Unlucky?Player

Chapter 70 - 70)Manipulate Everything.

"It's been a few days since I've begun smithing and so far other than the gold loss I don't see anything great, I managed to clear the first two conditions of making 5 common grade weapons and 2 uncommon items....but the items are just too horrible,

I understand my luck being shit, but isn't this a little too much? all of them look flimsy and awkward, no matter how much I try I just can't manipulate Iron in a way that would be beneficial, I can't use any other metal until I learn how to smith properly....haaaah, if only I could manipulate it properly...wait ....manipulate???!!"

Night suddenly stood up even startling his two companions who were fast asleep on a nearby bench. 'If I cant manipulate Iron then can't I just use something that I can manipulate?? would that work...?' he thought to himself as he stepped out of the smithing center.

"If this works, it'll be amazing, Heck it'll be one of a kind...at least I'd like to think so.." Night muttered to himself as he took a bucket and began collecting something. To the passerby's he looked like a jobless or frustrated Blacksmith but Night knew that if this worked it would be more than worth it.

Once he was back in the room, he placed the bucket in front of him. Curious as to what his Lord rushed to get, Shade peaked into the bucket to find something that common, in fact, especially around the Norse regions' this substance was more than common, it was in abundance, it was ice!

Noticing Shade's confused look Night said, "just look, if this works you can praise me,"

Night then held his hand over the bucket and closed his eyes, he activated the 'Frost touch' skill and slowly tried to control the ice in the bucket, first he raised all the ice out of the bucket then proceeded to compress it until it was hard enough, unfortunately, one bucket of ice wasn't even enough to form the hilt of the weapon.

"Damn....for the weapon I'm going for I'll need more than 20 buckets of ice...Shade tell Gerard that I require his assistance with something..."

As bewildered as Shade was he immediately nodded his head and left the room to get Gerard, Noctis was still fast asleep otherwise he probably would be trying to play with the ice that was floating.

Once Gerard entered the room with Shade following him, he immediately spotted the floating ice and exclaimed, "What on earth...? you aren't just a normal traveler, are you? fine, you win, I'm curious, I'll listen to what you have to say."

Night liked how Gerard immediately caught onto what he was trying, "Well it isn't much but I need the two of you to gather ice, as much as you can," Night said before pointing to the floating ball of compressed ice and said, "all this came from one bucket so you can imagine how much I would need..."

"Alright, we'll take care of it and I'm assuming you don't want others to know of it, so I won't tell anyone," Gerard said as he and Shade left the room to gather ice. Night appreciated Gerard's passion for smithing, he was sincere and focused which made him trustworthy, though Night could be wrong but he wanted to believe that Gerard indeed was a trustworthy person.

After a few minutes, the room was filled with at least 20 buckets of ice, thankfully Gerard put the fire in the forge off so the ice wouldn't melt.

"Alright, here we go..." Night announced.

The others calmly looked at Night, with his permission Gerard even invited his Grandmother to watch, she was someone who was extremely interested and knowledgeable when it came to blacksmithing so he thought she might enjoy Night's attempt.

Slowly the ice left the buckets and was now in the air, Night held out his hand and made a crushing gesture with his right hand causing all the ice in the air to compress into one huge ball of ice, the ball slowly floated towards Night and stopped once it was within arms reach.

He held out his hand and stretched the ice into a pole, it shone brightly after being compressed multiple times, it looked like a crystal pole, it was about 7'feet but Night didn't stop there, he then closed his eyes and imagined the end of the pole shortening into itself before it split into three different directions, forming sharp crystal prongs, the creation was now around 6'feet after all the end was cut off to form three prongs.

But he didn't stop there, in fact, by then he had already received multiple notifications, he then let the item levitate before he activated his skill, 'Darkness Generation' which allowed him to create pure darkness at the cost of 10,000 Mp per second, as of now Night could maintain the skill for nearly 9 seconds, of course, this was with the buff of 'Glacial Balance', without further hesitation he controlled the darkness that was generated and covered his item fully,

Originally he only planned on making the item out of ice and stopping there but he remembered that his darkness could weirdly protect an object's temperature, when he was in Tokihiko, he covered himself with his darkness which allowed him to retain all the heat in his body.

After 8 seconds of completely covering the darkness, Night deactivated his skill, from then on he could freely control it with Umbrakinesis. The others just watched with wide eyes as they looked at the weapon he had created.
