The Black Necromancer

517 The Army Of Destruction Arrives!

Nedra retracted her mind from Leon's Mental Space and focused on the ongoing battle. Although it seemed as if she had spent a while there, only a few seconds had gone by in actuality. She had missed very little from the fight.

Eventually, the fights came to an end with the loss of the three newly advanced Gods. They had put up a good fight, but ultimately, Kaladin, Nero and Grokus, had greater accumulation in the Celestial Realm than them. Their strength was also much greater than that of newly advanced Gods, no matter how outstanding those Gods were. This was because they were also outstanding geniuses in their own fields!

"Well done. That was a good fight." Kaladin spoke to all three newly advanced Gods who were recovering from the injuries that they had incurred from the battle. If he had to estimate, then Kaladin would say that they were comparable to a mid level Minor God even though they had just advanced.

"Let us return to the Master's God Kingdom to recuperate. We need to be at our best when the enemy comes knocking." With that, he snapped his fingers and teleported all of them back to the God Kingdom.

When they returned, they drew the attention of the Ace Candidates. A few people had noticed their leaving and when they went to check, they had discovered the six summons doing battle and then called on others to watch. Kaladin and the others had noticed them, but not done anything about it. There was no need for him to chase them away.

Kaladin paused when he noticed Dyson rise up to meet them in the sky.

"Dyson." He nodded.

"Kaladin... I knew you were strong, but why does it feel like you were holding back when we were dealing with the vanguard forces?" The golden haired man asked curiously.

"I did not hold back during that fight. In the time that has passed since then, not only have I been digesting my gains, but I have also improved in aspects that I was lacking in. It is only natural that I appear stronger than before." Kaladin responded plainly. To him, this growth rate was nothing compared to his master, so he did not pay it much attention. However, to other parties, it was something incredible.

After speaking to Dyson for a bit more time, Kaladin and the others finally retreated to the interior of Leon's castle where they could recuperate in peace.

For the next few days, they all poured their attention into restoring their prime states. As long as they were able to return to their peak, then they would not have to worry about underperforming when the time came.

And so, five days passed in relative peace before bad news suddenly broke out!

"What a fascinating looking world." Ijas, the Master of Destruction, said as he observed the world of Datar through a strange crystal ball. There was a haze around Datar that prevented him from seeing through the world clearly, but it was no issue to see it from a whole view. The haze was what prevented his Army from being able to accurately determine the strength of the world.

"I am aware that there are a few strong beings on that world, but I do not know much about their power." Izeal, the Paragon of Undeath said as he also watched the world through the crystal ball.

"But you have your eyes set on just one being. Let me guess, that being has consumed the seeds you spread across the many worlds?" Ijas asked, turning to look at Izeal.

"Indeed." Izeal simply nodded and did not elaborate. Ijas also did not try to find out more. He already knew of the true goal of the Paragon of Undeath. However, he did not care. As long as that goal did not hinder his Army's purpose, then Izeal could do as he pleased.

In Ijas' long lifetime which had stretched on for tens of thousands of years, he had destroyed many worlds. He had long since grown past the point of caring for the thoughts, feelings and opinions of other beings who were affected by his actions. His only goal was to carry out the Army's true purpose, which was to filter out the useless and stagnant worlds, making way for more fruitful worlds to be born in the cosmos.

"My army will move in an hour's time. Be prepared." Ijas said and his body burst into flames as he teleported away, leaving the Paragon of Undeath alone to stare at the crystal ball.

"Leon Cromwell. Prepare yourself, I am coming." The Paragon of Undeath whispered under his breath, his pale skin glowing under the light that glowed out of his eyes. His lips curled up in a wicked smile as he envisioned himself stepping ever closer to his goal of achieving perfection.

Perfection was something that he had sought out for a long time. But he was never able to achieve it the normal way. That was why he sought out an alternative means. Now, he would be a step closer to achieving his vaunted Perfection.

As the Army of Destruction prepared to begin their attack, the forces of Datar gathered to prepare their resistance.

Armies that consisted of billions of war ready soldiers were summoned from the territories of the Gods of Datar. These soldiers were either beings that had devoted themselves to these Gods before they passed from the mortal realm, or they were celestial beings that had sworn to serve the Gods until the end.

Even in the mortal realm, every power that had made it through the initial battle with the vanguard force pulled out all the stops and prepared for the world to end. Under the guidance of the Gods who had come in touch with the mortal realm once again, they roused the forces that they could, pulled out every ancient magic formation, and utilized every defensive formation that they could.
