Seeing her reaction, Snowy wasn't dumb and quickly knew that the girl in front of her once again felt jealous.

"I think you're prettier."

"Of course, I am~"

Listening to Snowy's sincere words, Feng Xue's face beaming with a smile.

"Anyway, how do you know that she was your former host descendant?" Feng Xue asked while playing with Snowy's hair.

"You know that I have divine eyes right?" Snowy continued as she saw Feng Xue responded with a nod, "With my divine eyes, I can get the information about someone or something including their bloodline and physique. The truth is I recognized your potential because of these eyes."

Feng Xue didn't find it surprising, in her opinion at least what called Divine Eyes should at least do that much. She didn't make a comment and let Snowy continue her explanation.

"That girl, she had a special constitution called Immaculate Array Heart Physique, the same constitution that their forefather once had. Her surname also Chen, so I reckon that she was one of his descendants," Snowy said.

"I see. Did her forefather ascend to Heaven Plane?" asked Feng Xue curiously.

"No, he didn't. He barely reached Human Immortal Stages and unfortunately perished when he explored an ancient ruin in Western Region. He overestimated his ability and ended up trapped in the ruin. That's how he was, pride and stubborn," there was a hint of melancholy as Snowy tried to remember her former host with the surname Chen.

"What a pity," muttered Feng Xue.

"Indeed. What a pity," Snowy nodded in agreement.

"Our food is already here," Feng Xue said as she saw the same young servant they talked about walked toward them bringing their order.

Chen Xiayoun served the food in the table quietly. After finished serving, she glanced at Feng Xue with admiration in her eyes.

"Thank you for your help earlier Senior Sister Feng," said Chen Xiaoyun softly.

Her hand was fidgeting badly. She felt really nervous to see her idol up-close.

Sensing her nervousness, Feng Xue looked at her with smile, "Don't thank me. It was Snowy who wanted to help you."

Chen Xiaoyun's eyes shifted to Snowy. She suddenly remembered the fragrant scent she smelled when she was held in Snowy's arm.

Her heart couldn't help but beat faster.

"T-thank you, Miss Snowy", Chen Xiaoyun said shyly with a slight change of hue on her cheek.

'Aah, she did it again,' thought Feng Xue as a helpless smiled appeared on her lips. 'I just need to get used to it.'

Seeing no response from Snowy, Xiaoyun hesitated for a moment before summoned all of her courage to ask Snowy the question that currently bugging her mind.

"Um, Miss Snowy. May I know why were you helping me? I don't remember we had met before," she asked with a puzzled look on her face but then she got flustered after she remembered that she hadn't introduced herself yet, "Oh forgive me for my lack of manner, my name is Chen Xiaoyun. You can call me Xiaoyun."

"I know. Before I answer your question, can you tell me about your story?" 

Finally getting a response she excitedly answered Snowy's question.

"I am from a small family in Eastern Part called Chen Family. My grandfather once told me that Chen Family was once a Great Family like Eight Great Family. But in the great-great-grandfather era, my family started to decline.

My Grandfather is a close friend of the Third Elder. With the Third Elder's help, I was able to join the Heaven Sword Sect despite my low cultivation. 

But, I'm a fool and don't have talent in cultivation. I stuck in the first level of Qi Gathering stages for more than 5 years and could only stay as a disciple servant. 

The Third Elder kindly helped me to get this job to sustain my living here. I don't know how to repay his kindness." Chen Xiaoyun said in a self-deprecating sound.

"What is your goal?" Snowy seriously asked.

Taken back by Snowy's unexpected question, Xiaoyun didn't immediately answer. She thought very hard to gave her the most honest she could muster, "I… I want to restore the former glory of my family."

Contrary to her expectation, Snowy didn't mock her for her dream, instead, she warmly smiled at her with an encouraging look in her eyes. It was a little bit too dazzling for Chen Xiaoyun made her timider.

"Un. I understand. Can you take a look at this paper?"

