Torque taught me the art of stone engraving was the way to do it with a cane. Now there is no wand in Almark's hand.

But even though there was a cane, Almark didn't know how to use magic with a cane. You can keep doing this.

Just look at your fingertips on the cane. All you have to do is make an image of magic pushing through the back of the stone from your fingertips.

Almark bent before the stone.

Illmis frowns and looks at Almark.

Watch, Dr. Illmis. The fruits of my meditation.

Almark thought.

Thanks to the meditation my teacher taught me, I was able to do the art of stone engraving.

Almark gently attached his right index finger to the surface of the stone.

Close your eyes with a tingly cold stone finger touch.

All right.

Here, practice magic. Meditation.

Ugh, breathe in and increase concentration.

Slowly recall the words of Torque.

"Close your eyes and inhale deeply."

"Feel your magic in your body."

Remembering one by one, it gradually lets the magic in the body wander.

"Strongly hold the image of gathering magic at the tip of the wand"

Concentrate the magic of the stream on a single point.

I feel my own magic gathering at my fingertips.

'And breathing out sharply, I imagine magic thrusting through the back of the stone...'

The power that just cracks the stone builds up at your fingertips.

All right.

Almark was convinced of his success.

Later only activate this.

But it was then.

Suddenly, there was a mix of murmurs in Almark's meditation.

The concentration is inadvertently disturbing.

The murmur could have been called intuition.

Wait, my instinct told me.

Are you sure this is okay?

Are you sure you want to keep activating magic?

Almark wandered over why he felt such anxiety now.

Did you fail last time, so you became afraid to activate magic with it? Are you shaken up in the earthen pit?

You decided to do it. To reward Wendy for her kindness, I...

Almark remembered Wendy's face.

Always kind Wendy. Earlier, he encouraged Almark even though he said he was pre-exam.

What was Wendy saying?

"It's alright. Believe what Almark has done so far"

Yes, that's what Wendy said.

What I've done so far.

Believe what you've done.

Wendy's words ran through my head like electric light. At that moment Almark remembered the feeling that the mist in his head cleared up in an instant.

The identity of the ominous intuition I just felt took concrete form behind Almark's brain.

At the same time, the words my other classmates put on me before the exam cross my brain one after the other.

"It's a normal mind, Almark."

Morgen said.

"Just in case, you need to be nervous. You think you can do something?"

Torque said.

'Cause the teacher always says. "What you see is not that important."

Deg said.

Guys, the words were different but the directions pointed were one.

Everyone was telling me a lot of answers. I was the only one who didn't understand. The answer was already in me.

Almark opened his eyes.

Gently release your fingers from the stone.

Kneel in front of the stone and sit slowly on the floor.

I see eye to eye with a suspicious ilmis.

Almark nodded small and closed his eyes again.

The teacher told me to show you what the class accomplished. I didn't say a word about what to do with this stone.

What have I accomplished in this class?

It's... this, meditation.

Almark felt his mind free from tension and neatly clear.

I'll do what I can now.

Almark concentrated and worked out the magic in his body.

Carefully, politely, I remembered all the advice I had ever been taught by Illmis and worked it out exactly as I did.

I felt the quality of magic in my body increase and become clear enough for me to understand.

This is meditation, Almark marveled at himself. This was my first concentration so far. I had already forgotten that this was an exam.

"All right, that's it"

Almark returned to me with the voice of Illmis, who finally opened his eyes remembering that this was an exam.
