That was the first time Lory ever lie to Lucas because they are wins she never have to hide anything from each other she knew he will always understand her no matter what she does and so did she, Lucas and Lory are separable from they were kids they got their owned language if you may say even after they reach adulthood and they have different things happened in their life but the bond between them never disappear.

The last moment she saw Lucas face his expression is haunting her even until now, whatever reason she made that day it could never change the fact how much she's hurting him and that guilt torturing her every day.

Zhao Li Xin tightens his embraces around her waist he doesn't know what else he can do. After a while Lory gradually calmed down she let go her hands from his collar, she pushed him gently then she wiped her tears she just realizes what she has done and she feels embarrassed she never cry in front of anyone except Lucas and her Father and that also infrequently.

"Sory" Lory clean up smudged on her face "Sory I'm dirtying your robes, I will compensate....oh no, I don't have money" Lory chuckle though how ridiculous she is, she can even buy his handkerchief.

"No, it's nothing….it's fine" Zhao Li Xin smiled awkwardly he not understand her sudden changed, most woman used to look gloomy and depressed after they cried but this woman in front of her giggle and smiling like nothing happened if not because her swollen eyes he might think is not her who was crying before.

"You are not sad anymore?" he asked anxiously

Lory smiled "Yeah, I'm fine" she nodded "Sorry …..you must be surprised" she smiled shyly.

"Why you so sad?" he curiously asked

"Well...…"Lory perplexed "I just remember something but I'm okay now, you don't need to worry about it….." she brushes it off, since she avoided the subject he not asking more questions, he also scared it only make her cry again. Never in million years he would have thought he would be this panic just because woman cry.

"You sure?" He lifts her chin makes sure she's not lying, his action genuinely worries for her, he not mean nothing else but Lory's heart almost jumps from her chest, her cheeks blush heavily "I…..Yes, I'm sure!!"

She dazzlingly smiled at her "Good…."He tucked her hair behind her ears so gently. Lory feels someone just kick her heart 'Thump' her face becomes redder than before she can feel how hot her face now, his deep dark eyes staring at her stopped her to look away and her heart is thumping like crazy.

"If you need anything you can find me or find Mu Han the housekeeper, he is my people so if something bothering you just tell him, I already remind him to take care of you so you don't need to hesitated"

He halted his pace then he turns around "Uhm...Good Night Ri Yi" he said awkwardly then he leaps and his figure disappeared in darkness night, Lory giggle he so awkward and cute at the same time, Lory touch the blue crystal pendant on her neck with melancholy look 'Another necklace' she thought, she lost the necklace Lucas gave to him when she was sent to this world it's sad because that necklace is the only token that reminds her about her family and home but now someone gives her another necklace, Lory hide the necklace inside her collar as maid she not allowed to wear jewelry, she can't let anyone see it.

She returned to her room, she lay down on her hard bed cover herself with an old thin blanket the previous maid had used. Beside her bed there's also two more bed like her, she shared her bed with other young maids but this can be considered good compared to other maids whose sharing their room with five or six people. Lory pulls her blanket to her chin just like Zhao Li Xin said the necklace makes her body warmer and the jasmine incense makes her more relaxed, after long years this is the best sleep she ever had.

Unknowing by her Girsha perch on the roof above her room, the bird had been watching her with Zhao Li Xin from the beginning because he not felt malice from Zhao Li Xin he not bother them, as matter a fact is a good thing for Lory make new friends and this seems not like ordinary friend, Girsha is not human he not care about talent, appearance or background as long that man is not hurting her he won't get involved, human feeling is too complicated for him. But she knew Lory is suffering she was haunting by her past people used to say 'people who had a lot is the one who lost the most' he thought I suited her very much. He doesn't know for what reasoned she was sent to this world and he guesses it won't be something good but he still hopes she found happiness no matter how hopeless the situation would be, she deserved it more than anyone she deserved to be happy.
