The next day, Ian told Mason the good news. They started talking about the cast of the film, and they knew very well that there was still some work to be done before filming began.

Mason is looking for actors, including two thieves, who are in charge of almost the entire film.

But the main character, Kevin McAllister, remains vacant. Ian longs to find a child in this other world who perfectly matches Kevin's traits.

Kevin McAllister is a young boy who is wrongfully separated from his family and forced to defend himself against the bumbling burglars Malf and Harry. He is the youngest child of Peter and Kate McAllister and the youngest sibling of Buzz, Megan, Lynny, and Jeff.

Later in his films, he takes revenge on all those who try to do evil to him, mainly home invaders.

Kevin's cosplayer is a very charismatic person, and after the release of Home Alone in his world, Kevin became a hero in the hearts of many children. They are often children who imitate him. Kevin is usually argumentative, stubborn, and even aggressive, which is a trait of an eight-year-old boy. They needed a very smart boy for the role.

Ian noticed all of these personality traits he wanted in Kevin, and Mason had a copy of that too.

"We need a super smart kid for the role, and an average kid doesn't fit for the role." Mason told Ian.

"yes, do you have a number in mind?"

"I'll look around. It's hard to find.

Ian nodded in response.

-

It's been two days. They were looking for a child who would fit the role. Even though they went to many auditions, Ian didn't like any of them.

"I don't know what you're talking about, Mom!" The kid was yelling at his mom in the studio.

It was a really good 45 minute audition and his mom kept telling him to play some of the roles they had practiced before, or so his mom said, he was 8 years old.

Every time the child tries, his mom says, "It's not like that." "Excuse me, can we try again?" "I'll make you show your emotions more!" "Try again."

"For the last time. Do it! She spoke almost in a whisper, but everyone heard her.

"Hello man! I thought we were going to hang—

" "What the hell are you doing?" She intervened for the millionth time.

This angered the producers and directors likewise that there were benefits of having mom as a child agent, Ian thought to himself.

After being unable to handle it any longer, he said, "I'm sorry, but he's not the Kevin we're looking for." Well done, boy! Don't give up! He approached and patted the frustrated child.

Mason sighed sadly, silently praying that he would find 'that' soon.

The day was a long one for both of them. Almost all other children are not suitable for this role. Either he sounds fake, doesn't have enough potential, doesn't sound like Kevin, or doesn't look smart... Ian's list goes on.

At the same time, Mason was already negotiating with a number of actors and had to go from one actor to another to talk about the role and show them the script.

More than half of them couldn't agree more than after seeing the script. The few who denied it were because the directors were young and inexperienced, not to mention that the current state of their studio had a great impact on their reputation.

Most people accepted it because the filming would last a month, and they thought it was an experimental film.

It is not surprising that D-level and E-class actors play this kind of experimental film, so they accepted it without hesitation.

It's been a busy two days for Ian and Mason. They would come to the studio in the morning, talk, talk, talk, write a little, talk again, go home exhausted, eat, then sleep, and so on.

The most annoying part is finding Kevin. It's much easier for his mom to find Kevin during the much-hyped Christmas period in the original movie than to find a kid to play Kevin's character, Ian thought to himself.

They found all the necessary actors, except Kevin. The search for this character continued for another week. They are exhausted and almost on the verge of rest for life. It's so tiring to watch so many 'shit' auditions.

They all began to doubt the future of their acting careers. If they are not going to find a child who is only suitable for one main role, how will the young actors grow up and play the more important roles that are suitable?

One day, Ian was in the studio discussing their future plans with John's assistant. John asks assistant Ben to help Ian with things around the studio.

Ben is a young man with average experience in things related to the studio. Ben and Ian saw it when they first met.

He was really grateful because Benn was very eager in every aspect of his need. He is polite, humble and very open-minded, which makes him easy to get along with.

"So, how long do you think it will take?" When Ben decided to ask this question, they were talking about starting shooting.

Ian sighed, "I don't know. We are trying to find a child who fits Kevin's character. He's the main character, if not—"

Both focused on the door, which slammed open to reveal a grinning Mason.

"I've found Kevin!" Mason exclaimed happily.

"Where?" Ian and Ben asked in unison.

Ian and Ben were waiting for what Mason had to say. The joy on his face speaks volumes about what kind of child he found.

"I forgot about this kid, my friend is also an actor, and he has an 8-year-old child who is very talented." He said in one breath. He took a deep breath and continued,

"Perfect, perfect." He finished what he had to say.

"Why didn't you tell me sooner?" There was obvious impatience in Ian's voice.

"I'm sorry, I almost forgot about her, I haven't seen her for a long time, she is filming abroad, she is here today, call me when she sees the notice, I think this little boy can play this role." He smiled sincerely.

"If you want to audition first, can you ask them to come over tomorrow? Why don't I go see him? Ian asked, and Mason nodded in response.

It felt like a huge weight had been lifted from their shoulders. But until he saw the person with his own eyes, Ian didn't believe anything.

"By the way, why do you think he's a good fit for the role?" Ian asked.

"He's played some roles himself, all over the place. Moreover, his mom is very talented. I know for sure that this little guy learned something from her. So I really think... He's worth a try. Mason added. Ian nodded, not sure what to say.

When the little boy Adam first met Mason, he was impressed by his cleverness. Adam basically replied to every conversation they had.

Unlike many children who only nod their heads, babble gibberish, or say things that might annoy adults, Adam's discipline is outstanding.

"That's... What are you interested in? Mason asked him the first time he saw him.

They were talking about Adam's hobbies and what he wanted to do when he grew up. The question popped up randomly, but the little guy was excited to answer.

"I love movies, every Sunday, my mom and I watch a new movie, and when I grow up, I want to be an actor and play all kinds of roles, isn't that exciting?" He asked rhetorically.

Hearing such an answer, Mason smiled. At his age, Adam seems to already have a good understanding of the film and will even wonder what kind of role his mother is playing.

Of course, he has other hobbies, but his main focus is only on movies.

Adam's intelligence at his age is unmatched by a child of his age.

As a result of all this, he got a few roles in low-budget films, and using his ingenuity, he acted well.

Mason only sees Adam once or twice a year when he meets his mother. But because he was too hasty to find a candidate, he had completely forgotten about Adam.

It's a shame that Mason didn't mention Adam's name when considering Home Alone. Not just him, but if anyone who worked with this kid heard about the need for the role of Kevin, they would recommend Adam.