"Umm, okay."

She didn't know what the paper was but she didn't refuse it as she somehow felt Snowy won't do anything harmful to her.

She carefully examined the paper where a strange pattern inscribed on its surface. 

There were a small circle within a big circle. Overlapped with the small circle two square join together forming an eight-pointed star with several indecipherable scribbles around it.

She became extremely focused and didn't aware the change in the spiritual Qi inside her body.

She didn't know for how long her eyes fixed on the paper but suddenly she felt something explodes inside her made her body felt invigorated.

"Wh-what?! I have a breakthrough!" she was yelling so hard attracting the attention of the entire floor.

Realized that she was once again making a commotion, she tried so hard to suppress her voice and looked at Snowy with eyes full of questions. 

"This… miss what is this paper?"

"Your family and mine have a fate. This was the first part of the cultivation method that your forefather cultivated.

Actually, you're very talented. Despite only using normal cultivation, you could break through to the Qi Gathering stage, which was nearly impossible considering your special constitution, but somehow you did it. You definitely not a good-for-nothing."

"S-special constitution? Me?" Xiaoyun couldn't believe what she heard.

"Yes, a special constitution called Immaculate Heart Array Physique. The only way to increase your cultivation is to further your comprehension of the Dao of Array and Formation. That's why you couldn't breakthrough despite your effort."

"Are you telling me the truth, miss?" 

Xiaoyun felt indescribable joy filled her heart. She now could cultivate and have a chance to realize her dream.

"You've experienced it yourself. Do I need to lie to you?" Snowy replied flatly.

"Thank you… Thank you miss, really…"

Tears started to trickle down from Xiaoyun's round eyes. This was the happiest day of her life.

"As I said before, this is only the first part of the cultivation methods," hinted Snowy. 

Despite her timid and shy nature, Chen Xiaoyun was actually really intelligent. She quickly caught the hidden meaning in Snowy's words.

"Do you mean you have another part, Miss Snowy?"

"Yes. In fact, I have the complete version of it," said Snowy, "Do you want it?"

"Y-yes…" Xiaoyun calmed herself and answered with determination.

"What can you give me?"

"I…" 

'What can I give to the person who can easily solve my problem?' Xiaoyun fell into contemplation. 

After thinking it through, she answered, "I am willing to follow you through mountains of sword and sea of fire, Miss. But…"

"But?"

"I need a little bit more time. I need to talk to Third Elder first, he is like a grandfather to me so I want to consider his opinion too," she said after much consideration.

Although it was a heaven-sent opportunity for her and Snowy might even decide to take back her offer. She really didn't want to keep this from the Third Elder.

The Third elder had done so much for her and her family so she wouldn't be an ungrateful person.

"You don't need to worry about Third Elder. With his kind nature, he won't make it difficult for you," said Feng Xue who kept her silence throughout the discussion.

"Still, I want to speak to the Third Elder first," said Chen Xiaoyun adamantly.

Xiaoyun expected that Snowy would be angry because of her presumptuous request but just like before she didn't seem angry and still wore a smile on her face.

"It's okay. You can take your time. I'll give you guidance if you face bottleneck on your cultivation."

"Congratulation, you'll be able to change your fate and be a formidable expert in the future," added Feng Xue, chuckling softly.

"I'll wait for you in Heaven Sword Sect after you finished your business," Snowy said.

"Thank you Miss Snowy, thank you Senior Sister Feng."

After expressing her gratitude, she quickly left the table and disappeared to the first floor. 

"She really is a kind girl," said Feng Xue.

"Yes. Hopefully, she won't let down her ancestor," Snowy lightly nodded.

"There is still some time before we can enter the sect, what do you want to do to spent the time?" asked Feng Xue.

"Maybe we can stroll around the city?"

"Anywhere is fun if I'm together with you."

"Hmph, where do you learn to sweet talk like that?"

"It's the truth, though."

"I know, I know. Let's go!"
