The Founder of Qi Cultivation, Reincarnates?

358 Chapter 355- Conflict In The Tavern

It was already the next day and the Continent was bustling with noise as the Mercenary Association’s first carrier was departing today. The Imperial City was no different.

Inside a tavern close to the exit of the City, most if not all of the occupants were discussing something pertaining to the Chosen Tournament.

Whether it was Lu Shin defending his number one spot against Monk Zimo, or the news of the various geniuses appearing across the continent. Every news was being discussed.

At a corner of this noisy tavern, was a frowning Long Feng. He couldn’t care less for some backwater sub-region competition. Even though they had talents, would they amount to much if they can’t even leave this barren place?

If it wasn’t for the things he came here for, Long Feng wouldn’t stay here for a second longer.

Soon, Long Feng turn to Xiao and asked.

“Little Xiao, did you find those Divine Beasts like you? How were they?”

Little Xiao took the milk bottle from his mouth and responded.

“They were older, a lot older than me. And it’s strange.”

As Xiao said that, Long Feng could hear the confusion in his voice.

“What is it that’s strange?”

Long Feng couldn’t help but ask, and Xiao immediately answered.

“What’s strange is that they seem similar to me, being Divine Beasts, but they were… um… the word I’m looking for is… um… ancient?”

“You mean there that old?”

Long Feng asked surprised, but Xiao immediately shook his head.

“No, they’re old from the aura I sense around them, but not to the extent they could be called ancient. It's not like they're from the Primordial Era that ended tens of millennials ago. They are probably like me that was born in the past few years. However, they feel like existences like that. Ugh, it’s just confusing to explain, I don't want to anymore!”

Xiao whined as he opted to just drink his milk and stop talking about something so confusing.

What Xiao was feeling were Little Snow and Tai’s God Beast bloodlines.

God Beasts of the past were existences that were revered no different than Gods. It was a mystery, as to why a Divine Beast from the Primordial Era and two God Beasts that survived the God Era that come before it would emit similar auras, but there is sure to be a connection between them.

Long Feng listened to Xiao's words before he frowned and said.

“That nose of yours is just as unreliable as always.”

“No, it’s not!”

Xiao immediately retorted, but as a result of him not being careful, some of the milk he was drinking spilled and landed on his clothes.

“Ah!”

Xiao cried and bemoaned the fact his precious milk was wasted.

“What else could I call it? You aren’t even able to find out that thief was that Second Prince even when we were right in his home.”

Long Feng said while he used his sleeves to clean the split milk.

“I told you, I smell the aura you humans naturally emit. However, that masked person wasn’t emitting any! He completely erased his presence and any way to link his mask identity to his real identity. It's not my fault he has such an ability.”

“Yeah, sure, keep making excuses.”

Long Feng said that, but he frowned in his heart. How could he not be surprised this Second Prince was able to fool Xiao’s nose? He was angry that not only did Li Shen have superior talents to him, but he was also even more capable in his schemes.

Just look at how he tricked an entire Continent that he was some trash when in reality he might as well be a monster disguising himself as a harmless ant.

While Long Feng was thinking about these things, he finish cleaning Xiao’s clothes. But he suddenly realized something.

They were surrounded by a barrier that prevent their voices from spreading, but the tavern had gone completely quiet some time ago.

Long Feng looked up with a frown but had his face change slightly behind his veil hat upon seeing all the eyes of the tavern occupants staring at their table.

It was the milk Xiao spilled.

As soon as it spilled from the bottle, a wave of Spiritual Qi pure in nature bombarded everyone’s senses in the tavern like a tsunami. It was so overwhelming some shivered in pleasure.

Even if a thousand high-grade spirit stones were placed in front of them, it might not have given them such a feeling.

And that was just the residue of those split droplets of milk. They couldn't even imagine what drinking those droplets would be like, much less a mouth full, or a whole bottle gourd!

Greed flickered in each and everyone’s eyes as they stared at Xiao gulping down the contents of the bottle.

However, as they watched they suck in a cold breath of air while their hearts shudder once again. From the large gulps this kid was taking, the contents of the bottle gourd should have finished long ago.

A storage item!

They realized that the bottle was actually a storage item!

