Everyone panicked when they saw Luke, he stayed awake for 10 minutes before falling asleep. It was only Nate in the room now, it would be rather intrusive if they were to be there and not give them time to rest.

Nate looked at Luke sleeping peacefully and he could feel tears forming in his eyes. He was glad, he was excited that Luke was getting better, but more than anything, he cursed himself for ever doubting his friend. Even in the darkest of tunnels, Luke found him. The question of how he did so was for later, right now he was just glad.

"I'll explain everything..." Nate muttered as he leaned back and closed his eyes. The tears slowly rolled down his cheeks while touching the edges of his smile. Only one thought went through his head at the moment, and it was how much hatred he held against his family.

"Say Val…..did Nate always have that weird tattoo on his hand?" Layla asked as she tried recalling where she had seen it before.  It was familiar, perhaps it was a popular sign.

"Tattoo? I didn't notice anything…..why?" Valerian asked in return, curious as to why his sister suddenly showed so much interest in Nate. 

"No reason…." 

"O-okay….?"

Meanwhile, in another car, Aurora, K, and Jace were all seated. They were happy that Luke was fine, some more than the other, but there was now something else that had to be done. As one of the families, the Cirillo's had to look into this matter. Usually, they never involved themselves with each other, but after such an incident, the least they could do is investigate.

"I feel like we're forgetting about something….." Aurora muttered to herself. Unfortunately, her mind wasn't in a state to actually notice what was unusual. Well, the answer to her doubts wasn't something, but someone. It was someone by the name of Sage White, otherwise known as Everzone, a fellow guild member.

"Hmm? Worried about the situation? Or Luke?" Jace asked with a sneaky smile. The only reason Aurora was still single was that there was no one worthy and the fact that she hadn't fallen for anyone. According to Hector and her four brothers, If anyone did like her, they would first have to go through them, and naturally, it's not every day there's someone capable of going against the monstrous Hector Cirillo.

"What does that mean??!" Aurora asked with an eyebrow raised, the sudden and awkward mentioning of Luke's name made her forget about what she was previously thinking. Thankfully, Layla wasn't as forgetful, the second this happened, she left Sage a text message, informing him about the whereabouts of Luke and Nate.

"Nothing nothing," Jace tried to play it off, in an attempt to change the conversation K quickly interrupted, "So what's the plan now? Do we involve ourselves or not? And don't even think of keeping me out of this, that was my fcking disciple, no matter how much I respect him, the fact of the matter is, that he still remains my disciple, I do not care for any Basile Covencut, if I must, I will go after the entire family!" K stated. It was rather abrupt considering his tone, in the beginning, was usual while it gradually went up the scale of aggressiveness.

"Calm down now K….I wouldn't even think of leaving you out of this, and even if I wanted to, I couldn't, so let's not be rash here, after all, the Covencut's aren't any small family, in terms of influence they rival us, in fact, they might even have an edge, and Basile Covencut is not weak by any means. After all, it was him that put Luke in such a state. I hate to bring this up, but do you actually think both of us can do anything if Luke couldn't? He beat us both you know? Two against one at that….."

Nate was unconscious throughout the whole fight, which meant that as far as he knew, only his family was involved. He hadn't even mentioned Elena or the Richardson family, after all, there was no way he could. Perhaps if Luke was in a state to actively recall and narrate things, then he would've mentioned that it was both of them that contributed to his current state. However, the main truth is that the only one responsible for his current state was himself.

He broke his own limits and pushed past the borders once again. Nate had no recollection of any abnormality whatsoever, to him it was as simple as Luke overcoming his own fear to save his best friend while fighting off dozens of guards.

"Wait what???!! Luke took on both of you guys at once and won???" Aurora asked in a shocked tone, if she knew this then there was no way she would've attacked him in the VIP room.

"Ah! You don't know…..well there's no harm in telling you now then. Yes, it's true. Not only did he beat us both, he did so without any effort, so it's hard to see him lose to anyone. Especially when both of us were sure he's as strong as your father….but now that he was put in such a state by Basile, it's doubtful…." Jace said with a slightly disappointed smile.

"Well, why don't we go see how Basile looks?" K asked with an evil smile. He only just realized that all this time, they just assumed Luke ran away or lost the fight, perhaps it was because of the atrocious condition that Luke was in, but it only just struck him that if Luke looked like that, then Basile may very well be on his deathbed.

"That sounds fun, it's been a while since I've visited the Covencut's anyway," Jace smiled as he replied to his friend. Aurora on the other hand looked as if she had seen a ghost. Not only did she just hear that Luke took on both these legends at once, but won the fight effortlessly, and to make how she felt worse, they were now going to the enemy's base.

"I've never seen anything like it…..his shoulder is completely shattered. The tiny shards of bones pierced into his shoulder muscles, but more than that, his body seems to be conflicted….his recovery speed is phenomenal, but at the same time, it looks as if his body doesn't want to recover….." A man in a white coat and a notepad said as he pointed to Basile's unconscious body on a bed.

"…..So he won't recover??" Basile's father asked in return, he had an annoyed expression on his face, after all, Basile did fail the mission, however, what made him angry was the fact that someone was capable of stopping him.

"Err that's not it Mr. Covencut….." The doctor nervously replied as he took a step back.

"Then what is it??!!" he snapped.  This was the first time someone had the audacity to go against his word. However, that wasn't all, he now had a huge problem, there was someone dangerous left out, someone with a vendetta against him, someone who was capable of taking down his family, someone who had very clearly broken the threshold of human capabilities.

"H-he…w-wwilll recov..err…b-but it'll tak..ee time. His recovery r-rrrate surpasses hisss body's will to nottt….." The doctor stuttered as he adjusted his glasses. To make a mistake or to be hated by someone of Mr. Covencut's stature was literally asking for death.

".....Get out now,"

As soon as the doctor left, Basile's father pulled a chair and sat next to him. He looked at the injuries, Basile's face was dry and wounded. His shoulder was completely broken while his neck had a purple line.

"We'll get him. We'll get him no matter what," he muttered as he pushed Basile's hair back. As he was muttering away, he heard the sound of footsteps outside the room and a second later, the door's were pushed open.

"Mr. Covencut-"

"What did I tell you about barging in? I don't care WHO IT IS, It doesn't matter. So leave!!!" Basile's father screamed at the young lady that appeared to be one of the workers. However, even after that, she stuck around.

"There's a Jace Cirillo here to see you!!" she said while flinching.

"What??!"

"He's coming in here, and even when I asked him not to, he wouldn't take no for an answer...I tried sir….."

"Leave us. Let him come. Just make sure no one disturbs me when he's here, otherwise I'm going to make sure your family never hears from you again!"

A minute after the worker lady left, the doors parted once again. As soon as he spotted who was in the front it made him raise his eyebrows. It was K Johnson and on one side was Jace and on the other was Aurora.

"I should fire her ass…." He muttered as he realized what was about to happen.

"Basile never looked better," Jace said with a smile on his face.
