The Moon Thief

Chapter 28: Raid Plan

Heinald decided to imprison and question the spirit of this innkeeper. After all, if he gave information about Bloody Teeth, the Agreement of Blood would destroy his body.If he imprisoned his spirit, he could easily question him; if he did not answer, he would torture his spirit and take answers by force.

Of course, this was not the path he chose to follow, but he had an agreement and he had to give his best. He would do it, albeit reluctantly.

After locating a suitable place, he immediately took the Uthus Core from the pocket of his robe and began creating the Spirit Imprisonment Formation. Dozens of magic pentagrams appeared on and around the Innkeeper.

A gray aura collapsing around the cliffs veiled. After a short while, the entire body of the innkeeper was beginning to fade and darken; Heinald immediately took out the Sin Stone from the pocket of his robe and placed it in the middle of the Formation.

A small white ball appeared in the center of the innkeeper's chest and began flying toward the Sin Stone. His body got completely darkened. The Sin Stone began to scatter a red aura around it.

"You damn bitch! Damn you! I hope you get the biggest damn!" When Heinald took the Sin Stone in his hand, the words of the innkeeper's spirit began to appear in his mind.

"I have questions to ask you, are you willing to answer?" Heinald asked. Even though this guy was not a good person, he took out his soul after all. It could not be said that he felt very well, but this man was his source of clue, he should have used it.

"You won't get a word out of my mouth, son of a bitch!" The innkeeper started to scream in anger.

"If I were you, I wouldn't be so sure ..." Heinald shook his head. He learned a lot about them from the books he read about spirits.

One of them was torture that could be inflicted on spirits!

When Heinald raised his hand up, a small magic pentagram appeared. Then,he placed the Sin Stone on the pentagram, the innkeeper started screaming poorly.

"You know ... Your spirit is trapped inside this Sin Stone, I can torture you as much as I want. I wouldn't want to annoy me if I were you ..." Heinald took a glance at the Sin Stone.

"Aaaaagggghhhh! Stooooooop! Aaaaaaagghhhhhhhhhhhh!" The innkeeper's cries of pain did not stop, and the magic pentagram Heinald created contained dozens of fire runes.

"I hope I was able to change your mind." Heinald took the Sin Stone in his hand.

"Stop! I...answer ... I'll answer ..."

"Nice! If you don't make trouble for me, then I won't make you trouble." Heinald smiled slightly.

"You took my spirit out, son of a bitch! What are you talking about?" The innkeeper shouted furiously.

"Aaaaaaaggghhhhh!" The innkeeper began to scream again poorly when Heinald laid the Sin Stone on the spell pentagram again.

The Sin Stone remained on the magic pentagram for minutes.

"Alright! I think you're ready, let's get started!" Heinald took the Sin Stone in his hand.

"Stop ... I'll answer ... Please ..."

"Thanks to this magic pentagram, I will know if you lie. I would never suggest you lie to me or I will burn you for hundreds of hours." Heinald created another magic pentagram.

"Where is your leader?" Heinald asked.

"I don't know! We never saw his face, even in robberies, he always wore a mask and hide hid his aura. Even though I was one of the chiefs of Bloody Teeth, I only saw him twice."

He squinted his eyes, the innkeeper was not lying.

"Is there a headquearters?" Heinald asked.

"Yes. We hold meetings in the basement of a shop called Dagger Pit in Ennsir Town.

"How many members does Bloody Teeth have?" Heinald narrowed his eyes.

"Only the leader knows the exact number."

"What are the names of the other chiefs and where do they live?" Heinald asked.

"I don't know where they live, but I can list their names." The innkeeper named twenty people who were influential in the Bloody Teeth organization.

"You came out of the tavern quite hastily. Where were you going?" Heinald scratched his chin.

"I had received the news that the Estrus Family's warehouse would be raided, tomarrow night. I was going to go to the meeting place of our organization and let me know that I would join."

"Raid?" Heinald frowned.

This information was a very important information!

Heinald immediately contacted Marcus through the item he had given him. He wanted to convey the information he had learned to him immediately.

"Tomorrow?" Marcus had listened Heinald carefully.

"Yes."

"How did you get this information?" Marcus asked.

"I used a special query method. You can be sure that the answers given are correct." Heinald didn't want to tell him the truth, he didn't want to reveal his techniques.

"Go and inform the Estrus Family and collaborate with them. So they will help you in case of an emergency with the organization. "Marcus was silent for a while and continued, "Inform me again me if there is another situation."

