could.

Ian is laughing at how cute the whole scene is, and Lillian just loves her interactions with strangers.

Nearly half an hour later, the lady who had been cleaning the entire floor walked in and wiped her hands with a white towel.

"I thought Lillian would cry for a while, but there was no sound. Glad she's comfortable around you. The lady said as she approached and took Lillian away.

"yes, I'm surprised, too," Ian said as she approached.

The lady then tries to take Lillian away, but this time Lillian cries louder than ever, not wanting to break free from Ian's warm hands.

"Shhhh Hush...... It's okay...... It's all right, Lillian," Ian picked up the little girl and began to rock back and forth while she was still in her arms.

"Wow... It's harder than I think now," said the lady, her eyebrows almost reaching her hairline. "May I ask something out of curiosity?" asked Madame, seeing how well they blended together, after a moment.

"Yes, excuse me," Ian replied, looking at her.

"Why are you seeing Lilliane, even after all this?" she asked, the question that had been bothering Sarah since she claimed that Ian would come to visit Lillian often and play with her.

Ian answered the question with a smile.

-

After a morning of talking to Lillian, Ian returns to the office, knowing he still has a lot of work to do.

"You're going to see Lillian?" asked Mason as soon as Ian walked into the office.

The old man stood in the lobby area of the office building, much to Ian's surprise, as Mason wasn't usually the type of person who liked to wander the halls.

"Yes, I did. "

So, how is she?" asked Mason, following Ian.

The two walked into Ian's office together, and Mason sat in front of him.

"She's much better. I think what we do is the best. Sarah will live happily ever after, and so will Lilian. It's good to know that a child's life won't be in vain. So, how's it going?" Ian asked as he texted Murphy.

[Please give me the coffee I always drink.] Thanks]

M: Yes, sir.

"I'm arranging to buy shares from three media outlets. I plan to meet with Twitter's top board tomorrow. It won't take long, but soon, we'll be able to figure it out. And I would say, it's a very good step.

"Yes, I know. I bet things will happen in time, so we have nothing to worry about. I have another movie idea that I want you to run it," Ian said, interrupted by a knock on the glass door.

"Come in Murphy!" Ian shouted enough for Murphy to hear.

"Murphy brought coffee. Can you read his mind?" Mason asked rhetorically, and Murphy smiled.

"I asked for it, I texted him as soon as I got here. Heck, not drinking coffee is a daunting task and a challenge. Maybe one day I'll challenge myself to go a day without coffee," Ian said, taking a sip from the burning coffee.

"So, what is this idea about?" asked Mason, ignoring Ian's childish side.

Murphy silently walked away and closed the door behind him.

"Well, another romantic comedy. "

Oh," Mason said, looking disappointed.

"Uncle's reaction?" Ian asked with a funny expression.

"I was looking forward to different types of things. Like, maybe a horror movie, a thriller, or something the opposite of what we do?" Mason asked rhetorically.

"Everything was fine, hopefully. But listen to this... The film will be about... Anti-authoritarian. I know what you might be thinking, but it's not. It's going to be about a character who has an incredible knack for skipping class and getting away with it," Ian said, taking another sip of coffee.

"Sounds interesting. High school students?"

"Yes, yes. That's right. So, he somehow dropped out of school again and embarked on an infamous journey through Chicago, which ended up giving him a cool experience with his girlfriend and best friend and beating the principal," Ian said and shrugged and smiled.

"Something simple and natural, I think I like the idea. Are you going to start writing the script right away?" asked Mason.

"I had to do some research, but after that, I thought I would. -

Night fell while Ian was still browsing the internet.

Although every time he started using social media, he reminded himself that he shouldn't visit it anymore, he ended up doing it anyway and enjoying that people were talking about Ian and his work all the time.

Honestly, it's a fun pastime for him.

Putting away his phone, he grabbed his laptop, which was lying awkwardly beside the bed, opened the tab he usually used to write scripts, and began typing.

