My Journey to Godhood as a Caterpillar

The moment the captain wandered too close to the building a hairy old man that looked like a gorilla came out of the building and punched the captain directly in the head throwing him away from the building.

Yun Jhin was already invisible and a long way from the building as he watched the elder angrily look around then he shouted:

"Invaders from the Long Empire? You bunches of trash!"

The elder wore a short open white robe that showed his muscles and hairy body, it was also quite disheveled so that meant before he was interrupted he must have had some fun with a fellow elder or a disciple.

He immediately shouted as he released his aura and became a killing god as he rushed into the formation of elites, as they stopped the elder and pushed him back, the captain got up from the rubble as he cleaned some blood from his head and appeared in front of the elder.

The elder countered with a ball of lightning to the face that the captain easily negated with his own, his power started spiking as he punched the elder in the stomach, that threw the elder back into the building which destroyed half of it, the elder then came out covered in blood, but it wasn't his own!

The elder said with gritted teeth:

"How dare you! I grand elder Xue Piao will make you suffer for killing my disciple!"

Technically speaking Xue Piao killed the disciple himself as his body collided with hers, it seemed she was really weak if such a collision transformed her body into mush.

Yun Jhin kept himself out of their way as he made sure he walked towards the right direction of the treasury, this commotion should startle the whole sect and make them rush towards this location.

The captain frowned as he looked around trying to see Yun Jhin then his brows furrowed under his helmet and he shouted:

"There's a chance Sun Sisheng betrayed us! Make sure you kill him on sight!"

The elites clamored as they shouted a yes in unison and started to help their captain to deal with elder Xue Piao. However, the elder was a tough nut that couldn't be cracked easily, he easily kept all of them at bay even though he was injured, he was waiting for reinforcements!

Yun Jhin stopped looking at the fight as he quickly ran away towards the treasury, a small building appeared in front of him after he dodged around the frantic disciples for a long while, he chuckled inside as he looked at the treasury and entered, the formation there was the same as the one that covered the sect, it had a hole in it which could be easily exploited for him. The twins were already dead as he extracted their nutrients with the formation he put on them.

They would drag him down and make him use extra ki to keep their cover-up so he just disposed of them, he kept the extra ki and nutrients in his body just in case he needed a burst to heal up any sudden injuries that might make him unable to escape.

There was a very high chance the captain and the elite squad would be buried on the Heavenly Turtle's sect grounds.

As he entered the treasury a visible frown appeared on his face, things weren't as easy as entering and leaving!

He had to alter some formations to continue inside the treasury, and there were physical traps as well, he had to dodge the physical traps and disable the formation which made him waste quite a lot of time.

By the time he got to the place where the dragon stone was almost 2 hours passed! He knew he had to rush so he quickly pocketed the Dragon stone and left, there was no way he could continue staying inside the treasury and take anything else as he felt people approach the treasury, Yun Jhin kept himself near the wall and used his stealth technique.

The door of the treasury opened as a man that looked to be around his forties walked in, he gave out terrifying energy as he looked around and narrowed his eyes, Yun Jhin knew the man was a King Realm expert!

Yun Jhin made sure to control his life energy so he wouldn't be able to discover anything, he couldn't breathe anyway and the stealth techniques made him thoroughly invisible, the man continued to walk inside the treasury and Yun Jhin quickly left through the open door that closed itself afterward. Yun Jhin made sure to leave a fake dragon stone behind, just as payback for what happened with the dark-skinned man.

He knew he finished the operation but that didn't mean he was safe yet, he looked around and saw the strewn corpses of the elite squad and the decapitated head of the captain that looked at his killer with wide eyes and deep hatred.

Yun Jhin ignored the bodies and left the sect grounds, fortunately, most of the water horses were still ok, Yun Jhin jumped on the quickest one and left!

He knew he couldn't return to the Long Empire, it would be strange if a 9th stage ki cultivating expert fell and Yun Jhin came back, he would be the first culprit that they thought of. Yun Jhin urged the water horse away from the sect grounds and towards the surface, according to the memories he gained from the woman, he could go to the Earth Kingdom if he rode the current he was currently in.

There he could change his identity and made use of the Dragon stone first, the Long Empire was more ideal for his plan as it had a bigger population but he couldn't go back there yet, he would first need to go to the Earth Kingdom and move to the Long Empire later.

