Chapter 237: A Step Towards The Truth.

"Cruffy right? I'm Prometheus,"

He raised the hand that held the sword and instantly dropped it. The next second the entire sky behind Cruffy was split into two and eaten up by flames. Red-orange light graced the skin of everyone present there, the warmth of attack, the smoothness, and his casual demeanor, everything scared Cruffy. He was a simple pirate, a low life who somehow managed to learn a thing or two about the fire style, but this was way more than what he had expected.

This was ridiculous, he was one of the characters that were on the same list as Yama. Humans who could rival the gods, although Prometheus was in the gray area, he was still on humanities side. It was funny how someone boasted the ability to wield fire in front of Prometheus, he wasn't on Hephaestus's level, but even the God of Blacksmithing would be more than impressed with him.

Prometheus, the one who stole from the Gods, the being that defied the Divine, the one who stood for humanity. He was many things, but after everything happened, the one thing he loved and focused on was traveling. Of course, he enjoyed the casual and extremely short runs against pirates.

He wasn't particularly a human, it was more like he was stripped of his Divinity, it was the worst, but that was his punishment for helping the humans, not only was he imprisoned and forced to suffer, he was also thrown into the world where he was made to live amongst the humans he loved so much.

Yama and Prometheus, these two were beings that were more or less on the same scale, although Yama was human, and Prometheus wasn't. The two of them were living proof that there existed a newer, and growing power source, the Order. The energy of everything around them, not from a never-ending void that filled the gap that reality left. It was something that couldn't be comprehended, meanwhile, Order was something that could be felt and explained. It was everything that existed around one.

Was Prometheus's destination known? Unfortunately, that was something he left to chance, he followed the winds and the waves, and never went against nature. The issue with casually visiting the Continent of Alexandria was that The Dragon Born King wasn't very fond of people who could rival his power level coming close for no reason. As a matter of fact, there was a good chance he would be standing at the port even before Prometheus comes anywhere close by.

"….." Cruffy was alive, barely, the damage received from his own mental state was far more than what Prometheus's attack did to him, the shock he received, the sheer energy and destruction he just witnessed, shook up his entire reality. His understanding of the world was no longer the same, everything was different, his memories and impressions of what power was no longer existed. His mouth slowly started foaming, the feelings he experienced at the moment were far too overwhelming for him properly comprehend or process. His body slowly moved towards destruction but thankfully, he passed out before it could get any worse.

"Did you have to do that?"

"Did the nostalgia hit too hard?" Prometheus replied with a smirk, his deep blue eyes and fair skin shining under the warm sunlight, his top had a torch engraved onto its back, it was a dark purple color and his pants were black. This was his usual outfit, something he found comfort in, and only changed when he found it absolutely necessary. Somewhere far above them was an eagle that soared around angrily, it descended and by the looks of it, it was coming straight towards Prometheus, in just a single second, the eagle appeared on his shoulder, perhaps the angry look was because he could've killed his own pet.

"Aetos, you know I didn't mean to do that…right?" he said as he rubbed the golden eagle's chin. Aetos was a massive golden eagle that had the ability to change its size, the truth was that this was the very same eagle that was sent to eat Prometheus's liver. Aetos Dios, Zeus's very own eagle, his very own symbol, it wasn't stolen by Prometheus, it was simply that Aetos chose him over the Tyrant King Zeus.

It was already established that Yama was an outstanding and unique character, however, there was a difference in achievements. Prometheus's existence was something that couldn't easily be understood. He was stripped of his divinity, his pride, a good part of his power. He was shamed for his deed, he was ostracized, but the truth was….he was still the first person to trick Zeus.

According to the stories, Zeus's main reason to punish Prometheus was that the latter refused to tell Zeus which offspring of his would overthrow him. Of course, after gaining this knowledge, Zeus took no chances and married off Thetis to Peleus, who then gave birth to Achilles, the greatest warrior of the Greeks.

Perhaps history would've been different if Achilles was fathered by a Divine being, it was still hazy what the real truth was but the one thing that was for sure was that Prometheus would be one of the first to know if and when anything of the sort was about to happen.

"Let's go to the Beast kingdom," he turned around and looked in a certain direction, a golden line encircled his blue eyes for a second, his thoughts quite literally broke through the barrier of time, he was the titan that stole the fire, the one named the Forethinker.

[The One who fights in the front, The Unwearying One, The Goddess of Wisdom and Battle Strategy finds your inner turmoil quite unnecessary. She questions your need to constantly compare and over think]

[The Goddess adds that Night is an existence that even she cannot truly comprehend, she says now that you will now have to work closely with him, especially due to this event]

[Athena asks you to live outside your head a little]

[Athena asks you to see the world as it truly is]

[Your mentality is slowly regaining stability!!]

"Is it worth seeing the world through these blurry lenses?" A voice that Luke would recognize echoed through her head. "Is it worth suffering only so you can avoid the truth of life?"

[You are being questioned by the Embodiment of Wisdom!]

"I….I do not know…..I have no answer to that…" Irina replied as she whispered to herself. She sat down in a corner and hugged her knees.

"All that thinking and you've never taught about yourself? Why do you overthink if it isn't for you? Who do you worry for if not yourself? Speak up, and don't "bottle" up your thoughts,"

"Hah…" Irina slightly chuckled, "that's easy for you to say, aren't you the Goddess of Wisdom…"

"You're a funny one. I have all the knowledge the world holds, how much turmoil do you think my mind is in? Every variable ever exists in my head. Every factor is taken into consideration, even those that aren't very important are caught under my gaze. How much unnecessary thinking do you think I do?"

"...What do I do….." Irina asked as she buried her face into her knees.

"I told you already," Athena's gentle voice echoed in her mind, "go find Night. Learn from him if you have to, do anything, but stay around him and observe him. I cannot check in on you very often at the moment, nor can I give you my blessing, but if you wait for long enough, then I assure you. You will have my blessing,"

[Athena's presence is no longer detected!]

"...What even is going on….." Irina was far too confused to think about anything, she was exhausted and didn't care about anything at the moment.

Meanwhile, Kenny Smith was on the highest floor in his private mansion, he had a screen similar to the one he and Reed stared at, but this was only for him, it was weird, as he watched the different scenes, Kenny randomly zoned out. He was notified of Athena's presence and immediately spectated Irina, however, halfway through, something drained his attention. It was himself, his thoughts were racing, memories that didn't belong to him were slowly returning to him, nothing too certain and clear at the moment, but for some reason, he had this sense of uneasiness, a feeling that something bad was going to happen.

"Athena….." He whispered under his breath for reasons he would soon know. What was going on? What connection did he have to Athena? However, before he could question anything further, the voice of the supercomputer ATHENA entered his earpiece.

[Requesting retinal scan for accessing documents]

"Huh? Okay…" Kenny randomly walked to a corner and leaned forward, the next second a green laser shot out and captured his eye scan, however, it didn't stop there, even after the scan the laser continue for a few more seconds until it finally stopped.

[Retinal scan completed]

"Alright….." Kenny scratched his head, he had no idea what he was doing there, all his previous thoughts were just weirdly deleted, "I'm getting too old for this shit…" he cursed as he crashed onto the sofa.