"If you feel like you can't work, start and see what happens," Ian said to himself as he wrote the title.

Movie Title: Ferris Buhler's Day of Rest.

Twists and turns, days and nights passed.

More important for Ian is the release of the film Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, which he has been looking forward to for two years.

"A twelve-year-old boy ... I don't know what parents think! When a child... How dare Mom and Dad leave their children alone when he has enemies roaming around the city

!" (a round of applause)

"What? Is the bell ringing now?"

"Yes!!" "

Home Alone!!" "Home

Alone!"

"Welcome Ian Rayner... and Home Alone to Saturday Night Live!"

(drumming... Thunderous applause)

"Adam... How are you?!"

"I'm doing well, Kevin. How are you?" Adam asked rhetorically.

The premise is that Adam, Ian, Fiona, Mason, and several other actors from Home Alone are sitting on the couch. To their left, is the showrunner Kevin Jean.

To their right, the band is ready to take anything thrown at them. In fact, the band has the toughest job on the show. Songs, snare drum sounds, and theatrical effects are added and displayed through music and sound, which is their sole responsibility.

Somehow, in front of Ian and the others, there was a crowd of people who looked more than willing to come here with the others.

The set is small, but inviting. The sofa and the whole theme are complemented by black and blue – mainly because it's a nightly show, and it's a hit.

"Adam is interesting here, and Kevin is here. It's like—" Ian said and shrugged, gesturing at the spotlight.

"What's even more interesting is that Ian is here too...... of the creators, well, me," Kevin gave a strange look. "It's okay... Moving on, the trailer was discarded on the internet – "

"- and....

"- and....

He was interrupted by the cheers of the audience. Some even stood up. The camera caught two women wiggling their hips to the sound of the drums.

The cheers of the crowd soon subsided, and the host nodded with a smile.

"And, it's already got 7 million views on YouTube, what the hell is going on?!Seven million in just a short time!I'm willing to bet there are a lot of people out there who have been waiting for a big family sequel for so long that they see it as soon as they see the trailer, or they've been staring at the U-tube channel to see when it's going to air..."

The host shrugged comically, making Ian laugh too.

"What's wrong with your director, Ian Renner? What's going on?!"

The host's joking tone was visible and audible. His eyes were about to bulge out, and he leaned in to hear what he had to say.

"I mean... Who can blame me?"

"Ahaha!" "Well said

!" "Ahahaha!"

"

Well, let's be honest. I thank everyone who has embraced Home Alone as I did. Home Alone's success is largely due to how much people love it, and how much the cast loves it. Yes, it wasn't easy to create something when I was still very new in the industry. However, these reactions made me nervous," Ian said with a laugh.

"Why is that?"

"Sometimes it can be overwhelming. But I'm sure we're doing a good job. "

Yes!" (applause) "So, we have a quick game today. And, it's going to be about... At home alone, of course. Until then, can we have you all on the left?" Kevin asked, standing up.

"So, that's the way it is. I'm going to explain part of the story, with or without Home Alone, but you have to play a role in the role. Like, imagine, I'm Kevin—" (laughter in the background) "I'm Kevin, but imagine... *Kevin*Kevin. So-"-

The next day, it was the preview of the movie.

Many people, young people, adults, old people, and children, walked in through the entrance of the theater. Ian couldn't help but smile at the man who walked in.

It felt like he was at the premiere of the movie, where he saw so many reactions, and the cheers of the people who walked out that day.

"It's going to be fun. We'll know what they really think about the film," said director Harvey, standing next to where Ian was sitting.

"Not really. I don't think so. Ian said and looked ahead, and people began to sit there, feeling comfortable in the theater.

"Director, what do you mean?" the director asked rhetorically.

"Just call me Ian. And, in any case, these people will not tell the truth. So, don't assume that this is the exact reaction. They come here just to enjoy the services offered. If possible, almost everyone will only give a positive review. But, it doesn't matter, let's see how much they will like it. "

Hmm. Ian's words silenced the director and walked back to his place.

