A Fallen Knight-Lost art of Necromancy

Jane jumped on Severus with complete blood lust. 

Severus knew evading was futile thus he calmly closed his eyes and started chanting his spell. Soon a big blue bubble formed around him.

Jane who had jumped earlier crashed into the bubble but the bubble didn't break.

She again stood up and saw that bubble was gone but this time Severus was holding a black spear in his hand.

She laughed like a maniac.

"Do you think you can kill me with this spear? Don't kid with me, Severus"

It was obvious from her reaction that she was underestimating him.

Severus was expressionless. Without saying anything he walked and stood in front of Jane. "Fine, if you want to do it the hard way then we do it the hard way, Jane."

They both started fighting. 

One after another, both of them attacked and dodged but no one got a hit. Severus started panting and Jane was also running out of her power.

"Jane"

"What?"

"You are doing this for Gye?"

"Of course you fool"

"What if I tell you that both Shenna and Guy have left for the trip to heaven?"

Jane turned cold. 

"What did you say? It isn't possible. I have bound Shenna with my curse to a tree. No way it is possible."

"Alas. It is truth jane. I set Shenna free and I am sure she already would have found Gye till now. Even if you wipe his memories, you can't wipe his feelings for her. Sooner or later he would have followed her. Shenna is gone. Gye is gone. I can save you Jane but you need to believe in me"

With every word he spoke, Severus came close to her.

"I can save you. Realization is the biggest mercy. Jane has mercy on yourself and admits your crimes to heaven. I am sure they will forgive you."

Severus came close to her and lifted her up from the ground. Tears started running down from her cheeks as she hugged Severus. "Why must it be me? Why? Why did I never led a good life?"

"Severus? What did my mother do it? I was just a baby."

Jane cried her heart out inside his embrace. 

It was the first time Severus saw anyone who was evil crying like this. Perhaps remorse bottled inside someone turns into evilness. After Jane got to know the bitter reality, her evilness turned into remorse, and now all the pain that she had suffered was flowing through her tears.

Jane cried for a long time as Severus embraced her patted her. 

[At least she returned to her original self, Severus. Geez I can't see you embracing a skelton]

"...."

Severus was thankful he was the only one who could hear Noworry comments otherwise he feared for his life.

Jane calmed down and detached herself from his harm but still remained close to him.

"Severus, You are a good guy and I hope you never change"

Severus raised his beautiful brows when he heard the compliment.

"So you want me to remain a fool for my entire lifetime."

Jane chuckled when he herald him.

"You know what I mean Knight commander Severus." She giggled happily and Severus too laughed but within seconds the spear from his hands was snatched away as Jane pushed Severus.

When Severus looked up to meet Janes's eyes he saw that she was smiling however, her eyes were all teary, and dark black blood oozed from her mouth. 

Severus was petrified.

He saw straight. In front of him, Jane was standing in her complete youth as a spear was pierced through her stomach. Before she could fall to the ground, Severus immediately went forward and grabbed her.

"Jane. Why did you do this? I told you I could save you"

Jane who was slowly losing her conscious smiled when she herald him.

"I won't deny that I had happiness in my life Severus but the stay was too brief with me. I dare say and reveal this secret to you which I have never told to anyone. Not even Shenna. The truth was that I didn't love Gye because of his Charisma. I just loved him because of the way he behaved. The way he cared for me. He was the same as Shenna but was a boy. How can I not fall for a guy who showed love and care to me, Severus"

Cough Cough.

Jane coughed blood as she whispered her last words.

"Severus I just wanted to be loved..."

Just like this, she died.

Jane started crumbling inst fragments.

A gush of wind came and took the fragments of Jane away. Soon the barren land below the feet of Severus turned into lush green and various flowers stared blooming on it. 

Everything returned to peace.

[The winds are changing Severus] 

Noworry came back from the body of Severus following the same phenomena as it followed earlier. Severus started glowing blue and soon a blue ball came out from his body and went to the sky as if it was a gunshot. A few seconds later Noworry was there, perched on Severus' shoulder.

"You back"

[Yeah. Severus the winds are changing]

Severus quietly whispered, "Of course. I guess I need to unfold several drapes before I can reach the truth."

[Now, will you throw some light on the matter? How come to deduced everything?]

Severus laughed sardonically as he started going back to the path through which he came.

"Didn't I told you that I would be showing you my new skill?"

[Yea, you said so]

"You see, From the book that was given to me by that old monk had a new technique called Psychometry"

[What's psychometry?] 

"It's a skill thorough which I can read memories. I mean if I touch any object or living I can read their memories. All though I am not killed and it's all hazy for me but I will try to cultivate my skills so I can master it better"

[Impressive]

"Told ya"

[Now don't be smug and tell how did you manage to read Jane's memory]

" You still remember that after Desella came into existence the book spells and wills got vanished?"

[I do]

"The book was not only contained spells and Desella but it also had the life story of Jane's father Arus Cheya. I actually read it even before everything started happening. I told Desella that I have seen her past and even some extra which she is unaware of. I have seen her last moments when she was in a state of unconsciousness. Similarly, before meditating across the pond, I read the book completely."

[Do Desella knows about it?]

"She knows about the past that she hasn't seen but she isn't aware of Jane's story. Even though I have told her a little bit about Jane, I can't risk it more. No matter what, she is an existence that is a threat to mankind. I can't forget this at any cost, no matter how much humanly she behaves."

Noworry was strangely quiet this time as he smiled faintly.

[Humans themself are a threat to their existence.]

[Don't you think so Severus?]

"Well Humans are the ones to be feared, I believe"

[Of-course]

"Well back to the story. That day I read everything about Jane and her disease "

[Disease?]

"Yea"

"Aris had written in his autobiography that after Jane's mother uses her as a sacrifice something changed inside Jane. Her human heart was already corrupted due to a failed necromancy attempts and evils rooted deep inside her heart and brain. In short, she was turned into a devil's pawn. When Aris got to knew about her daughter's condition he tried his best to save her. He traveled around the continent to find a cure for her but he failed."

"What's done was done and failed to change it. Later to reduce the effect of black magic he sealed Jane's mother's memory and it turned her into a doll. She lived her entire life like that until..."

[Untill?]

"Until Jane killed her mother"

Severus shivered involuntarily when he remembered the scene." The same reason just like her mother used her, she sacrificed her mother to gain the devil's power"

This turn of events shocked Noworry. Not only was this cruel and inhuman but also can be considered as a feud. Feud of blood. All the talks about familial love, bond, and happiness felt like a joke to him. His hate towards humans only increased after witnessing it. 

[Even animals don't kill their kin]

'But we are humans Noworry" Severus said without a smile.

Severus gave him a side-eyed before continuing.

"Well Jane's killing her mother wasn't written in the book"

"After sealing Jane's mother's memories and giving a talisman to Jane for suppressing her evil powers he left in search for her cure. The talisman backfired Jane and because of that, she turned Myopic. We can say she turned blind. One day Aris came back home. It was the day before Jane's 16 birthday. That night he wrote everything about his life in the book and even wrote what he was going to do"

[Don't tell me there is more mystery?]

"Of course. How can it be so simple" Severus smirked?
