The Blue Eyes

Chapter 224 - WEDDING PARTY?

A few days had passed, and they were currently preparing for Kris's birthday party that would be held in two days.

The party would be a simple birthday party without inviting many people, but they still needed to prepare it seriously. They indeed wouldn't invite so many people, but there were still a dozen kids in the orphanage that would attend the party too.

That was why they were discussing the food and decoration.

"I can't believe it," Jack suddenly broke the silence in the living room. "A 28-year-old man requested for a birthday party that forced us to work hard even on the weekend like this."

Kevin and Blue were busy with a laptop, trying to look for references for decoration and food. Meanwhile, Kris was busy with his phone, doing the same as the two people.

Now the three people simultaneously looked up at the one who had been lazing around on the couch.

"You aren't even doing anything, and all you can do is talk shit about me," Kris responded as he went back to focus on his phone again.

Jack, who was still lying on the couch, raised one of his brows while staring at the tattooed man. "I wasn't talking about you," he denied the accusation.

Kris could only roll his eyes before shaking his head lazily. Debating with jack would only tire himself out.

"So, we will hold the party in the yard at night, right? We'd better start the party in the afternoon so that the kids wouldn't feel sleepy later," Kevin chimed in as he ignored Kris and Jack's banter earlier.

He was no longer looking at the laptop screen but was now gazing at his lover.

"I think that's a good idea," Kris replied while putting down his phone on the coffee table. "We can have a simple garden party in the yard with white decoration. That will be so beautiful, right?"

Kris felt like he was just voicing a brilliant idea, but the three people in the room facepalmed upon hearing the suggestion.

"It's not a wedding, Kris. Why do you want to use white decoration for a birthday party?" Kevin responded to his lover while throwing a lazy gaze at him.

The tanned man chuckled upon hearing Kevin's annoyed response. "We can hold our wedding at my birthday party, Kev. Don't you want to marry me?"

Kris expected Kevin would blush so hard upon hearing how he flirted, but to his dismay, his lover just glared at him. "Do you think I will be willing to marry you without a proposal from you? And how stingy you are for holding our wedding along with your birthday party!"

Kevin was annoyed, Kris was giggling, while Blue and Jack could only stare at both men flatly.

"You two can get married whenever you want, but let's decide the people we are going to invite first," Blue suddenly butted in when she was no longer able to tolerate the nonsense.

Blue had decided to join in the conversation, and both Kevin and Kris simultaneously turned their heads to the blue-eyed girl.

"I'm sorry, Blue," Kevin apologized to the girl sheepishly. "I think Kris is the one who should decide our guest. It's his birthday, so he should be the one who makes the decision."

Kris was like a king with the power in his hands, but he looked uncertain when he made a decision for his party. "Aside from the kids from the orphanage, we surely have to invite Kevin's foster parents, and I think we should invite Julia too because she's like a family for us, right?"

What Kris said made sense, and Kevin nodded his head as an agreement. "I'm also thinking to invite Julie. There will be kids here, and Julia always loves to play with kids."

Kevin knew Julia so well, and actually, it wasn't only Julia who loved to play with kids, but Andre would love it too if there were lots of kids around him. Unfortunately, Andre was no longer there with them, and he couldn't even welcome his own kid when Julia was about to give birth to the child.

"Why are you suddenly so quiet, Kev? Are you thinking about something? Do you want to invite more people?" Kris seemed to be able to notice Kevin's gloominess, and he immediately tried to distract his lover from his thoughts.

Kevin smiled at the taller man. Kris surely was the one who could understand him the best.

"I don't have anyone in mind, but maybe Jack wants to invite someone?" The black-haired man asked while shifting his gaze to the blonde.

"Me?" Jack asked confusedly while pointing at himself. "Who should I invite?"

Kevin just shrugged as he tried to hold back his laughter. "Are you sure you don't know who you should invite, Jack? Do you need me to say his name out loud?"

The scientist was surely teasing him, but Jack still used his brain to think about the 'mysterious' person. And when he found out who the person was, he immediately gasped. "You want me to invite Casper?" He asked in surprise.

Kris looked surprised, but then he giggled as he stared at Jack. His reaction was different from Blue, who suddenly plastered a stoic expression on her face.

However, Jack seemed to fail to notice the girl's expression, and he gazed at Kris with his starry eyes. "Can I invite Casper, Kris? He's also our friend, right?"

Kris didn't even consider Casper as a friend, but Jack looked so enthusiastic as he kept pleading with his pair of puppy eyes, so he decided to relent, "You can invite him if you want."

And Jack grinned widely after getting a green light from Kris. "Let me text him to let him know about the party."

Jack looked like a kid who just received a balloon from his parents, and the three people decided to ignore him. And suddenly Kevin got an idea.

"Can I invite Luke too, Kris?