"Of course, sir."

When Heinald finished his conversation with Marcus, he burned the innkeeper's body. Then,he got on his horse and began to ride towards Ranton's place.

He might have known about the Estrus Family, if not, he could learn through his connections. When he arrived in front of Ranton's place, he dismounted from his horse and entered. He immediately went down to the lower floor of the place and found Ranton there, as is often the case.

"Heinald! What happened?" When Ranton saw him, he immediately asked about new developments.

He told Ranton the information he had learned. Like Marcus, he doubted the accuracy of this information, but got the same answer.

"Do you know anything about the Estrus Family?" Heinald asked.

"I know them. They are one of the city's prominent families. I can't believe they dared even raid them." Ranton scratched his chin.

"Take me to their residence." Heinald would talk to the family leader and tell them about the situation.

According to the plan he has formed in his mind: When Bloody Teeth raided, the Estrus Family would be prepared, at the same time he would be there to help them fight the raiders, thus earning the respect and cooperation of the family. After handle the raid, if raiders are still alive, he would query them.

"Alright, let's go!" Ranton nodded.

They quickly left and rode their horses toward the Estrus Family's residence, and stopped when they arrived at a large mansion on the west side of the city. There were many guards on the walls surrounding the mansion.

"Greetings, lords. What's the reason for your visit?" One of the guards came to them.He was an Apprentice Ainsar as understood from his aura.

"We would like to meet with your family leader." Heinald stood out and said.

"Have you previously announced that you are coming?" The guard asked.

"No."

"Please wait here." The guard entered through the doors.

After a while he arrived with a tall man wearing a black robe.Although the man's aura revealed that he was a Level 1 Ainsar, it was obvious when he was close to being a Level 2 Ainsar.

"Welcome, may I ask why you want to see our leader?" The man nodded greeted them and asked.-

"We need to talk to him about something very specific." Ranton answered.

"What is the content of the topic you want to talk about?" The man asked.

"Are you the family leader?" Heinald asked.

"No."

"This is a topic we want to discuss with family leader." Heinald had a solemn expression.

"I'm sorry, but I've been asked to find out the topic." The man is shrugged.

"It's okay, Heinald. We can tell him, after all, we just came here to warn." Ranton looked at Heinald.

"Do you know an organization called Bloody Teeth? They're planning to raid here tomorrow." Heinald murmured.

"What? What are you talking about?" The man's brows frowned.

"We have been doing research on this organization for a long time. We've just managed to get important intelligence." Heinald explained.

"Let them in, Hanberd!" A man emerged out of the shadows.

Heinald had not felt and had not seen he there.

"Are you sure?" The man named Hanberd had a solemn expression.

"Yes, it will not be a problem."

*Inside the mansion *

"Let us introduce ourselves first. I'm Hulan and this is my brother Hanberd."

"My name is Heinald, and this is my friend Ranton."

"We are sons of Aenri Estrus, the leader of the Estrus Family. We will talk to you." Hulan nodded.

"May I ask how you got this intelligence?" Hanberd had a thoughtful expression.

Heinald explained everything he knew except how he questioned the innkeeper.

"So that's how they collect intelligence." Hanberd's eyebrows were raised.

"I have no intention of compelling you to expose your method of inquiry. But are you sure there will be an attack tomorrow?" Hulan asked after a long silence.

"To be honest I don't know. The innkeeper died during the interrogation, if they noticed his absence, they might think there was a problem and delay the raid." Heinald scratched his chin.

The innkeeper's soul was actually in his hands but naturally, he did not want to tell them about this.

"You caught the innkeeper on the way to the headquarters of the organization, right? As I understand it, they have to go to the headquarters and give their consent before joining a raid. So if the robbery is successful, the resources they get can be distributed equally. Those who don't want to participate wont't participate, it's a risky job after all." Hulan nodded.

"So if he doesn't go to the center, they'll think he doesn't want to participate in the robbery. They might not think there's a problem." Hanberd exhaled.

"However, he won't be able to go to the tavern. When they realizes his absence, won't they suspect?" Ranton sighed and asked.

"They may think you are doing an urgent job." Hanberd made an assumption.

"My father went to the Lightclaw Kingdom yesterday to meet a friend. They must have gotten the intelligence that he is leaving. In fact, that's why I agreed to meet with you, it looks like it's more than a coincidence." Hulan squinted his eyes.
