"Alright, Alright birdy, don't tickle me now". Despite asking the bird to stop Severus didn't stop patting his head.

Noworry was also thrilled to see Severus alive and was happy from inside. He doesn't even want to recall the sense of crisis he felt when his connection was lost. An unknown scary feeling crept inside his heart which told him that something deep, and something really dark was heading toward Severus but there was no way to stop it. Noworry could only feel restless and anger built inside him, at that point.

Everyone witnessed what happened there. The man in black robes with silver hairs not only broke their crown prince's one of the runes but also tamed the black beast. When everyone saw what happened and how that wild bird turned into a docile pet, each person present there was shocked beyond words. They did, 't had a voice to describe what were they feeling. Never in their life have they experienced such tragic and comedy fight. The wild bird who was ready to swallow everything a while ago was snow behaving like a pet to that man. Another horrifying thing that they witnessed was how that man tamed the bird. It was a no joke to break Maverick runes and also challenging his dagger. Although the dagger was very tiny but on the look and you could tell that the dagger wasn't ordinary. It shined so majestically in the air as if it was dancing in the air. The silver of dagger showed how effective was the blade but it only took a rough black spear for that man to counter-attack crown prince dagger. No, not only counterattack but it also destroyed that dagger. 

"Who is he?"

"Don't he look mighty?"

"Damn he broke Crown prince rune"

"Not only Rune, he even managed to hit his spear"

"Look at his personality. Don't he look handsome?"

"Oh shut up, you still have time to drool over someone at this situation"

"Why not?"

The people who were present there started murmuring and discussing among themselves. Although the discussion was hushed but Maverick listened to everything and Severus too. Their senses were too high to not hear whispers however both of them treated these discussions as air. They both totally ignored it.

"My, My, May I know the name of the gentleman who saved us and our empire from that wild beast"

Severus stiffened when he heard the same cello voice. Laced with calmness and coolness, it was same as it was before. Hiding malice between sweet words of wisdom.

Whose voice could it be if not for Crown prince Maverick.

Severus looked din the direction of Crown prince as Crown Prince stood up from his kneeling. His aura was the same. Even after kneeling on the ground, there was no hit to his reputation.

Noworry too became vigilant and quietly perched on Severus' shoulder. As Severus bowed his head lightly to show his respect for the crown prince he very casually said, "I apologise if River kingdom and crown prince faced any problem due to my pet. Actually, we are new here and this little one was got separated from me so it outraged a little bit.

Maverick wanted to curse on this man.

In his mind, he was thinking that how can anyone say a little to this enormous damage. He had several questions for that man however he refrained his curiosity as it will not leave a good impression for his subordinate.

"Ah, I guess there are no major problems but I am sorry to tell you but there will be inquiry related to this incident. I am afraid we will be needing your assistance young man."

"Sure, I will do anything under my ability to assist Rivera kingdom", Severus said slyly. 

Maverick saw that their conversation was rather smooth however there was a nagging feeling inside his heart. Hew didn't know why but his heart raced whenever he was met with Severus gaze. It was a new experience for him too.

"Will be waiting for your assistance Mr...?"

Maverick deliberately stumbled on his name as he didn't know the identity of the silver-haired man. It was always better to be safe than sorry so Maverick didn't take any chance.

This put Severus in dilemma. Neither he wanted to tell anything about him to Maverick nor did he had a plan.

Severus kept quiet as he was thinking about plan however, Maverik thought that Severus was sacred with his questioning, so he didn't hurry up.

They both waited for a reply from each other however nothing came up from my side. 

Severus was on fire from inside. He was too antsy currently but didn't show on his face. Son the silence was becoming stifling and Severus knew if he failed to I've answers then an investigation will be held for him. He was afraid that secret would come out. After thinking about the consequences, Severus finally opened his mouth but even before they could speak, they saw a woman marching toward him.

She was too wearing and all-black gown however it was finely decorated with mesh. From afar it looked as if a mermaid was walking on the ground. As she got in close and case, everybody observed her undeniable beauty.

"His name is Severus and he is parson that serves Hades"

A fine and mellow voice of the girl came out from her mouth. 

Maverick who was earlier looking at Severus now turned his attention to the women. He was stunned when he heard a familiar name and it took him some time to come back to reality.

"And may I know, who are you miss?"

"Of course. Greeting to the Crown prince of Rivera kingdom. I am Desella and serves under Parson Severus. We hail from the north, Vashye hills."

Severus stared widely at Desella. 

He was amazed to see her lying without batting an eye. Everything she spoke was a white lie and if Maverick thought to conduct a check on them then they will be easily exposed. Despite knowing the dangers she risked everything and was putting up a game. Severus didn't know whether this was the right thing to do but judging how the flow of conversation was taking place he decided to go with Desella had set up.

So like that to avoid causing troubles, he kept quiet.

"Ah, I see. You both hail from the north. Impressive. There are several questions that are still need to be asked so I invite parson Severus and miss Desella to spend some days in our castle. I will make sure you will have a good stay"

Desella was shocked for a moment however she collected herself and smiled placidly."I don't think it will be necessary Crown prince Maverick, after all, we are just a bunch of civilians. I don't think we are privileged enough to share a roof with the royalties."

"Ah, please don't deny miss Desella. It would be utterly shameful if we don't give our regards properly to ur saviour. No matter what argument you put forwards, this is an undeniable truth that Parson Severus was the one who saved our lives."

"Indeed it is, but not to forget we were also the ones who are responsible for this tragedy."

"Miss Desella if you say like this then we need to capture you and parson Severus for creating a ruckus in our palace"

Maverick chuckled calmly as if he was telling a joke but everyone present there understood the hidden threat in his statement.

No matter what, Severus nad Desella were now under crown prince Maverick watch. Even if they don't want they need to follow his orders. The only choice they had was whether they wanted to be treated as guest or prisoners. 

"Alright, we agree to it. Thanks for the hospitality Crown prince Maverick", Desella bowed as she said her regards.

"The pleasure is all mine miss Desella. Mr Elv take care of the damage and casualties and tomorrow in the morning I need a report on today's accident. I want everything on papers. Better not miss anything. General Silas take care of our esteemed guest and help them inside the palace."

"Yes Crown prince"

"Yes Crown prince"

"Good. So then, will meet you tomorrow miss Desella and parson Severus. Excuse me, I have some pending work to finish. Good night"

Maverick left after giving his orders as well as bidding Severus and Desella goodbye. 

Desella smiled whereas Severus just nodded his head in acknowledgement. 

Everyone started splitting too. 

Mr Elv gave orders to the soldiers and asked them to help injured ones and the rest were ordered to remove the debris of fight.

"Mr Parson and miss Desella, this way please", General Silas welcomed them with a warm smile.

"Welcome miss Desella and Mr SEVERUS", a girl's voice resounded in the sir. 

Who else could it be if nor Melanie. Draped in her night suit she head and observed everything happened. To tell the truth she was shocked when she saw Severus. Like others, she too became fascinated with his charms. She saw how he tactfully dodged Maverick attack and crashed his runes too. She personally was aware of Maverick powers and so the man standing before her was no less the Maverick but there were several things that troubled her.
