Rewrite the Technological Landscape

Response to content from a few days ago

It’s been three days, and I haven’t responded to the story about Foxconn being slandered before because it involves sensitive topics and I’m afraid it will attract monsters, and I don’t like to respond now, but seeing more and more people join this debate, I think I still have to stand up and explain, I don't want to see everyone "arguing" about my writing mistakes.

Maybe it's because my writing ability is limited, maybe I haven't expressed what I want to express, or maybe some friends feel too sensitive when they see this thing, so they don't understand what I mean and rush to "refute".

The core of those two chapters is respect, not salary increase. I specifically wrote that sentence at the end. In fact, the salary of Dafeng Group is similar to that of Foxconn, and I am not writing about salary increase at all.

The difference is in respect.

And the main manifestation of this respect is to give workers a better platform to work hard, more life opportunities, and take off the labels that some people have given them. It is not a matter of giving them a few hundred dollars more.

Because raising wages for workers is not a question of whether the factory can survive, but the overall environment. It is a very helpless question of the overall situation, so I won’t expand on it. Everyone should understand it, so don’t comment on it.

So I didn't ask the protagonist to engage in such things as raising wages. It's just that the factory environment is better, but this is a one-time investment, and this amount of money can still be spent.

There are three reasons why I wrote that paragraph. The first is that I have dealt with the working class since I was a child. I have learned too much about the helplessness of the working class. For example, that sentence I often heard before, many people have low education not because they want to have low education.

The second is the Foxconn CEO’s statement that we came to mainland China to set up a factory to give food to mainlanders, which really upset me. I’m sorry, but in my opinion, workers don’t need someone to give food to them. Workers eat with their own hands.

Maybe the reality is cruel, maybe I’m just an ordinary person and can’t do anything in reality, then I can at least ask the protagonist to do something in my own book, workers in our mainland don’t need you Foxconn to enjoy food, isn’t it just an employment problem Well, I, Gale Group, invited them to dinner.

Third, from the creation itself, this is to maintain the consistency of the protagonist’s personality. The protagonist has always emphasized the need to give employees a better platform for learning and hard work, so that more employees have the opportunity to climb to the top of the pyramid. Small, there are still few workers, so I didn’t write the plot of the workers. The factory will be expanded on a large scale in the next few years, so these workers are also employees of Dafeng Group. Naturally, Meng Qian also needs to give them a better platform to learn and work hard. Fits the character of the protagonist.

I have always believed that there are two types of exploitation, one is labor exploitation, that is, money, and the other is psychological exploitation.

I just mentioned the labor force squeeze, because it involves the general environment, so I won’t say much, but psychological pressure means disrespect for employees. I think the protagonist should do something, and he can do something, it’s as simple as that.

Now that Dafeng Group has decided to build an internal ecological chain, the factories under the company in the future must have at least hundreds of thousands of people, and the mobility of workers is very high, coming and going, this kind of respect may only affect 1 % of people, Meng Qian, the protagonist, can be regarded as making a little social contribution.

The following is for specific questions.

Some people say that I accused Foxconn of oppression, but I didn’t get anything out of it, because my book refers to psychological oppression. I may not have made it so clear, because there are too many words in the expansion, I was thinking about two chapters. Finished, sorry.

Some people say that wage increase is nonsense, but I did not increase wages. If it is said that the 300 yuan of meal card is wage increase, it is really a big misunderstanding. They choose what to eat with their own money. This is not a wage increase.

Some people say that letting employees attend classes will make work arrangements more difficult, that’s for sure, but the protagonist is willing to do this. If you want to respect employees, you have to do more.

Some people say that I look down on Foxconn, saying that Foxconn has research and development. I know that Foxconn has research and development, and it is very powerful. After acquiring Sharp, it started to develop its own computers, and Foxconn has tens of thousands of patents every year. I am very clear, after all Several of my friends are at Foxconn, but all of Foxconn’s R&D is delegated by the parent company, and I personally don’t think there is any contradiction between a company’s R&D excellence and respect for its employees. No matter how excellent a company’s R&D is, you still have to respect its employees.

A friend said that I wrote about Foxconn, and I actually asked Foxconn friends, and I asked before I wrote it. I didn’t hear that Foxconn has opportunities for employees to learn and transfer internally. I don’t know if Foxconn’s factories in different regions have them. Difference or? Waiting for science here.

Then someone said that Foxconn came out with a bunch of bosses, many of them came from the factory, and Hengye Electronics here is called the boss creation camp. I don’t know what the relationship between this and respect is.

Finally, I want to emphasize again that my focus is to give workers better opportunities and platforms, and I want to give them respect.

And today there have been some unpleasant remarks, so I posted this single chapter, and I also deleted some comments, including those who scolded and those who were scolded, let me explain here.

The most important thing is for everyone to read happily.
