Khun immediately gave a bow and said, "I am sorry, Chief Warlord…I was just making sure your human slave wasn't hiding any tricks up his sleeves. You know how annoyingly tricky these humans can be," As Khun said this, he didn't expect this human slave to be at the Heaven Ethereal Realm. Still, it wasn't at a level that concerned him.

'This guy is definitely an asshole,' Damien couldn't believe how slippery his tongue was since he could guess that Khun probed him.

"And you think I didn't bother to check?" Akira asked with a piercing look.

"You are right. It won't happen again," Khun said with a brief smile before leaving with a certain glint in his eyes.

Damien felt as if this won't be the first time he would come upon people asking questions. This time Akira handled it for him, but next time would he be able to face them alone? He felt that he had to figure out the actual strength level of these people and then find a way back to his wives. He couldn't help but worry if they might come upon these dangerous people and monsters. The only thing he could take relief in was that they were still alive.

He got distracted from his thoughts as he could still feel the gazes of the guards around him. Still, he didn't react to these gazes and simply followed Akira into the tower, where he came upon a vast dark hall with mysterious engravings adorning the walls.

It was nowhere as grand or beautiful as the palaces or royal buildings back in the Rising Sun Continent. But there was a sense of dark elegance, and there were many men and women walking through the halls, wearing quite simple clothes, making him guess that these people must be maids and servants.

The moment they all saw them entering, they all stopped whatever they were doing. Yet, it seemed most of them were unable to resist and shot secretive glances at him, staring at him with their eerie eyes.

Damien had never felt so out of place, especially since he felt like an alien here who was probably in the midst of flesh-eaters. He realized he couldn't really call them cannibals since these people weren't really human.

There were multiple corridors and rooms on their way before Akira finally led him to a large room where there were some servants cleaning up and tidying things.

"Out!" Akira said with a wave of her hand as all of them scurried out of the room like scared rabbits. They didn't even seem to dare to stop and look at him.

The moment they all left, the large, heavy doors closed on their own.

"Finally…Damien!"

"!!" Damien was startled when Akira suddenly hugged him without touching his injured arm.

Damien's hand was up in the air, frozen, not knowing how to react, as he saw this woman hug him and place her head against his chest.

This was the second time she was hugging him, and he couldn't help but smell the pleasant fragrance coming off her body. And the way her big soft breasts were squishing against his chest wasn't really helping him.

Her aura was no longer heavy and imposing, and in fact, he could only feel warmth from her aura. Nobody could tell that this was the same woman who toyed with three huge monsters.

Was she really his mother?

But suddenly, she took a step back as she said, "Ah…I am sorry. I got ahead of myself. You must be feeling very confused now, right? Come sit here while I take a look at your arm."

Damien awkwardly cleared his throat as he sat down beside her and said, "I…I am sorry…I am still trying to understand what is going on. But do you happen to be my mother?"

Akira, who was carefully inspecting his arm, suddenly stopped as she looked at him. Her eyes flashed with a cold glint as she said, "Your mother? Of course not."

Damien was a bit taken aback by her reaction, as if he asked something that didn't sit quite right with her. However, he was now even more confused about who this woman was if she was not his mother.

However, he saw her expression relax as she looked at him endearingly, "But…I am your family. Do you recognize me? I know you might not remember anything, but is there anything you feel familiar with? Anything at all?"

"I…" Damien didn't know what to say seeing her ask him so eagerly. For some reason, he didn't want to disappoint her, but at the same time, he didn't want to pretend and cause unnecessary trouble.

Of course, everything around him was strange to him, but surprisingly enough, her aura didn't feel so foreign to him. It was like dejavu. He felt like he did know her but didn't know her at the same time.

Akira shook her head with a dejected sigh, "It's fine if you don't remember me. You were just a baby after all," She then intensely looked at him as she said, "I am your aunt, Damien. My brother was your father. I only wish he had been here to witness this moment."

"Aunt?" Damien didn't see this coming, or he thought maybe he should. But he was indeed surprised to hear about his real father. For the first time, he actually came upon a place of his true origins where he was also looking at his own family, his aunt.

"She is indeed telling the truth. I can't believe you were really born in a place like this," Luna commented as she scratched her lips while deep in thought. It was as if things weren't as per her expectations.

Damien already knew what he was hearing was the truth without Luna telling him. After all, there can't be this many coincidences.

However, Damien noticed one small detail in her words and her expression when she mentioned his father, "Why did you say 'was'? What happened to my father?"
