Witcher at Hogwarts

Chapter 138 Crying Luna

"Mr. Lovegood, can Dobby stay at your house?" Ethan asked Xenophilius Lovegood.

It was too much trouble for Dobby to go back and forth to Hogwarts and Luna's home every day, not to mention that the house elves at Hogwarts still couldn't tolerate him.

"Of course it's no problem, Luna can finally have a playmate." Mr. Lovegood said happily.

After that, he turned to Dobby and said, "Mr. Dobby, you are welcome to live in my house."

Dobby looked at Mr. Lovegood in disbelief, "Mr. Lovegood and Miss Luna are really good people!" Dobby cried in a tearful voice.

Then Dobby suddenly became energetic. "Dobby can do a lot of housework! Leave all the housework to Dobby! Dobby can do anything!" Dobby was eager to prove his worth.

"Dobby, you don't have to do anything, you just need to work with Luna," Mr. Lovegood said kindly.

Dobby was used to taking orders from others. After hearing Mr. Lovegood's words, he immediately went to work according to Mr. Lovegood's words.

Mr. Lovegood and Ethan felt hungry after watching Luna and Dobby make Gwent cards for a while.

"I'm going to prepare some food for you," Mr. Lovegood said. "The freshwater fish soup here is very delicious. I'm going to catch a few to make soup for everyone."

After saying that, Mr. Lovegood entered a small room, and the sound of jingling bells was immediately heard in the small room.

After a while, Mr. Lovegood came out of the small room dressed in a fisherman's costume. Mr. Lovegood dragged a large fishing net and excitedly planned to go into the water to fish.

"You guys will be able to drink Lovegood's secret fish soup in a while!" he said excitedly, "Luna's mother used to drink it one by one."

Speaking of Luna's mother, Mr. Lovegood seemed to be suddenly strangled by the neck, and what he was about to say stopped abruptly.

"I'm going to fish first." Mr. Lovegood seemed to suddenly become dull.

"Let Dobby help! Let Dobby help!" Hearing that there was work to do, he jumped up and down excitedly.

Mr. Lovegood couldn't stand Dobby's fuss, so he agreed to Dobby's request and took Dobby out.

Ethan glanced at Luna carefully, worried that Mr. Lovegood's words would bring back Luna's sad memories, but Luna was still drawing Gwent seriously, as if she didn't hear what she just said.

In order not to disturb Luna's work, Ethan observed around Luna's house. For a while, the only sound left in Luna's house was the ping-ping-pong-pong, click-click, click-click of the printing press.

Ethan walked to the window at the other end of the room. He saw a stream, like a thin shining ribbon lying at the bottom of the mountain in the distance. It was very high here, and a little bird flew by the window.

He saw Mr. Lovegood standing in the creek, struggling to open the net and throw it into the creek. Dobby was helping him pull the net.

Ethan turned away from the window and his eyes fell on another strange thing: a stone bust standing on a messy curved cabinet.

It was a beautiful but stern-faced witch. Ethan felt that this stone statue was somewhat similar to Luna, but Luna would never have a serious expression on her face.

The headdress she wore was extremely weird, with a pair of curved golden earpiece-like things sticking out from both sides.

A pair of sparkling blue little wings were stuck on the belt of the band on the head, and an orange radish was stuck on another band on the forehead.

Ethan observed the statue carefully, and suddenly Luna's voice sounded behind him. At some point, Luna was already standing behind Ethan.

"This is my dad's invention," Luna said in a sing-song voice.

Luna pointed to the earpiece-shaped thing, "This is the siphon of the harassing horse - it can exclude all surrounding areas that interfere with thinking."

Luna pointed to the small wings and said, "It's a spiritual light thruster, which can induce advanced thinking states."

Finally, she pointed to the orange radish, "It's an airship plum, which can improve the ability to accept abnormal things."

Ethan didn't know what to say. He didn't think these three inventions were of any use.

"Who is this, Luna?" Ethan asked, changing the subject and pointing at the stone statue.

"Dad said this is Rowena Ravenclaw" Luna's voice was a little low.

"Dad admired her very much. He always said that extraordinary intelligence is the greatest wealth of mankind. Dad even made a stone statue for Rowena Ravenclaw."

"But no matter how I look at it, I feel like this stone statue looks like my mother." Luna's voice sounded a little crying.

Ethan quickly turned around and was surprised to find that Luna was actually crying. Her eyes were red, and tears flowed out of her eyes in large drops and slid down her cheeks.

"I-I really miss her all the time." Luna said sobbing.

Ethan was a little surprised. In his impression, Luna had always been erratic and seemed to maintain such an indifferent attitude towards all matters. This was the first time that Ethan had seen Luna cry so sadly.

Ethan was a little at a loss. He was very bad at comforting people. He carefully took two steps towards Luna, organizing words in his mind to try to comfort Luna.

Unexpectedly, Luna hugged Ethan, buried her head in Ethan's chest, and started to cry.

Ethan stood as stiff as a piece of wood. If Ethan were asked to fight now, he would dare to rush forward with his sword in hand, but if he was asked to comfort the crying little witch, he really didn't know what to do.

He soon felt Luna's tears soaking his chest, and he tried hard to search for other people's experiences in this situation.

Then Ethan raised his hand and carefully touched Luna's little head with light golden hair.

It was better now, Luna's arms around Ethan's chest became tighter, and her crying became louder.

I don't know if Luna was too tight, and Ethan felt a little suffocated, but Ethan clearly remembered that he didn't feel like this when he was tightly held by a brown bear when he was fighting a brown bear before.

Suddenly, Ethan thought of the way Luna leaned on his arm that day by the black lake.

Thinking of this, Ethan hugged Luna gently. She could understand Luna's mood. It was not that she couldn't feel sadness. Her mother died in an accident in front of her eyes. She was sadder than anyone else.

But this sensible girl hid her sadness and instead comforted her heartbroken father. She was good at listening to the inner voices of others.

She knew better than anyone how painful grief was, so she did her best to comfort others, her father, Ginny, and Ethan.

But her own sadness has always been buried deep in her heart, and she finally vented it today.

After a while, Luna's crying gradually stopped, and she finally raised her face from Ethan's chest.

Her eyes were red and swollen from crying, and there were two strips of snot hanging under her small nose.

Luna sucked back the snot hard, and her mood calmed down. Now she saw a big wet piece on Ethan's chest, and she was a little embarrassed.
