Rise of the Cosmic_Emperor

396 Resonating With The Culture.

"Are you out of your mind?" One of them found the strength to yell.

Hal looked at him with a perfectly straight face,

"I'm not. In fact, once you have all given her a quarter of your wealth, whatever you still have and can still lay claim to will be at her beck and call.

Also, you don't have a choice."

With that, Hal's eyes which had reverted to their normal sapphire blue after his killing of Louis once again took on the nightmarish Devil hue as he released a torrent of Devil energy that the family heads could not hope to resist since their strength had been sapped by the beating they had been given.

They were powerless in face of it and it froze them in place as Hal began branding them all with the devil mark one at a time.

And just like that, what had taken him much scheming and planning to do in Salmon city was completed in one night in Dell city...

...

Bertha was more than ready to assume the role of Mayor and could actually care less what her husband was going through. Needless to say, he was never going to touch her again. Neither was Felix who when he finally awoke from his comatose state, was ready to serve.

All through the rest of the night, Hal indulged himself in the bodies of the mother and daughter and their moans of pleasure rang out in the castle.

Meanwhile, Bradley and the family heads who had taken mending pills to heal their wounds stayed up all night making plans for a smooth transition of power from him to his wife.

It was when they broke the news to the guards that Bradley realized he never really had the loyalty of the guards. They were surprised by his sudden decision of abdication but did not resist it.

They said there was no need to worry since the power remained in the family anyway but he knew they were just glad they were still employed and had not lost their lives in what could very well have been a violent take-over.

The one person Bradley was sure would actually showcase true loyalty to him was Louis but Hal had long since delivered the news of Louis' death to him. At the same time, he gave his spatial ring to Bertha.

After all, the new Mayor should be the one to accessorize.

The Ex-Mayor could not for the life of him believe how his life had changed so drastically in one night.

From Big dreams to big nothing.

The next morning, Hal left the entanglement of Bertha and Julie after he had filled them up with enough essence to JumpStart their cultivation and place them on the path to become titans in this region, to make a quick visit to the Harem space before he left the Mayor's castle to finally go to the Doxon capital.

He was closer to getting reunited with his sexy Emily and Beautiful Amelia.

He could very well have told them he was already on his way but he saw no point in doing so for now. Besides while visiting them was an integral part of his reasons for coming to the Doxon Duchy, there were other things he came here for.

Many of them involving the fact that it was the Dual cultivating Capital of the Haron continent and the prime location for him to farm essence that would prove incredibly useful to him in overcoming his cultivation stagnation.

He made his way through the city streets towards the Teleportation circle that Dell city had.

From Bradley's memories, Hal knew that even though this city was closer to the neighboring cities than the Barony capital, those in the neighboring cities still preferred to travel to the capital on foot and with stead-drawn carriages.

To make use of Dell city's teleportation circle would mean they would have to pay tax and thereby contribute to the city's ever-growing wealth which was something they would never do.

Especially since the Barony capital was not actually that far. It was a place they could reach in a few hours should they travel at full speed and if they could not or did not want to do that, they could leave their cities in the early morning and with a steady pace, they would be there by evening.

And then from there, they could teleport to any city they wished to go to.

When Hal arrived at the building, the Attendant runemaster looked up at him and demanded the exiting tax but he held up a Mayoral seal that excluded him from this requirement so all he actually provided were the Blue gems that would be required to power the circle and he stepped inside as soon as the coordinates were put in and the Blue gems were slotted in.

Then he activated the circle with cosmic energy and he was sucked into the void.

The Teleportation circle steered him through the void and soon, he was standing on a Teleportation circle in a beautiful building that could only be situated in the capital.

Hal took a deep breath and could not explain the hammering in his chest. He seemed to be reacting to finally being in the Doxon Duchy capital.

He shook off the feeling and finally stepped off the circle just as an attendant Runemaster came closer and held up a scroll to him,

"Name?"

"I don't want to say" Hal replied just as the scroll flashed and his image was captured.

The Attendant Runemaster left him with a nod,

"As you wish" he said in a bored voice while Hal walked out of the building into the sunny afternoon and when he saw the city itself, he could not help but inhale sharply before he slowly let It go.

It truly was breathtaking.

While the Silva Duchy capital had also been impressive to behold, Doxon went a step further with its beauty.

Also, it was rich in culture.

The people of the capital regardless of family or status shared a culture.

So common was it among them that the select few who probably did not follow this custom could not possibly derail it from its wholesome picture...

It was rich with Dual cultivating culture and Hal could feel his body resonate with that culture...

...

Meanwhile,

While Hal was standing in place in front of the Teleportation circle building and enjoying just being in the Doxon Duchy capital, news of his arrival was already reaching the ears of his mother in the Doxon Duchy palace.

"Duchess, I just received word. Master Hal is in the Capital. He only just arrived." Said the lady who came with the news.

Svetlana was in a lounge and dressed for comfort. She had shed her voluminous robes for a silk tight-fitting gown that showed off her mouthwatering assets so well.

She took regular sips of the cultivation resource-rich beverage she was drinking and did not pause or stop even as the report was given.

It was not that she did not care but that it did not come as a surprise. Elsa already informed her four days ago that Hal was on his way to Doxon.

The only question she could have had was why it had taken him so long to arrive at the capital even though the journey should have only taken two days.

However, even that was not unknown to her as she was already aware of how his point of entry into the Duchy was into Dell's gate city...