"Holy fuck, where did these two come from? To think they're just casually revealing such treasures."

As this voice sounded in the background, the desire in everyone's hearts rose even further. If it weren't for their strong rationality, they would have immediately charged over and tried to snatch the bottle from Xiao's stubby fingers.

Just a sip, just one sip and they could see some gains in their cultivation. Some even after several years without any whatsoever.

How could their hearts not thump wildly with desire?

But suddenly, a burly man got up from his seat and walked over to where Long Feng was.

“It's not common for someone to hide their appearance like fellow Daoist is doing.”

Seeing this burly man make his move, everyone who was harboring thoughts on getting that bottle gourd hesitated.

The burly man didn’t mind Long Feng’s silence and instead, he smiled while introducing himself.

“My name is Zihan Cong, but fellow daoist can call me brother Cong. Can I sit here?”

After Zihan Cong introduced himself, he asked to sit but he was already taking a seat before Long Feng could answer.

However, just before he sat down, Long Feng sneered in contempt and waved his hand towards Zihan Cong.

“Screw off!”

With Long Feng’s casual wave, a terrifying force knocked Zihan Cong back, almost causing him to trip over himself.

The tavern became even more silent upon seeing Long Feng’s actions. Zihan Cong also had a sour expression on his face.

In reality, Zihan Cong was actually trying to help Long Feng. Despite his rough-looking appearance, Zihan Cong’s name around these parts was synonymous with the word chivalrous.

The occupants knew that as long as Zihan Cong stepped forward, given his nature, he wouldn’t allow anyone to attack this youth for that gourd.

Of course, if it wasn’t for Zihan Cong’s late-stage Core Formation Realm cultivation, no one would care if he stepped forward.

But who would have thought this person who sounded like a youth would reject his offer to help and even attack him when he was receiving goodwill?

This was really repaying kindness with animosity. These people concluded that this person must be a young master of some clan that looked down on everyone. People like that were only alive in the cultivation world because of protection from their families.

however, they could sense that Long Feng’s cultivation was extremely high, probably at the late stage of the Core Formation Realm since he managed to knock Zihan Cong back.

But did he think he was invincible with that cultivation level? Or was he confident that no one would attack him because of his background?

Either one and that was a naive way to think. This was the cultivation world and when it came to obtaining treasures, avoiding who not to offend and strong opponents immediately took a backseat in everyones’ minds.

The only thing that filled these people’s minds now was how they were going to obtain that bottle gourd.

Some people were even seen sneaking out of the tavern. They were likely going to inform the people they were working for of such a shocking treasure.

The only way this young master was going to escape this tavern today was if he was a member of the Li Royal Family. Even if he was one of the top Noble Families, some people might avoid them, but to some others, they could just kill this arrogant youth before running away to the other side of the Continent.

As tension in the tavern began to build, Zihan Cong recovered and he snorted at Long Feng.

Since his help was rudely denied to this extent, Zihan Cong wouldn’t continue to stick around and lose any more face.

However, a gleam flickered in his eyes as he made his exit.

He wasn’t planning on being tempted by that gourd, but now that Long Feng showed him no face by blatantly rejecting his help, Long Feng could only blame his pompous attitude for his involvement in this matter.

Even though Zihan Cong left the tavern, he didn’t actually leave.

Meanwhile, Long Feng was in his seat completely ignoring everyone’s eyes on him. Xiao was doing the same as could be seen when he was still greedily drinking that precious milk rich in Spiritual Qi.

At first, everyone was looking on with contempt that Long Feng was arrogant enough to still remained seated. But they weren't complaining as this would allow those behind them to get here faster. However, as they saw Xiao gulping down the milk, their hearts burn in anger.

That gourd might as well be theirs at this point, who the hell was he to be drinking what’s theirs?

But no one made a move. Long Feng showed his cultivation at the peak of the Core Formation Realm.

Everyone in this tavern was only in Foundation Realm, with the strongest being at the mid-stage. They definitely weren’t Long Feng’s match even if all of them combined their strengths to attack him.

Soon, Long Feng couldn’t be bothered with this anymore.

He was waiting here at the exit of the Imperial City for a reason. Long Feng was watching the movements of the people in the Li Clan. Hoping they would lead him to that thief.
