Severus smiled as he nodded his head. "Of course, I will. After I find out a way to help you, I will immediately come back to you. I promise. However, I do have a task for you too."

Desella was intrigued. She needed something to distract herself or else she would again burn from loneliness. With hope and curiosity in her eyes, she gazed at Severus. "What?" She softly asked.

"You remember about Ophelius?"

Desella nodded her head in response however her expression turned uneasy.

"I want you to gather information about ophelius. What is it? What is its origin? Is it real or folklore? Most importantly you need to find out about Nesseyes. Whatever you can find out about that ancient language. I have already entrusted Vlass to decompose everything about necromancy. Before discarding anything, he would consult you. You would be the one who will be responsible for what should be erased and what not to. I guess you know what I mean" Severus passed a sly smile at Desella.

She smiled radiantly to his surprise. "Of course,"

How could she not?

After spending her days with Severus, she got to know that this man was a profiteer. He wouldn't let go even the slightest of profit. By entrusting Vlass with the work he had entrusted all the responsibility to him however here, Desella was the one who was in power. But for everyone else, she was just a mere slave of Severus. Everybody will ignore her except Vlass. Desella will keep the important things hidden while discarding everything that was of no use for Severus as well as humanity.

It was a clever move.

Silence!

A long silence!

Silence prevailed between them.

"I think you should go" To Severus' surprise Desella backed off and asked him to leave.

She smiled when she saw his shocked expression. "Don't give me that expression or else I won't let you go" She threatened him.

Severus scratched his head in embarrassment. "Okay then. Take care"

He ruffled Desella hairs and hopped on his horse as he left the Riviera.

Desella stood there for a long time even after Severus' silhouette vanished into the morning mist.

Tip-Tap!

Tears flowed from her eyes. It was hard for her but for Severus' sake, she would endure it. If he had entrusted her with something, then she better not disappoint him. With this thought, she went back inside the castle.

Selena fidgeted with her fingers on the dining table. Everyone who was present at the dining table gave odd glares to her. Finally, it was Vlass who chided her as he couldn't withstand the massacre of food which was present on her plate.

"What the hell happened with you? Creating a fuss early morning on the dining table"

"…"

Selena grunted in response.

"What happened Selena?" It was Gui Song who asked this time but in a much gentler tone.

Selena was nothing like her parents. This kid was innocent as well as bubbly. The exact type of child that Gui Song loved. Not even once she blamed him for killing her parents instead, she gave him all the respect as her elder. In a short time, they both bonded and were now inoperable. To him, he was blessed with a bubbly daughter whereas to her. She got a lovely father. Selena was really happy to receive the care and parental love from Gui Song which she never got from her own father.

She was aware that he always protected her and not once discriminated against her.

Some time ago, a group of people from his clan opposed Selena's living inside the main palace as she was the culprit's daughter, but it was Gui Song who firmly opposed them all. He even said that Selena was his brother's daughter and since Shui Song was no more than he is the one who is responsible for Selena. If she ever misbehaved that it wouldn't be her who would be shamed but Gui Song. In front of everyone, he swore her as his own daughter and afterward treated her like his own daughter too.

Finally, they both got what they missed.

Since she was so attached to Gui Song, she didn't ignore him like she ignored Vlass.

With a sad face, she sniffled. "I didn't get to say goodbye to brother Severus. I don't know when the next time will be when I will get to meet him. I am sad. He shouldn't have left so early."

"…"

"There-there Selena. Severus must have some important work or else he would have bid you a proper goodbye" Gui Song tried to cheer Selena up.

The fork slipped from Desella's hand.

Everyone looked at her when the sound echoed.

Desella felt uncomfortable with the stars.

"What?" She couldn't stand being stared by so many so questioned it out.

Vlass just dropped his head down as he continued eating his food without saying anything. Gui Song too dodged her question, but Selena didn't.

With a piercing gaze, she eyed Desella. "Did by any chance you bid brother Severus goodbye?" She fiercely questioned.

"…."

Does it matter?

What if he did? What can Selena do?

Desella really wanted to say yes and slap the shit out of that snotty Selena but she controlled her inner urge. With a poker face, she denied it straightforwardly.

"No. It was pretty early when he left so I didn't get to bid him farewell."

Selena still stared at Desella.

After not able to gain anything from her expression Selena went on to munch on her food. With a delightful expression, she remarked. "Good or I would have sulked for a long time if any other girl except me had bid him goodbye."

"Don't say things like that Selena" Gui Song warned him.

He was aware of the not-so-simple relationship between Servers and Desella.

Selena felt wrong. "Why father"

She naturally called him out as father.

Gui Song's heart melted when he heard father from her mouth. "Why would you say that Selena?"

Huh?

"Why would I?"

"What kind of stupid question is that father? Of course, I will since I love him and will marry him in the future"

COUGH COUGH!

Vlass choked on his food.

One of the servants immediately handed him a glass of water.

Vlass really had a long fit and after gulping several glasses of water he returned to normal. It was shocking to him how brazenly Selena confessed.

Desella's expressions turned black as her hand turned into a fist. She fiercely slammed them on the dining table.

"What did you say?"

"Are you deaf? Didn't you hear what I said earlier? I love brother Severus and would marry him in the future, so I have the right to worry about him and be sad for him" Selena said as a matter of fact.

HAHAHA!

Desella laughed coldly.

"Just who do you think you are?"

"Selena of course…"

Just how dumb can you be Selena?

Vlass internally cried.

What a pain!!!!

"Just because you like him doesn't mean that you have any rights on Severus. Who do you think he is? He is the sole heir of necromancy from the Rivera kingdom. Inheritor of the special bloodline. You are nothing compared to him so don't get ahead of yourself." She berated Selena harshly.

Anger got the worse of Selena. She was too outraged after being lashed out early in the morning.

"Fine, I admit I am no match for him but then again what rights do you have to lecture me like this? If I don't have any rights over him then how come you have the authority to lash me out like this? Who do you think YOU ARE? What status do you have? What origin do you have? What rights do you have?"

Selena stood up from her chair and closed into Desella. She bowed a little until she was glaring straight in her eyes and slammed her palm on the table. "You are nothing but his slave. Remember it. I agree with you that brother Severus is an amazing person so what makes you think you are good for him?"

Selena poked where it hurts the most.

Desella was shocked when she was exposed in front of everyone. Well, it wasn't like no one was aware, but everyone turned blind eye to it. Since Severus hasn't made anything official so everyone didn't comment on their relationship but now Severus was not here.

"Don't be all shocked Desella. It's all written on your face. You miss him, dearly miss him even though it has been just a few hours since he left. Well, I don't blame you after all brother Severus is such a charming person. Every girl would fall for him. His charms are off charts so don't feel bad for falling for him. You are just another fish in a large ocean. However, as you suggested, I would advise you to reflect on your own little piece of advice that you just gave me. "

"Don't get ahead of yourself Desella. What makes you think you are good for him?"

Selena smirked as she insulted Desella openly.

Selena didn't wait for an answer and stomped her foot as she left the dining table.
