As the lord finished his words, soft music started playing. A lot of beautiful women surrounded the floor wearing skimpy dresses as they moved their hips on the song. The young men their stared at the mature dancers whereas the woman's face turned ugly. They took delight whenever any man misbehaved with them. Well, it was a patriarchal society and from everyone's expression, it looked like a common scenario.

Severus who was sitting in the shadow signaled Dosela. As soon as she saw it, she merged in the shadows and went inside the castle.

Later the music stopped playing and soon it was the commencement of the royal dance. Selena grabbed Lord's hand as they both danced. The shared a brief dance and after one round the lord and she stopped dancing as they stood at the center of stage.

A huge round of applaud erupted as they stopped dancing and people started whispering about Selena.

She looks beautiful.

Her hairs are inky black and seems so soft. I wish I were blessed with them.

As Shui Song finished his words, several young men faced brighten up. Interested ones raised their hands in air for recognition however Selena did not like any. For her, they all looked the same. Fair and roguish animals in the facade of nobility.

Time passed slowly and Selena did not made any gesture. Soon the atmosphere turned embarrassing as several man backed off in fear of embarrassment. Some resigned to their fate whereas some shameless and dedicated ones continued raising their hand.

Voices of shoes striking the glass floor resounded in the hall. From an isolated corner a handsome man came forward from the shadows. He was an ethereal beauty. All the woman's present there was pleasantly shocked with his beauty.

It was Severus in disguise.

To be honest Severus was a man who was born handsome. It will not be an exaggeration to say that he was a finely craft masterpiece. With his killer looks he carried a sophisticated and soft aura however he was an intimidating man. His build was not something that any man weak man could have. To get a body like Severus one need to train in blood and experience several life and death trials. Anyone with experience could tell that he was someone not to be trifled with.

As he came closer, he bowed.

"Is the second lady of the Song family interested to have a dance with me?" He asked softly.

His voice was like a magic for everyone there. All the fairer sex of society turned jealous of Selena's luck. To get of attention of someone as handsome as Severus was once in a lifetime opportunity. As they all were scolding Selena inside their hearts, every man presents there was gazing at Severus with ferocity.

Selena was mesmerized by the beauty of Severus. On the other hand, Shui Song felt a tinge of threat from Severus, but it was for a brief time. He neglected his senses as today was also the full moon night. He was naturally the strongest among the entire Hui Island and today's night was a special night. He didn't think too much about it. In full honesty he was impressed by the charisma of Severus.

"May I know your name, sir?" Shui Song asked happily.

"Its' Severus, your majesty" He gave a slight bow.

Shui Song saw the excitement on her daughter's face and finally let her go.

"Since it's a party of youngsters then I should take leave and let you all alone to enjoy. Everyone please enjoy and have a great night" He left after short greetings. Indeed, the celebration was a happening. As the lord left the hall the pressure reduced inside the hall and everyone started chilling.

Severus offered his hand and Selena grabbed it shyly. Soon soft music started playing and everyone started pairing for a dance. The celebration was just starting, and everyone seemed to enjoy it. As Severus was dancing, he observed that Selena was starting to get tired. He closed in to her and whispered "It's too stuffy here. Let us go outside for a breather"

Selena blushed when she saw how close they were. Severus manly fragrances assaulted her, and she dazedly agreed. Like a flower Severus gently grabbed her and lead her outside to the balcony.

"Ufff. Finally, it's peace here"

The balcony was spacious with several beautiful flower's pots. The flowers inside them were blooming beautifully tonight and looked fragrant. Severus went ahead and plucked a small blue colored rose.

"Here, this flower is for you. Accept it my dear majesty" Severus said humbly.

Selena flustered as the first love blossomed inside her heart. "Aha…thanks for the flowers Mr. Severus"

Severus just smiled in response. He noticed that it was chilly outside thus he offered his coat to her, but Selena declined as it would not be appropriate behavior to conduct.

"So, may I know more about you Mr. Severus?" She asked hesitatingly.

Severus leaned on the railing of the balcony as he gazed at the full moon. His voice which was sensual and seemed to have magic reverberated in the air. "Miss, I am just a loner who wants to explore various possibilities of this world"

Silent music started playing inside Selena's ear. She was totally lost in the charisma of Severus and thus failed to sense the impeding danger. As she was daydreaming Severus pulled Selena and crouched on the ground to evade a fire blow.

Hurried footsteps echoed in the air and several people came in vision. They all were wearing white gowns with a bowl engraved on it.

Severus was speechless when he saw the atrocious design on the white gown.

Selena flinched in danger as she came close to Severus and held his hands tightly." What is this? Someone actually managed to infiltrate the castle"

"Don't worry second lady of Song family. I will protect you until end"

Tears welled inside her eyes and she softly whispered. "You could call me Selena"

"Selena it is then". Severus said.

Severus protected her from the enemy and soon they reached inside the main hall however the scene inside the hall was far more devastating.

The lord Shui Song was in a fighting stance whereas the rest of the soldiers were fighting with the invaders. Some of the nobles joined the fighting whereas some of them fled. Women were hiding somewhere and in total it was chaos.

"Father" Selena shouted.

"Selena flee from here and find a safe place for yourself" Shui Song shouted. It was obvious that he was worried about her.

An old man came forward from the shadows wearing the same uniform while clapping his hands

"My, my, what a fatherly love? However, I am afraid no one can leave after I have entered"

Everyone presents there shuddered as a deathly aura surrounded them. Even Shui Song stiffened when he heard that voice but soon, he calmed his nerves.

It is impossible.

I am hallucinating definately it's a hallucination. That beggar can never infiltrate my castle and that too in such a grand manner.

Shui Song was full of questions. He did not know who they were or what was their motive. This was a through sneak attack.

"You the one in the mask. State your motive. I cannot believe that you are only here to create havoc or seize me. If so, then let all the innocent ones leave and we can fight one on one." Shui Song finally exploded.

The old man snorted as he glared at him. "Let them leave?"

"You have the audacity to question me? Fine. They all will become witnesses of your sins as you will willingly confess them. I will let them all see the real face of their lord "

He wanted to say something more but soon more people entered the premises. All the royal members of the court entered. "Your majesty! What is happening here? How come a simple celebration converted into a battlezone?"

"Does it look like I have any idea? What I am even paying you for if you can't handle such stuff?" The lord unleashed his anger on the court members.

Soon an intense fight started. It was a full-fledge war of hands. The soldiers were all beaten blue and black by the invaders and even the court officials were no match for them. The only ones who managed to survive were Lord Shui Song and Selena Song that too because she was under Severus' protection.
