System Journey to Godhood

Chapter 75: Bonding With Myriad Flame Golden Cauldron (Second Part)

Buzz!

The mark shone a blue light as Snowy kept engaging the mark with her will.

The cauldron started to shake, affecting the Qi in the air made them fluctuate violently.

Snowy adjusted the intensity of her will, like how people tried a different key to open a lock.

The processes sounded simple but actually spent a lot of Snowy's mental strength, which was apparent by how quickly Snowy's face turn pale.

Buzz, buzz!

After a few trials and errors, a change occurred on Myriad Flame Golden Cauldron.

The rune on its surface started to flicker the same blue light as the mark. After a moment, the blue light enveloped the cauldron wholly.

At the same time, Snowy's body also emitted the same light, which immediately overlapped with the cauldron's light as if blending into one.

'State of resonance….'

That was the sign that Snowy had begun to regain her connection with the cauldron.

Clank, clank.

The cauldron suddenly disassembled itself and clung to Snowy's body like battle armor.

There were no fancy ornaments or sophisticated accents found on the armor; it was just a plain golden armor that fully covered Snowy's body, except for her head.

Yet, somehow the golden armor's simplicity was perfectly suited Snowy's figure as if it was made especially for her.

Donned in this armor, Snowy's initial impression of a delicate and fragile fairy was replaced by the image of an invincible war maiden.

At this point, she could feel the fierceness of Myriad Flame—although it wouldn't harm Snowy, the intensity of the flame made it seemed ready to burn the whole world.

She could also sense the sturdiness of Divine Pristine Gold. Even though the armor is rather thin and light, no weapon could even put a scratch on it; that was the feeling she got.

Ding!

[Host successfully bond with Myriad Flame Golden Cauldron]

After the dinging sound appeared, Snowy's transformation abruptly cut short, and the golden armor burst into light.

However, unlike World Devouring Twin Daggers and Heaven Inquisitor Pipa, the motes of light didn't immediately enter her body but clustered together, forming a human's body shape.

Snowy's expression couldn't help but turned solemn when she saw the spectacle, and then she waited patiently for the light to finish their transformation.

Slowly but surely, the shape became clearer and more vivid, revealing a woman with short black hair, which accentuated her round face and made it look more charming.

The gaze of her big round eyes and the smile of her glossy lips gave an air of gentleness not that far off from a saint or a buddha.

She was dressed in an oversized golden silk robe, which made her relatively short body appear smaller than it was.

The woman didn't seem uncomfortable, though. In fact, the robe was her favorite dress because it matched well with the golden cauldron she once possessed.

"Alchemy Goddess…."

Snowy's body stiffened, choking her throat made it hard for her to utter more words.

It had been more than a million years, and Snowy thought that they would never have a chance to meet each other again in this lifetime.

"Wow, what a beauty! Are you my successor? But, how can your cultivation base so low? And, I can't sense any trace of medicine around your body, it seems that you're not an alchemist too. What happened here?"

When Alchemy Goddess looked at Snowy, a nostalgic feeling washed over her.

She might be different from her expectation of an ideal successor but wasn't she also the same or even worse before meeting the bronze cauldron and the system?

Alchemy Goddess was in a similar situation as the girl in front of her: Her cultivation was low and she didn't know anything about alchemy.

She was just a rotten piece of wood, couldn't be crafted. Only her mother still believed in her and always encouraged her.

Until now, she still remembered how gentle was her mother's voice when she called her.

"Tian'er…."

Tears trickled down Snowy's cheek as a name escape from her mouth.

"You… How do you know that name?"

"Tian'er…."

Snowy move closer toward Alchemist Goddess and reached out her hand seemingly want to feel her touch.

But, no matter how she did it, her hand kept passing through Alchemy Goddess' ethereal body.

Alchemist Goddess still in a daze, the sudden situation caught her by surprise.

Not many people knew her real name even in the era she lived in.

Even more so for someone who actually called her intimately could be counted on the finger, to be exact other than her mother and her soulmate, no one had ever called her with her nickname.

How can someone who lived far in the future recognized her and even call her by her pet name?

An absurd thought surfaced in her mind.

What if she actually knew the girls but not in her current form?

What if something nearly impossible was happening and the girl was the one whom she had always want to meet once more?

Was she really her first friend, best friend, and also her benefactor?

"System…?"

Alchemist Goddess' voice trembled, her eyes widen, and her mouth gaped when Snowy gave her a nod.

"System! You gained a body!" exclaimed Alchemy Goddess.

"Un." Snowy lightly nodded as she replied her.

"Wow, it really miraculous! Tell me more about it, system! You will share it with your best friend, right?" the Goddess' eyes glimmering in expectation.

"Un."

Snowy began retelling her experience from the first time she gained her body and consciousness until the two of them met.

The goddess was quite delighted that her wish to talk in person with the system finally came to reality.

However, it also caused her to lament the fact that she was only a divine will without a physical body; she couldn't hug Snowy even if she wanted to.

Snowy looked at her and asked her the question that had long plagued her mind.

"Tian'er. What has happened to you back then?"
