The Romantic Cultivator

985 A new temporary Homeland

When Ji Yuan had returned to his camp, Tang Manni and Little Jie'Er had already surrounded him anxiously and they were inspecting him for any injuries.

Earlier, they had sensed the release of a huge dispersal of profound energies in the deep recess of the Bloody Forest and were greatly alarmed.

Although they had not fought with the Abyssals before, they know that their spirit talismans only had half the usual effect on the Abyssals as they cultivated the extreme abyssal body cultivation.

The Abyssals are simply known for their brute strength and might; even a divine sword may not be able to hurt them and they were like the powerful profound beasts.

"Yuan Beluga, are you really alright?" Little Jie'Er paced around him to check his body for any injuries.

Tang Manni was sighing with great relief as she held onto Ji Yuan's hands, "Are you hurt in any way?"

Ji Yuan laughed softly, "Actually I am not injured at all."

Tang Manni gasped with a small surprise, "There is only 1 Abyssal? You are back quite fast…"

Ji Yuan was thinking: Actually, I could be even faster if not for Anyang and Xiang Li…

But he quickly smiled to them, "There are actually 7 of them. But don't worry, I have killed them all. They aren't that tough."

When Ji Yuan had said that, Tang Manni and Little Jie'Er could only smile a little bitterly; it was only because Ji Yuan was too strong!

In general, a spiritas divine consort is stronger than a celestial but they are weaker against the Abyssals but a celestial is much stronger against an Abyssal than a spiritas divine consort.

It is said that only the Demonic Race's powerful profound arts would have a better advantage than the Abyssal Race. Or maybe they are quite evenly matched.

Tang Manni smiled gently, "It is good that… Mas… Ji Yuan is back now…"

She had wanted to call him Master Ji Yuan as she was quite used to calling him that but Ji Yuan insisted that she tried to call him by his name instead.

He had laughed it off by saying, "You know. I have been a sect leader for hundreds of years. But none of my friends outside actually called me Sect Master Ji Yuan. Rather, they prefer to call me Brother Ji Yuan or Rascal Ji Yuan. Now that you are with me, I would have none of the social etiquette. Surely you don't want to make me feel uncomfortable, am I right?"

To the Spiritas, a Master title means a high honor and it is often only given to a benefactor.

Ji Yuan had helped Xu Yifei to restore her cultivation realm; that was the reason why Tang Manni and Xu Yifei had called him Master Ji Yuan as this was the highest personal honor that they could heap upon him.

Ding Jie'Er was now looking quite relieved after checking that Ji Yuan was really fine.

"Yuan Beluga," she sighed softly. "Why are you leading this group of people and why are you in this forest?"

Ji Yuan laughed softly as he quickly explained to her what had happened and why he was in the Bloody Forest.

It had slipped his mind to explain to them.

When Little Jie'Er and Tang Manni had returned with Ji Yuan to this place, they were actually quite surprised to see so many people as they had thought that Ji Yuan was alone.

Ji Yuan finally said, "After I have found a safe place for them in the Bloody Forest to settle in, I shall go to the nearest Abyssal city to explore it."

When he had declared his intention, Tang Manni and Little Jie'Er were both shocked; this plan was too insane and they were rendered speechless by Ji Yuan's boldness.

They still could not figure how Ji Yuan is going to enter the Abyssal city in the first place…

"How?" Tang Manni and Little Jie'Er asked him at the same time.

But Ji Yuan laughed softly, "You shall know when it is time. But first, I got to settle these people first."

Tang Manni smiled weakly, "So you don't know if this the right place for them?"

Ji Yuan laughed as he watched the happy group of people shifting their tents and ready to move on, "That's right. Haha. This Dark Abyssal is too desolate and this Bloody Forest at least provided some shelter, even food and water."

Tang Manni took a look at the red and creepy deformed trees here before she asked, "So, we are looking for the other humanoid races in this place? What if they are not friendly?"

Ji Yuan smiled bitterly, "I have actually thought of that before. If there is a tribe here, even if they are a small tribe, they would still be a match for this group of people. After all, they are savages here and have learn to fight better than this group of people. Maybe even their lower cultivation realm can kill one of the people here…"

Little Jie'Er nodded as she added, "Or maybe they reverted to their perverted and true evil self to slaughter everyone when we are gone. We don't know for sure."

Ji Yuan smiled weakly, "I have actually thought of that before. But I don't have a choice. I am struck with these people. Haha."

Tang Manni smiled sweetly, "Actually you do have a choice. Why don't you take them away from here? Back to your Celestial Realm? You can house them inside the Great Oracle Gate. The Divine Palace of the Great Oracle is safe even if we are not there."

Then she quickly said with a look of hesitation, "If my lord Ji Yuan thinks this is a bad idea, then forget about it."

Ji Yuan was suddenly grinning with a jovial look on Tang Manni, "This is actually a good idea. Why didn't I think of this before? Manni, you are really a smart maiden. Whether Destiny is angry or not because of this, I shall leave it to a later time. Haha…"

Tang Manni flushed when she had received Ji Yuan's praises and she shyly lowered her eyes to say gently, "I am your maiden now so it is only proper that I should share your burdens with you."

Little Jie'Er giggled softly and there was a flush on her coyly countenance, "But I think Destiny won't be upset with you, right? Just because she has left, I have asked her why she is helping me and she said that she is your maiden now."

Ji Yuan was startled that Destiny had even told Little Jie and Tang Manni this.

But he did not want to deny it as he laughed weakly, "Well, technically there is a reason in this. But it is only because erm… it is hard to explain… I tell you more next time… I promise…"

Actually, Ji Yuan knows that Destiny was with him because he is the True Devil God incarnate but he did not her to love him because of this. Rather, he wants her to love him because he is Ji Yuan and not someone else.

Unlike the other maidens, he could not reject Destiny directly because even though she looked gentle but he already had a taste of her profound might when they had previously met for the very first time inside her Delphi Palace; he did not want to die just yet.

Plus, he did have a feeling for Destiny too.

Ji Yuan was suddenly shouting to the people in the camp, "Everyone! I have a great news to announce to all of you! Everyone, come over here. Haha!"

Old Fu blinked his eyes as he looked in the direction of Ji Yuan before he hastily shouted to the rest of the people, "Everyone please gather! Our Patriarch is going to announce something to us!"

There were many excited commotions from the 100 people in the camp as they all gathered hastily to Ji Yuan; actually Ji Yuan's profound voice was audible enough to reach the ears of all the people in the camp and he did not need Old Fu to gather the attention of all of them to him.