-

By the end of the movie, almost everyone seemed very happy to have witnessed the film they had been waiting for. Some are laughing, some are talking, and some are ready to walk out of the theater.

"I can't believe we can watch it with Ian Renner himself... Oh my God, he's watching us!" the lady said and waved at Ian, who waved too.

"It's good, in my opinion, so much better than the first movie! We love it!" the other girls yelled at Ian, who smiled but didn't say anything more.

"That's amazing! I love it

!" "I fucking cried at the end! Great, great!"

Whispering and whispering never stopped as people started walking out of the theater.

Many stopped to take selfies and photos with the actors present before they went. Regardless of their level of love for the film, at the end of the day, Ian was happy with what he had created.

"Uncle, I can't wait for the premiere to see how the critics react. I just had a gut feeling that something was missing from the movie, and I didn't know what it was," Ian said and shook his head.

"Let's wait and see. The movie premiere is the day after tomorrow, and I can't wait to see what happens—

" "yes, okay, let's see." Oh, there's a fan waiting for you," Mason said, showing Ian that he saw not just one, but a lot of fans waiting for Ian to approach the audience.

"How are you all, do you like the movie?" Ian asked, approaching the bar that separated Ian from the crowd.

"Yes!!We love it

!" "Thank you so much~

" "It's really fun!" "It's also

my favorite Christmas movie of the year!"

These comments made Ian laugh.

"Thank you, ladies. It's late—"

The brief conversation lasted about 30 minutes when Mason saw everyone excitedly talking to Ian.

A smile hung over his lips, and it disappeared when the Night Man approached him.

"Sir. How's it going, Struggler?" asked Jeff Sanson, shaking Mason's hand.

"It's never been this good. Please be seated, Ian is busy communicating with the fans. It's not like people talk to Ian every day," Mason said, gesturing to the seat next to him.

Jeff took his word and began to discuss things as usual.

Mason doesn't hate Jeff. But he knows what a terrible businessman Jeff could be. While he wants Ian to go his own way in the industry, he's also seen and heard things that normal people shouldn't see.

It's not specific to Jeff, but they're pretty normal things for the dark side of Hollywood.

As for how Jeff and Ian's relationship will continue to develop, Mason knows that Jeff could be Ian's real good buddy in the future, or maybe the complete opposite.

"Yes, yes. After all, it was his night. Even though I have a Christmas movie coming out next week and there is no competition at all, the film has already caught the eye considering that people love the theme of burglars being beaten by children," Jeff said.

"Ian can be creative at times—"

"Sir. Jeff Sanson," Ian stepped aside between conversations and held out his hand.

On the one hand, he folded his jacket, and on the other hand, Jeff was shaking his hand. What prevented him from slapping the kidnapped man in his face?

"Ian, I'm glad I can finally talk to you, you know," Jeff said and stood up. "I'm going to throw a party. The last film released by Goofy Studios was a huge hit. So, you might as well come and celebrate with me, oh, congratulations on winning the trial," Jeff said with a smirk.

What's the matter with this man's smirk at him?

, "Huh, why are you congratulating me?" Ian asked rhetorically, causing both Mason and Jeff to frown. "Didn't your lawyer have anything to do with Sarah, and was there to go against me?" he asked directly.

Although Mason was seated, he had been watching the conversation closely.

"Uh-huh, Ian. I don't know who the company should work for and who it shouldn't work for. It's not in my hands. You know. From time to time, there are many lawyers who work for Goofy. We hire their company from time to time and we have a good professional relationship, but that's about it. When I was also a client of theirs, I couldn't go to them and say don't hire client X. Come on, you know what's going on. Jeff explained, and Ian almost rolled his eyes.

"Hmm. Ian hummed and nodded. "I'll be there," Jeff said as he smiled again.

"That's my boy, see you then!" Jeff said as he walked away—taking his tall frame off Ian's sight.

"That's not good news," Mason whispered, loud enough for Ian to hear.

"I know," Ian said, the wheels in his head began to spin.
