Sangzi failed to get a good response from Ji Lin, but she didn’t mind it. She continued to smile and looked at Siyu who was sitting obediently beside Ji Lin while trying to reduce her sense of existence. From Sangzi’s point of view, this girl was just like a little rabbit. Her pair of eyes were observing other people’s reactions when they got their lots. Sangzi couldn’t resist stretching out her hand to poke Siyu’s soft cheek. Siyu widened her eyes and turned her head in surprise. 

This made her look even more like a rabbit….. Sangzi crazedly shouted ‘so cute!’ ‘so cute!’ in her heart. However, on the surface, she was still as calm as before. She asked Siyu with a touch of coaxing, “This is Siyu’s first time in our show, so what are your thought about these?”

Usually at this kind of time actors/actresses would answer that they’re very honored to be on the show; that they’re looking forward to the game; and so on. However, Sangzi saw that this girl doesn’t seem to walk according to the norm. Siyu earnestly said, “There’re too many pits. I originally thought I could make friends on the show. However, now it seems that not ending a friendship is already good enough.” 

An old veteran actor opposite of Siyu heard her words. He suddenly clapped his leg while laughing heartily, “Siyu is right. The directors are really trying to give us a hard time.”

Sangzi was amused by Siyu’s serious attitude. She stretched her hand to poke her face. This time, Siyu didn’t dodge it and merely looked at her with a questioning look. But she still obediently raised her small face and with a pair of moist eyes, she said, “I don’t have that much meat on my face, but if you want to touch, just touch.”

Sangzi: right in the heart!1 I can’t stand it, how could she be so soft! 

If it wasn’t for the reservation that she felt because the show was still recording, Sangzi; this veteran small animal-con2; would have pounced on her. 

After the interview, the lots drawing had finished too. Siyu opened the curled paper in her hand, on which was written: Group A (Group C’s Mole)3.

No way, she’s actually a mole? Siyu gave her paper to the staff who came to retrieve it. Ji Lin immediately came over and asked, “J-Jie, which group are you in?”

Siyu said: “Group A, what about you?”

Ji Lin almost wagged his tail, “same with me! I’ve already said that we will definitely be in the same group. See, you made the right decision to come with me. Amongst the vast sea of people, we turn out to be in the same group. Wen Yuan, you see, this is what they called fate!”

He didn’t forget to provoke Wen Yuan. Who knew that Wen Yuan just folded his paper and gave a meaningful smile. While looking into Siyu’s eyes, Wen Yuan said, “I agree with what Ji Lin said, we really are fated.”

With that, he stretched his hand out to Siyu and said with a smile, “fellow group A, let me introduce myself again?”

Ji Lin’s arrogance was extinguished in an instant. He was petrified. What kind of lousy random lottery is this? Was it deliberately slapping his face? Why did it assign that fox, Wen Yuan, with them?!

Siyu looked at him tenderly and stroked Ji Lin’s head while thinking inwardly, ‘Don’t be happy silly boy, I’m the hidden traitor in our group. Strictly speaking, this is an ill-fated relationship between us……’

After grouping, Sanzi counted and sorted over the people. Siyu, Ji Lin, and Wen Yuan were in group A. While Chu Shuangyan, who longingly wanted to be in the same group with Ji Lin, was actually in group C. Siyu thought over it, what she got was Group C’s mole slip of paper, so that said, she was actually in the same group as Chu Shuangyan?

The directors, who were watching the contestant’s reaction from backstage, also got the group list. After looking over it, they immediately burst out laughing.

“It’s done for! You see Ji Lin obviously doesn’t want to have any relationship with Chu Shuangyan, but contrary to expectations, Chu Shuangyan was Group A’s mole. While on the other hand, Zhou Siyu, who has the best relationship with Ji Lin, was actually the other’s group mole!”

“Hahaha, it’s so interesting this time! But looking at Zhou Siyu’s appearance, even if she said she’s a traitor, no one would believe her. This is the mole who looks the most unlike a mole4 in the history of our show!”

Sanzi saw through it but she didn’t publicly address it 5. She tried hard not to smile while suggesting, “Well, considering that we have a few new faces in our show this time, why don’t we start with a little game to warm up first?”

Sangzi said that this game was very simple. Each group has to send two people to stand under the bucket filled with water. The bucket was tied with five ropes. There was bound to be one rope that was connected to the bucket of water. With one tug, the bucket would fall. The remaining member sits and asks the questions. Whoever didn’t answer in five seconds, will have to pull a rope. When the countdown stopped, whichever group that was splashed the least would win the game. 

However, this game has a pit. That is, if the person who got to ask the question was the mole, then it would be bad. Because they would definitely ask some tricky questions that are difficult to answer on purpose. 

Siyu (and the two men) were in group A, so they’re going first. Ji Lin was the first to volunteer, “Siyu-jie’s health is not good. She shouldn’t be drenched in water. So I’ll go. It’s good to let her sit.”

Sanzi said with a smile: “our Ji-ge is so gentlemanly.”

Wen Yuan also took the initiative to stand up and said, “there’s no reason to let girls drench in cold water.”

Sangzi blinked, “Ai, Group A seemed to be very harmonious. There’s no sign of intrigue at all. I don’t know why but I feel a bit disappointed….”
