"What the hell?!"

Seeing Elder Yang's reaction, Feng Xue giggled softly with clear and sweet laughter, which was pleasing in the ears.

"That was my reaction the first time I saw Snowy consume some spirit beast cores, Master. I thought she was going to commit suicide at the time. Who knows, however, that she cultivates a unique cultivation technique that allows her to directly turn anything she digests into spiritual qi without repercussion."

"What a miraculous technique! That's something I've never heard of before. So it's no surprise that she was able to progress so swiftly," Elder Yang remarked.

After a while, he regained her composure and gave Snowy advice, "Although it can help you cultivate faster, you shouldn't rely on it so much that you neglect to strengthen your foundation. Without a good foundation, a High cultivation base is like a house supported by a brittle pillar; it will easily crumble by the breeze of the wind.  A slight mishap can ruin your future if you're not careful, Snowy."

Elder Yang pretty much held Snowy's talent and ability in high regard. Furthermore, she would join the Heaven Sword Sect too in the future. 

Thus, he didn't want to see Snowy making a mistake while she was still young.

He concurred that if she could mature safely, Snowy's achievement would be no less than his prized disciple, Feng Xue, or even higher than her.

"Un, I understand. Thank you for your advice," replied Snowy casually.

In truth, Snowy didn't think much about his advice since her circumstances were unique among cultivators.

With her heaven-defying constitution Primordial Essence Body and millions-year comprehension accumulation, Snowy didn't actually face any difficulty in cultivation;

Her foundation was excellent; therefore, she wouldn't face any bottleneck regardless of her cultivation base.

Nevertheless, she felt gratitude toward Elder Yang for his advice and warning as she felt that he genuinely cared about her wellbeing.

Only one thing that She needed to confirm that is…

"So, It's enough to prove my ability, right?"

"Of course, of course. In fact, I've always believed that you mean what you say," said Elder Yang while laughing awkwardly.

Feng Xue only rolled her eyes at her master's shamelessness.

"So, what do you plan to do now?" Elder Yang hurriedly asked to shift the topic.

"I want to continue my refining practice. Seven days later, I will start to refine medicine for Uncle Feng Xuan," answered Snowy.

"Can I stay here and accompany you, Snowy?" asked Feng Xue coquettishly.

"Of course you can," Snowy replied with a faint smile on her lips.

"Ah, but what if I distract you? I better not, then," said Feng Xue coyly.

"No, Xue. You won't be a bother. It's okay. I want you here," said Snowy hurriedly.

"Really?" Feng Xue hugged Snowy's arm and looked at her with upturned eyes.

"Un." 

Snowy felt her cheek gradually warmed up as her arms squeezed between Feng Xue's mount.

"Hehehe, don't worry, Snowy, I'll give you a nice massage if you feel tired," whispered Feng Xue softly into Snowy's ears.

"Uuh…" 

Snowy finally realized that she had fallen into Feng Xue's trap. 

The massage Feng Xue talked about definitely wasn't a normal massage!

Her cheek blushed as she imagined what part of her body would be the victim of Feng Xue's "massage." 

"I'm going to inform the Sect Master about the pills," sensing the ambiguous atmosphere, Elder Yang quickly excused himself and left the room. 

Although he was a single dog, he didn't want to be forced to eat a dog food!

While Feng Xue and Elder Yang watched Snowy refining pills, Rong Hua had already slipped out to explore the city. 

She hopped here and there around the city, searching for something.

She finally stopped when she came across a flower garden inside a huge mansion. The mansion was only a little bit smaller than City Lord's mansion, showing that whoever owned this mansion was someone with high status.

"Is this the place?" Rong Hua checked out the surroundings, and shortly her gaze fixed at a woman in a white gown who was tending the flowers diligently.

'Found the target~' 

Rong Hua approached the woman unhurriedly while enjoying the sight of the woman's beauty.

'Hmm, she wasn't as cold as people imagined her to be.'

Her hair and eyes were as blue as the sky, and her skin was as white as the clouds. Her exquisite and delicate features made all the flowers around her pale in comparison.

If Snowy and Feng Xue were present, then they would easily recognize the woman—the young miss of the Li Family, Li Xuan.

Truth to be told, Rong Hua's visit to Li Family's manor wasn't by chance.

When she was exploring the city yesterday, the talks about three heavenly beauties of Phoenix City had caught her interest.

Considering Feng Xue was one of the rumored beauties, the level of the rest of the beauties shouldn't be that bad; hence Rong Hua was eager to visit both of them.

Before she came to Li Family's mansion, Rong Hua had visited the Phoenix Pavilion first to get a glimpse of Madam Suyan.

Whether it's a wine or a woman, Rong Hua preferred it more aged.

Unfortunately, Madam Suyan hadn't come back to Phoenix City from her business trip yet.

Feeling a bit disappointed, Rong Hua decided to visit Li Xuan next.

Li Xuan, who was watering the flowers, suddenly came to a halt by the sudden rustling sound that came not far from where she stood.

Her attention was directed at a fluffy white animal that looked at her with its big eyes.

"Where does this rabbit come from?"

She treaded closely toward the rabbit; her steps were slow and careful; she didn't want to startle the rabbit.

Contrary to her expectations, the white rabbit did not run away from her but instead approached her slowly.

Soon after, Li Xuan stood in front of the rabbit. And then she knelt to pick up the rabbit.

"Wow, you're so fluffy," said Li Xuan while hugging Rong Hua. "Do you have an owner?" asked Li Xuan; she didn't know what had gotten into her that he began to talk to a rabbit.

Of course, this rabbit wasn't an ordinary rabbit who can't speak the human tongue; if the rabbit wanted to, she could easily reply to her question.

However, Rong Hua wasn't in a hurry to expose herself. So instead, she just snuggled up comfortably in Li Xuan's arms.

"If not, I'll take care of you," said Li Xuan with a big smile on her face.

Rong Hua twitched her nose, imitating a happy rabbit.

Seeing the rabbit's gesture, Li Xuan became happier, "Good, what should I call you?" 

'Should I call her Xiao Bai? Or, Xiao Zizi?' Li Xuan rubbed her chin, thinking of a good name for the rabbit.

"Xuan, are you there?" A gruff voice suddenly interrupted her thought.

A 40-years-oldish man wearing a warm smile slowly approached Li Xuan. 

"Good morning, Patriarch," Li Xuan's greeting sounds polite, yet her tone was cold.

"Xuan, you don't need to call me patriarch in private," said the middle-aged man with an awkward tone as his smile turned wry.

"I understand, Father. What can I do for you today?" There was no smile on Li Xuan's face as she talked in an indifferent tone.

"Have you considered Young Master Xiao's offer?"

Patriarch Li's question made Li Xuan's body tremble in anger.
