Reincarnated as both God and The Devil

Chapter 92: Are you a Monster?

"The demon inside me seems to disagree with how ugly you are, and so do I"

"…What?"

For a while, only the sound of the lift going up could be heard as the two stared at each other in silence.

"The demon… inside of you?", Felix said. And after a few seconds, he laughed again, "Boy, you really say some stupid things. But even so, your power even among the humans is undeniable. It is just your luck that you have met me! KAKAKA!"

"You really talk a lot, mister"

"Do you know how hard it is to mingle with humans for almost a hundred years?", Felix looked at his trembling hands, "The temptation of just slitting their throat filled me every second. And now, to be able to do it again, you do not know how excited I am, boy. KAKAKAKA!"

"You laugh a lot too"

Hearing Viel's blatant disregard to his beautiful ramblings, Felix clicked his tongue. "But to think a fragment of the Goddess was only within the city. We were truly careless"

"A Goddess?", Viel placed his hand on his chin, "Is she on the other side of this door?"

"KAKAKAKA! How perceptive for a human, boy. Now die!", Felix spread his arms as his nails became claws of an eagle.

"Wait!", but before he could rush towards Viel, Viel stretched out his palm, "Before I kill you, can you tell me where your kind is hiding? I have… questions"

"Kill me? You!?"

Felix was starting to feel annoyed, even though he had told that boy that he was a demon, and showed him his ghastly appearance, the boy has still been acting nonchalantly. He thought the boy got scared at first, but this? To even have the guts to ask him a question? Ridiculous!

Felix jumped from his position as he slashed his hands towards Viel. It was the same move he did when he first attacked Emi, but this time, he tightened his muscles. This caused his veins to wiggle, and his nails to grow longer and sharper.

"Die!"

Felix shouted as he felt his nails vibrate as it screeched through Viel's abdomen. Felix's eyes widened in shock, it felt like his nails were scratching iron. Felix immediately looked at Viel's face, only to see him with a bored expression.

"You! Let's see you take this!", once again shouted Felix as he released a barrage of slashes. And just after a few hits, the boy turned his back!

"Running away!? Not a chance!", Felix continued his barrage, like a storm of claws raining down on his opponent, "KAKAKAKA!", he laughed menacingly.

"Kukk!", the boy let out a wince. Hearing this, Felix got excited. His strokes became even stronger, completely ripping off the boy's shirt.

Felix got excited at the sight of blood of a young one, but then he widened his eyes as he saw the boy's skinny back.

There was nothing. Not even a graze or a scratch could be seen. Seeing this, Felix stopped his claws and immediately jumped back.

"Hm? Why'd you stop?", the boy said as he turned around, "...you missed a spot", said the boy as he tried to scratch his exposed back, but failing to do so.

Viel's shirt completely fell of as he tried to reach for his back, revealing his skinny torso. Just a little bit more and one can almost see through his bones.

How can someone who looks like a twig be this durable!? Felix thought. It seems that he may have underestimated the boy too much.

"Boy, once again you are worthy", Felix said as he slightly crouched, "Worthy to see my true form!"

"Please don't. You're already ugly in this form. I just want to ask a question"

"GAAH!", Felix ignored Viel's taunt as he tightened all of his muscles. His muscles bulged almost instantly, ripping the butler's uniform he was wearing. His veins wriggled and throbbed as if they had a life of their own.

"Are you taking a dum-"

Before Viel can finish his words, Felix released a deafening growl as two horns suddenly protruded from his head.

Felix could not help but feel joy as he was finally back to his true form. He then smiled at Viel, who was intensely looking at his horns.

"Now boy, are you afraid?", Felix said as he looked down on Viel.

"Where are your kind hiding? I have questions", but once agan, Viel repeated his question.

"Still trying to act smug, boy!?"

Felix once again disappeared from his spot, and before a thunderous roar filled the cave and a crater formed from where he once stood, Felix was already in front of Viel.

He slammed Viel's face on the ground, once again creating a small crater around them.

"Alright, I'll just ask you then", muffled Viel.

Seeing as Viel still had the guts to act like this, Felix could no longer contain his anger as his grip doubled in force. He once again flailed Viel and slammed him to the ground, creating an even larger crater.

But Felix was not done, with Viel's face burrowed in the ground, Felix ran. Dragging Viel's face on the ground, the rocks that blocked their way shattering into pieces.

"I… just… want… to… ask…", Viel's voice flickering as the rocks hit his face, "are… you… a… monster?"

Hearing that Viel could still talk, Felix clicked his tongue in frustration. How fucking sturdy is this boy!? Felix howled in his mind as he lifted Viel from the ground.

"Do you consider yourself as a monster?", Viel moved his lips in lightning speed, voicing out his question as soon as his head was out of the ground.

But once again, Felix slammed his head, this time on the wall. Felix then proceeded to scrape Viel's head along the wall like a shovel.

Felix was starting to sweat, "…Is this boy really human?", he thought as he looked in between his fingers, to see Viel's eyes not even twitching as he spread his head like cheese all over the wall.

The boy was not even looking at him, Felix grumbled. He does not remember humans being this durable. Had things changed this drastically ever since he went idle and pretended as a human for almost a hundred years?

Of course, he knew that some humans have far surpassed their limits. But the human in his hand was just a boy.

…Wait, not looking at him?

Noticing this, Felix quickly turned his head towards the direction where Viel was looking at, and there, he saw the lift that Emi and the group were riding in. It would seem that ascending on the lift was much slower than when they were going down, not even reaching halfway to the surface.

"You… are you stalling time for your friends to escape!?", Felix hollered as he hammered Viel on the wall, completely planting him inside.

"HAHAHA! How sentimental, as expected of a human", hummed Felix as the turned towards the direction of the lift, "Let's see how you will react once I kill them!"

Felix crouched as the veins on his legs popped loudly, the girth of his leg almost doubling in size.

"KAKAKA!", Felix laughed as he lifted himself up into the air.

But he could only move a few inches before he felt a tearing pain on his foot, completely stopping his flight. He quickly looked down, only to see an arm protruding from the wall grabbing his ankle.

"I don't really care if they escape or not", a muffled voice could be heard coming from the wall.

A disgusting squelch then resounded as the grip on Felix's ankle grew tighter. Starting to feel a tinge of pain, "Hm? Interesting".

Felix was about to claw the arm, But before he could so, his vision turned blurry as he felt his whole body swing straight to the ground, "Oof!"

The force of the swing was too strong that it teared of his foot as his body slammed on the ground.

"You see, I just didn't want them to see…"

Hearing Viel's voice getting clearer, Felix immediately tried to stand up, his foot already sprouting back from his knee.

But something made him stop. He sat there as his whole body started to freeze. The whole cave started to feel like it was covered in ice. It felt like thousands of worms were crawling inside him.

He watched as the rocks bounce their way to the ground. The boy slowly walking out of the wall, pushing the cave's wall out of the way like it was sand.

He watched as the boy no longer had any traces of his child-like expressions.

There was only a smile.

The boy smiled as he jumped from the wall, still holding Felix's dismembered foot.

And the wider the boy's smile gets, the more the darkness seem to encroach the whole cave again.

And finally, once the boy's smile reached its peak, he spoke.

"I just didn't want them to see…

…who the true monster is"
