Severus' breath hitched whereas Desella stiffened.

Severus gaze sharpened as coldly stare at the old man. "How are you related to Desella?"

"What rubbish are you speaking Severus. Desella is his niece according to family relations. Why asking such a dumb question?"

Although Desella was certainly hurt she still tried reason everything.

Ha!

A cold chuckled escaped through Severus lips.

"You think so Desella huh?"

"What do you mean Severus?"

"I can understand his sympathy towards Shui Song as his brother but what obligations do, he has towards Melanie. Isn't asking me to marry her is going a bit overboard. Don't you think so?"

Alarms started ringing inside Desella's head. She looked at the old man through her sultry eyes however her beautiful eyes only held doubts a danger inside it.

She quickly turned and spin around him. With one hand she stole Severus sword and grabbed the old man's neck and pointed it toward his neck. "Tell? What is your relationship with him?"

The old man looked pleadingly towards Severus however he just turned his face away. It was a clear indication that if he didn't spill his beans today then he was not going to help him.

Gui Song felt helpless and powerless. He contemplated for some time. He saw no hope to survive this trial and thus he surrendered to fate. With a hopeless smile on his face, he told his deepest and darkest sin he committed. How can a person remain without any taint of darkness? Human nature by default is made up of darkness. It is the environment and up-gradation of one mind that make us suitable to live in a society without any fear of another human. "A long time ago when we both were young and agile lads; we shared an unbreakable brotherhood bond. Everything was good until that woman came into our life. She was just like the moon. Beautiful and calm. Her beauty was unparalleled. It was normal for the young boys to fell in love with her. She was a slayer you could say. She captured many hearts in our Hui Island and two of them belonged to Shui Song and Gui Song."

Desella gasped in shock whereas Severus just snickered.

"You can't really blame me. I was young and reckless. Although I was a righteous person, but I always lost my senses when I was with her. She was the daughter of father's deceased friend. Since father shared a good relationship with Genessa father. After Genessa parents were killed she was taken under our father's wings. We three spent a lot of them together. Shui was never a chatty boy neither I was but whenever she was present, we both would try to say something. Years after years father's health deterioted and soon Lordship fell in the hands of Shui Song. I was contended with it since Shui got what he always wanted. For me, the thing which I wanted and was dear to me, more than my life was Genessa. I was in love with that woman. All I ever truly wanted was to settle with her, but fate is a cruel thing. I was sent to a mission by Shui. It was a hard mission and deathly too. I nearly survived that mission for only one person that was Genessa. I loved her to the point that I did not die in the hands of monster. She was my will to live. However, after I returned back from my mission I was officially introduced to my Sis-in-law."

"Isn't it comical that my lil brother Shui, the lord of Hui Island got married in a haste and that too without the presence of his only brother."

"Ha!"

"Behind my back he married Genessa forcefully. He was aware that Genessa and I were in love, but he still married her anyway and the excuse I was given was the lamest excuse I ever heard in my life"

Severus looked at him keenly to observe whether Gui Song was speaking truth or no. His teary eyes explained everything.

He is saying truth.

"He told me that it was Genessa's parent's dying wish to let her marry one of Song member. Since father was bedridden and suddenly his health deteriorated to a dangerous extent, so he forced Shui to marry Genessa. Although Genessa could deny this marriage but she did not do it because she was under the favors of our father. Never in her entire life had she ever disobeyed him so how could she had a heart to disobey him on his death bed so just like this they two got married. When I got to know about it, I was heartbroken. I was mad with anger and rage. I drink day and night nonstop. I totally became like a maniac. I tried talking to Genessa and even asked her to divorce Shui but how could she do such a thing. She told me that it will leave a bad impression of Shui as a lord. MO over may this was the fate, and he should accept it just like she did."

The old man looked at Severus with a rage that could not be concealed.

"She said it so easily that we should accept the fate but what about me? She was my fate which now belonged to anyone else. I do not care whether it was my real brother or anyone else. I was angered to no extent. In anger and drunken state, I committed a grave mistake. In a fit of anger, I chugged a lot of liquor and went to the chamber of Genessa. There things happened between us."

"You forced her. Say your facts right old man". Desella sharply pointed out as she was disgusted with him.

"Well….it was a mistake. I do not know whether Shui knows about it or not. After this incident Melanie was conceived. I instantly recognized her. How can I not? A father cab easily recognizes her daughter. She had same smile as her mother. She was just a mini replica of Genessa. Alas, I was soon drugged and thrown into pits of gutter of Hui Island by Shui. Thus, I never saw her again, but she sure would have turned into a beautiful girl like her mother"

"Aren't you asking too much from me Gui Song. First you want me to help you win your lordship and then also want me to marry your daughter. Are you kidding me?"

"And what I am gaining in return? A lousy pearl that harmed my bird. I swear if not for reversing the curse I would have slit your old neck"

"Bastard"

The old man looked down in shame.

There were no words to explain his mistakes.

"Tell me what I should do and how should I enter the castle of lord?"

With a dispirited expression Gui Song continued." Tomorrow is a full moon night. It is believing in our Song family that the person in the power would be most powerful in a full moon's night. If legends are true, then tomorrow Shui Song would be the most powerful person in our entire Hui Island. If you want blood, then tomorrow night is the best night. As for invading the castle. My people would assist you in it. However, after you enter the castle it's all on you."

"Shameless" Desella mocked him.

"Desella let go his collar"

Instantly Desella left his color and quietly stood beside Severus.

"We are leaving. Tell your people to meet me tomorrow at 7. I will finish his thing tomorrow night. I can't delay it more"

"Sure, I will prepare"

Severus left in haste while Desella followed him on his toes.

As Severus left in haste Shino who was standing outside was shocked.

"You are leaving?"

Neither Severus nor Desella answered him. Like a wind they disappeared

"You have become gutsy huh?"

Desella was perplexed, "What do you mean?"

Severus smiled. "My lady please pass me my sword"

"…"

Desella flinched in embarrassment. She quickly left returned his sword back to him.

Severus smiled as he accepted it back.

"Severus why are we helping such a lousy person like him?"

"You mean Gui Song?"

"Who else than. I can't believe we are helping such a bastard"

Severus breathed in. "Desella I agree that what he did was wrong, but we can't judge a person from his single mistake. Although this does not mean that we should ignore it but not considering it would also be not a right thing to do. You just can't ignore whatever he did for the under-privilege section of society. It's undeniable that what he did is a good dead. I think we should help him getting back his lordship. It's not for his benefit but it's for the benefit of the mankind. You have seen the poverty of Hui Island with your own eyes. The entire royalty is corrupted."

"Still Severus"

"Stop whining Desella. He had received enough of his punishments for his sins."

Desella sighed as she gave in to Severus explanations.
