"Let's go"

"But where Severus?"

"Just follow me"

Desella was bewildered but nevertheless, she followed Severus. Soon she was led to an alley. It was a run-down place filled with beggars. Desella was horrified seeing them in such a dire state. 

"Out of all the places, why are we here, Severus?"

"...."

She was met with silence. Since then she stopped blabbering. Severus swiftly crossed the alley and knocked on the door of an old house. 

Knock!

Katachak!

The door opened. This time Severus didn't show any chivalry and directly pushed the door. A teenager fumbled because of force and hit the ground.

"Owww" he growled in pain.

"Severus"

"Severus"

They both shouted immediately.

"I am terribly sorry Shino. I didn't mean to harm you. Let's keep this short. Call your master I need to have a good talk with him"

Shino was stunned on the spot by Severus' behavior. "But..but he is sleeping right now"

"...."

"Isn't it a little early to go to bed?" Desella asked weakly.

"He is old so of course he needs to take extra sleep and care of his body"

"You damn brat. You dare call me old behind my back"

"Master" Shino's knees started shaking as soon as he saw him and he instantly kneeled on the ground.

The door opened in a flash and Severus saw the old man in his sleeping robe. It was obvious that he woke up after the commotion but he was far from care right now.

"Shino leave the room"

Shino was hesitant. He looked back and forth and when he couldn't endure it anymore he left the room.

Thud!

The door closed behind him.

The old man examined Desella with a cold stare.

"She is with me and you can trust her. I bet my life on her"

The old man was amazed. For a person like Severus to bet his life was a big deal. 

"Introduce us Severus" The old man barked.

"No need" Severus deadpanned.

"....."

"..."

Severus left no face for that old man.

Gui Song cursed under his breath for the humiliation but he understood that something grave must have happened for Severus to behave in this way.

"What happened lad? You don't look good"

Sorrow filled in Severus' eyes as he told everything about Noworry to him.

Shock, reluctance, and fear-filled in Gui Song's eyes. It was clear that he was reluctant to believe what Severus told him but after hearing Severus' detailed explanation, it became hard for him to not believe it.

"This is so strange. Never in our family history had ever something like this happened. It's bizarre"

"I don't care whether it's bizarre or not. The only thing I care about is to do something for Noworry. Think something. There should be a reason for it. You must have forgotten something. Just try remembering it."

The old man tried his hardest to think of something but nothing strictly remembered. 

Disappointedly he shook his head.

"I see"

"If you haven't misjudged then I guess Glen's explanation suits best for this situation"

"Pardon" The old man didn't hear it clearly since Severus mumbled everything.

"It's nothing. However, I came here to inform you that my stay here had been reduced. I need to go back as soon as possible, so we need to hurry up with our plan. I am betting on you to create chances for us to help you otherwise, I am afraid I can't help you"

Gui Song's face turned pale when he heard Severus' statement. It was as if he was pressed under a massive weight. Even breathing became hard for him.

Thud!

He went weak on his knees as he hit the floor.

"Old man"

"Sir"

Desella and Severus quickly went forwards to help him. 

The old man was tightly clutching his chest. He allowed Desella and Severus to help him. They both made him sit on the ground comfortably with a cushion. 

"What happened to you Gui Song?"

A wry smile hung on Gui Song's face. " I think I know the cause why your pet became unconscious"

Desella and Severus stiffened instantly however they didn't persuade him to continue. 

Despite having fits of cough the old man tried his best to explain everything. "Actually I was aware of my brother's hatred for a very long time. I knew he hated me, hated me from the core of his heart. However, I was too easy on him. I always treated him as my brother and never wished for lordship but because I was the firstborn, according to the rule I was the successor after father. Shui was always jealous of me. I was an outstanding kid but when I got to know that my little brother is upset because of my glory, I did everything I could so he won't feel upset. I stopped studying and intentionally skipped classes and did badly in martial arts practice. It wasn't that I was lazy, it was just that I wanted Shui to be happy. One thing led to another and after a period of time, I was branded as a Useless son of the lord. I won't lie. I was stung by the words but because of brotherhood, I ignored everything. I thought if Shui is happy then it's enough for me but I was wrong. Terribly wrong."

The old man's eyes turned watery at this point.

"It's futile. A relationship should always be two ways or else the person who is on the giving side will be burned completely into nothingness without even an ounce of recognition. I was a fool to believe in brotherhood. Shui wasn't innocent but a deceiver. He deceived me my entire life however I still let him go. After all, he was my little brother. He became a lord and everything was given to him on a gold plate but I misjudged him. He was an extremely paranoid person. One day after I came back from one of my missions he asked me for a drink. I was happy to know that my little brother was going to have a drink with me. I readily agreed to it. That night was indeed a good night. We talked for so long. You could say it was a heart to heart talk. After so many years it was a blessing for me to spend such a joyous night with Shui."

"I still remember that it was the middle of the night. There was a full moon that was shining exceptionally that day. It was a beautiful night. I was all high and happy when suddenly pain hit me. My heartfelt so contracted and my breathing stagnated for a short time. I lost all my strength and looked up for Shui to pick me up from the ground as I fell on the floor because of pain. Even after waiting for a minute, I saw no moments from Shui. I was bewildered and quickly looked up and met with an indifferent gaze. To be honest the pain in my chest was nothing compared to the pain that I felt that day because of that indifferent gaze. No matter, how much pain I was in or how much blood I coughed that day Shui didn't budget. He saw everything. He saw me rolling on the floor because of pain but didn't help me."

Desella had tears swelled in her eyes whereas Severus too had complex emotions on his face.

"He told me that he cursed me that day using the family heirloom. It never occurred to me but since your pet is unconscious I bet it is doing Shui Song. He very easily gave me the family heirloom because he already placed a curse on it."

Terror was the only emotion Gui Song felt right now.

His own brother cursed him to no end. 

Now everything made sense.

All his strategy and plotting went in the drain because of this curse. Since Noworry took the pearl he was afflicted with the curse too. No wonder he felt unconscious.

"Damnit Noworry is cursed again" Severus hollered.

"Cam down Severus. Glen said it's not harmful"

"But it will leave it's after-effects. I don't dare imagine the consequences for Desella. I need to fight that old bastard and ask him about his curse."

"Our family heirloom curse is very strong Severus. There is a proper ritual to break the curse and that is too cruel. It's the very reason our ancestors never used the curses because altering a curse meant bloodshed. Since a member of the Song family curses, that means only a member of the Song family can alter the curse. To make the matter worse, It was Shui Song who cursed, the direct descendant from the ancestral line. I am really afraid of how much blood will spill because of it. Even if I sacrifice my entire blood as a direct descendant from the ancestral line, I dare to say that it won't' suffice but then we would never know if we don't try. I will help you with anything Severus. I just need a promise from you in exchange"

"What?" It was Desella who asked the question.

"You need to marry Melanie, the Song family daughter"
