A Fallen Knight-Lost art of Necromancy

He grabbed her hands which were surprisingly cold but he didn't notice it. 

"Desella, hide and don't you dare show yourself in front of them. Don't come outside unless I call for you. Okay?"

"Severus I won't but at least tell me what happened?" She asked in distress.

He noticed his distress but he was also short on time.

"Even if I tell, I am afraid there is nothing you can help me with it. The best help from your side would be to not show yourself to the enemy. I can't protect both of you simultaneously. I feel shame to say, but I am powerless, so Desella just hide"

With this, he left her there alone and marched towards the main entrance.

Desella observed his fading footsteps and her heart turned hollow but this was the wife that she chose for herself. She can't blame anyone not even Severus. She will never be fortunate. She noticed that this wasn't the time for being depressed and self-pity thus she collected herself. She stealthily broke inside someone's room and hid there.

Main place battleground.

The Rivera Kingdom.

Severus ran as fast as he can. He was already dog tired with the fight of Tishn however heavens didn't bless mercy upon him. When Severus reached there he was stupified in horror because of the scene in front of him. The situation he was fearing was unfolding in front of him. There he saw a big black bird was clutching Maverick from one of his claws while they were face to face.

Noworry was looking like a proud peacock who was holding an earthworm for his meal, however, Severus knew very well that Maverick wasn't an earthworm but a snake. An extremely poisonous snake who can bit back the proud bird anytime.

Alas! Severus deduction was correct. He keenly observed the tiny dagger hidden inside Maverick sleeves. No one except King and himself knew about that dagger. It was the sharpest dagger ever made in the history of Rivera kingdom. The dagger wasn't a simple sharp dagger but it was also magical. It was rumoured that head of Onyx specially made this for Crown prince as his safety weapon however numerous times, Maverick has used this dagger to hunt the magical and powerful beast. 

Severus was sure that Noworry would suffer gravel if he got hit with that sword as his powers were at the brim. The last visit to chamber of secrets left him gravely ill and he still hasn't found a cure for him.

All these made Severus trapped in guilt. He panicked, it was becoming a dead end. For saving Noworry he needs to show himself to the world however, he wasn't prepared for it. He was in extreme distress. On one side it was Noworry's life whereas on another side it was his revenge. It was obvious that he wouldn't let Noworry die however that will surely complicate his things, as well as his plans, need to be preponed.

"I guess I don't have any other options left."

Severus came out from his hiding and marched towards the centre of the ground and stood there.

Everyone present there were flabbergasted when the saw a man marching towards the beast. 

A man in a fully black outfit with a red cross on his neck stood at the centre oh ground. Everyone stared at him awe. It was Severus charm that he can awe people in distress too. His white hairs and black eyes stood him up from the rest. He looked like a lost prince. Severus didn't notice peoples reactions even if he had, he wouldn't have cared about it. He closed his eye and focused on magic. Within seconds a black spear emerged in his hands. 

Maverick and Noworry were in their own world. They didn't notice Severus presence and continued fighting.

The blackbird was constantly howling and spitting fire towards a man, however, the man dodged every attack. His agility was top notch however he was starting to perspire.

"Damn I can't go on like this. This monster is surely powerful and manages to defy my every attack."

With this said, Maverick swiftly took out his tiny dagger and stood in front of the bird. With his long legs, he quickly dodged his attack and threw his dagger towards the bird. As soon as he threw the dagger, he quickly kneeled down and created a rune on the ground. 

In instant blue waves emerged from the ground and formed a shield around the blackbird. 

Noworry was trapped inside a blue ball which was transparent. It almost looked like a soap bubble but was impenetrable. Noworry flapped his wings and tried breaking free from the bubble but to no avail. He cursed under his breath when he saw a tiny shiny dagger coming toward him.

"Fuck!"

"This bastard!"

Noworry closed his eyes in helplessness. There was nothing more he could do this to avoid it. He knew that if he gets injured right now, he will surely feel fatal after effects. Even after acknowledging his strength, he claimed, he can only be alive but not fully. The damages that will take place will be incurable.

Maverick smiled evilly. He actually felt good when he saw noworry struggling inside that bubble.

Everyone rejoiced when they saw Noworry trapped there and a flying dagger coming towards him. 

Only Severus expressions paled and swiftly he aimed his spear towards the dagger and threw it in the air, with his full force.

He just can't let noworry be hurt. Not even a scratch was acceptable.

Bang!

A solid sound of metal clashing resounded on the battleground which shook everyone. It was like a metallic roar of a beast and the black spear collided with the dagger creating an enormous amount of light. After some time the light became so intense that everyone needed to close their eyes. Soon the intensity of light decreased and everything came clear.

Noworry!

"DAMIT!"

"Is there no way that I can be saved"

"Useless Severus, Where are you, buddy?"

Noworry sulked. It was a foreign feeling for him and after nth centuries he felt sad for someone.

"Severus, I hope you are safe" With this the bird closed his eyes but within a second a loud boom resounded. Noworry reflexively opened his eyes but all he saw a black spear fighting against tiny silver dagger and soon the light started coming from it. 

"Daym, what the hell is happening? How come this black spear is here?"

Soon the intensity increased too much and noworry too was forced to close his eyes."

The light was so strong that it felt like a day in the middle of the night.

When the light faded everyone kept their mouth shut and ears open to see what was the result of a battle. No one was, in reality, expecting this fight to take a tragic end. There they saw a jaw-dropping scene. The crown prince was still kneeling on the ground with his hands on the rune that he made and the blackbird which was supposed to be dead and if not then, at least un-conscious was perched on the ground quietly. The bird didn't look the same how it was looking a few seconds ago. Now it was cutely sitting on the ground staring at everyone with his large watery eyes. His eyes radiated a never seen innocence which made everyone stumped for words. 

The expressions of the bird made them somehow feel guilty for nothing. Thr bird looked at them as if they were all bullying him which was rather untrue. If only they hadn't been fighting with her some time ago, they would also not believe that this cute bird can harm anyone.

Everyone changed their gazes and didn't look at that cheater bird, who was now playing innocent card and shifted their gaze toward the white-haired man who was clothed in full black.

Maverick too saw the handsome face of Severus and was shocked. His feet turned into stone and his whole body shivered unknowingly. He felt like he was in a dream. No not a dream but a nightmare instead. The shock was too high for him and in his stupor, he didn't speak anything.

Severus saw Maverick expressions and sneered in complete disdain. The expressions that Maverick showed were truly of a child that was caught while stealing. Severus completely ignored Maverick and kneeled on the ground as he placed his palms on the ground. With his eyes closed, he chanted a spell and withing seconds the blue smoke again emerged from the ground however this time the blue bubble shattered and the bird felt the wind.

Noworry was also shocked about Severus appearance and internally praised him for his disguise. He was aware that something major must have happened for their connection to break and there must be a story behind Severus appearance and revealing himself. Noworry slowly hopped on his legs and cuddled his beak on Severus' head. 

Severus saw noworry behaving like a cling pet but he didn't scold him. It's been long since he last saw him. Although in the real world it's only been some hours but according to the baroque world, it's been almost weak. Severus dearly missed his birdie friend. Severus patted Noworrr beak. Noworry realised that he was too big for Severus thus he shrank himself in size and quickly perched on Severus' shoulder as he snuggled against his neck.
