Inside the chamber of the crown prince.

Knock! Knock!

Crown prince frowned when he heard a knock on his door. No one had ever disturbed him so late, not even when there was some emergency going inside the palace. He wondered what was so important that they need to disturb him at this hour.

"Enter"

"Apologies for inconvenience crown prince but something major happened"

Maverick eyebrows creased when he hard that something major happened.

"Speak"

"Crown prince, the main palace is been attacked by a large blackbird. NO, NO it isn't a bird but a monster crown prince. It is squeaking and spitting fire from its mouth. The entire A wing of the main palace is burnt down by it"

"Are you all fools! Why did no one come and told me earlier?"

"Apologies crown prince but the king has ordered us not to bother you unless the situation becomes dire. Alas!"

Maverick quickly went inside the changing room and swiftly came out with his robes as he marched outside.

"What's the situations?"

Everyone halted what they were doing when they heard the crown prince voice.

"Greeting crown prince"

Maverick raised his hand in acknowledging everyone's greeting.

"General Silas, brief me about this bird."

General Silas, who was a 40-year-old man quickly bowed in front of the crown prince as he reported what he had to.

"Crown prince no one knows why this monstrous bird is attacking us. It's only been 15 min and since we started fighting with it but in those 15 mins, this beast burnt the entire A wing of the main palace. Everything there is turned into ashes. I haven't calculated about the casualties but they are bound to be in big numbers. We tried killing this bird with our poisonous arrow but nothing seems to work on it"

He again bowed respectfully and stood up.

Shock flashed in Maverick eyes when he heard the reports from his subordinates. 

As a crown prince, he had seen various types of the beast and even fought with some but this type of beast was hard to come across. He never in his life imagined witnessing a heavenly grade beast. 

"Is it HEavenly grade beast?"

"Maybe higher then heavenly beast?"

"Dammit, I can't even identify his character level. It will be too hard to fight head-on"

Maverick squealed in delight.

Finally, he saw a heavenly bird or probably of higher level. He was delighted to see it and took out his sword to fight with it.

"Crown prince are you going to fight with that bird" General Silas questioned with hopes in his eyes.

In their empire, the most powerful being were only three men. King Marquis, crown prince Maverick and ex-general and knight commander Severus. However, after secret assassination of Severus three were only two people left and both of them were royals. In the adverse situations, royals usually don't go in a fight because of their status as their life was considered important as a ruler thus it was the soldiers who were always sacrificed. 

Everyone rejoiced when they heard what Maverick said.

"No!"

A high pitched voice strongly refuted.

Who else it can be if not his fiancee Melanie.

She was standing outside with her night robes however she was securely covered and didn't look indecent but still it annoyed Maverick seeing her like this.

"What are you doing outside? Didn't your personal guards told you about shifting to B wing?" He asked. However, his undertone had a hint of anger and reapproach.

Desella keenly observed his tone but she was far from care. 

"No. How can I wait inside when I know you are fighting here with your life on risk"

"During fight, everyone's life is at risk only so no need to fear. You can go back and be safe inside. "

However, no matter how much Crown prince persuaded her, she didn't budge.

At the last, Maverick sighed and gave in.

"General Silas."

"Yes Crown prince"

"Protect her no matter what. I don't want to see even a scratch on her body otherwise you are better dead than alive. See to it."

General Silas shivered when he was given such a risky opportunity. If he could, he would have gone to fight with that beast then to protect miss Song."

"Yes, Crown prince. You can be assured"

Maverick gave a sidelong glance to her and then moved away.

"Prepare 100 of soldiers with the bows and arrow and ask them to lit the front of the arrow and aim it toward that bird Mr Elv"

"Yes crown prince"

Mr Elv was the vice general of the Rivera empire and the next in line to become general. He swiftly prepared everyone accordion to Crown prince orders"

"On the count of three, shoot the arrows"

"1"

"Shoot"

Maverick ordered them.

Hundred of arrows burning with fire were aimed toward Noworry, however, nothing happened to him, even after he got hit by arrows. The burning arrows were futile. They didn't even scratch him, let alone burning. Not even an inch of hair of his was burned. It was as if he was fireproof.

This move irritated Noworry.

He was already frustrated over the lost connection with Severus and here these people were irritating him, to the core. He was restraining himself for the sake of Severus otherwise he would have blown them all with his breath.

Maverick observed the situation and his expressions turned dark.

With no choice in his hands, he took out his sword and charged toward the bird.

"Crown prince"

"Crown prince"

Everyone called for him but he didn't reply nor turned his back and without any further delay went ahead to fight one and one.

Noworry saw Maverick charging toward him as he smiled in disdain.

"Lowly creatures"

"Do you all really think, you can kill me? A bunch of hallucinators"

Noworry too charged himself towards Maverick.

Witnessing that the beastly bird was charging toward their crown prince, Me Elv decided to help their prince out. He gave instant orders to shoot arrows toward the bird.

"Soldiers aim the enemy. Even if we can't defeat him at the least we can divert his mind so his movements can be slowed down. We need to create opportunities for our Crown prince"

"Gear up and get charged"

"Shoot"

"Aim"

"Yeyyyy"

On the ground of the main palace, several orders were shouted. The situation was turning chaotic with every passing second but there was no sign of their King Marquis. They wondered whether he was afraid or planning something great. 

Of course, the foolish ones believed the latter option. 

Maverick easily dodged Noworry's fires and swiftly attacked using his daggers.

Noworry expected no less from Maverick. Noworry was aware about Severus strength so it was not a wonder to him that Maverick was a skilful guy. Severus once told him that they both practised together and learned almost everything together.

"Swift guy but not more than Severus"

Noworry roared and flapped his wings.

A gust of strong wing came out from his wings which almost flew away everything. It was like big storm creating winds and havoc everywhere. Maverick noticed that not only this beast was powerful but he was magical too. Greed falshed in his eyes.

Maverick threw his daggers toward Noworry but this time nowaorry failed to dodge as he was busy entertaining the minios of Maverick. 

"Dammit, cheater crown prince"

Noworry sulked.

Maverick saw the dagger aimed at the bird accurately however the problem still remained. The beast was still flying in the air. As long as he was in the air, attacking him was useless. He had a vast sky to dodge but they didn't have a vast land to aim. 

Maverick quickly understood the situation. In an instant, something flashed in Maverick eye. It was so fast that no one noticed, not even Noworry except a certain someone.

Severus saw what flashed in his eyes and his whole body turned cold. He was more than experienced to know what that expression of Maverick went. Severus started running as quickly as he can without bothering about anything.

Desella too ran with him.

"Severus, what happened? Why are you running? Tell me at least. Are we in a problem? What happened?"

She posed several questions but he didn't answer and ran quietly.

Desella keenly noticed that his whole body was shivering. His hands which were tightly clenched in fist were trembling as well as his walk was unstable. It was as if he was running from death. Desella felt fear grip in her heart. She grabbed Severus sleeve in fear.

Severus noticed that something was tugging his sleeve and he broke out from his trance. Earlier when he noticed Maverick expression he was chilled, chilled to the core. He knew that he can't be late or else it was going to cost Noworry his life. He can't lose anyone. Not any more so he ran fast as he can forgetting about Desella but now. She was tugging his sleeve.

Severus slowly untangled himself from Desella.