Yun Jhin rode the water horse for a few months as he finally left the ocean and looked around the coast, he let the horse leave back into the ocean and walked towards the Earth Kingdom's location according to the stolen memories.

As he walked to the Earth Kingdom he looked around and realized that this kingdom was extremely bland and poor, the Kingdom was created in the middle of the desert and there was no way they could grow any grains or something similar, the earth was too poor.

Yun Jhin wasn't even sure why would the Long Empire want to invade this poor country, as he looked around the only living beings he could detect with his soul willpower would be some mole rats.

He kept his pace steady as he went from village to village and inspected the population and lives of the Earth Kingdom, most of them grew what they dubbed as 'dessert cabbage' and they gained their proteins from eating mole rats, that's what all the villagers ate, cabbages and mole rats.

As he went deeper and deeper into the kingdom he found that most of the population didn't know about cultivation, and only those that were around the edges of the royal capital would know about cultivation.

Yun Jhin decided against going to the capital to initiate his plan, he wanted to create his own sect and spread out cultivation in the Earth Kingdom first!

He went to a border town where he enslaved the population and made them his first disciples, he imparted to them the least demanding cultivation technique he knew and made them cultivate and spread the news about his new cultivation school!

After some time passed people came from far and wide to the Earth Sticks village to learn from the grandmaster Yun Jhin, Yun Jhin decided to use his real name as Sun Sisheng's was known in the Earth Kingdom, he also changed his appearance. His main body was still resting on the borders of the ocean city but there was no chance for anything to happen to it as he already predicted what would happen next according to his immense experience, his main body would awaken by itself if it would sense anything around the area that would put it in danger.

Yun Jhin was now a spirited middle-aged man with a clever look around him, he had an air of nobility and a cute looking face for his middle-aged look, his hair was done in a bun atop his head and he wore the normal garb of the Earth Kingdom which consisted of a grey and yellow robe with earthen colored rock designs at the seams.

He was inside his sect grounds teaching a youngster a cultivation technique:

"You see here, this is how you should circulate your energy so you can gather the earthly ki faster to temper your body, you should also eat plenty of dessert cabbages and mole rats so you can improve faster."

The youngster bowed to Yun Jhin and left the sect grounds, most of the people that came didn't want to cultivate around Yun Jhin but he didn't mind, in the end, they would all come to him. Yun Jhin smoked a pipe made from a rocky material as he looked at a space beside him and said:

"What might I owe the visit of a royal messenger?"

A man jumped out of the ground and bowed towards Yun Jhin and he said:

"Might I inquire why master Yun Jhin decided to teach peasants cultivation?"

The man had a small mustache and wore a simple cloth outfit, if you looked at him you wouldn't put the words royal and messenger together.

Yun Jhin looked the man up and down and he said slowly:

"I have opened this cultivation grounds for the people of the earth kingdom who couldn't get to the royal capital due to their material reasons, I have fought in the war with the Wind Kingdom and I decided to retire, but I felt that I could teach people of the same standing as me how to become strong, after all, I was a peasant myself once."

The messenger kept a smile on his face as he looked at Yun Jhin, he knew that the body snatcher had a high cultivation base as he couldn't see through it.

Yun Jhin waved towards the man and imparted him some secrets that could boost his cultivation base and sent him on his way, then he chuckled as he muttered:

"This should hook the royals of the capital here."

He knew that the royals would try to extort his secrets but when they would come here he would be gone!

He needed to go back and retrieve his main body after so much time passed the waters should have calmed down and he could get near the dock city by now, he left the Earth Kingdom and went to the ocean where he called his water horse, he already controlled it's mind when he let it go.

Yun Jhin made his way back to the dock city as he dug into the earth and took out his main body which crawled back into Sun Sisheng's cranium. He chuckled slowly as he said:

"It's good to be back home! Now to get back to the Earth Kingdom, they should be pretty antsy as they couldn't find me, Hahaha."

Yun Jhin chuckled blew into a burst of full-on laughter as he rode the water horse, back to the Earth Kingdom then he ran to Earth Sticks village, a bunch of people that looked like they had stuck up their ass was waiting in front of his abandoned sect.

Most of them looked angry and disappointed at the same time, Yun Jhin kept a smile on his face as he yawned and walked towards the sect grounds and opened them, the people at the entrance looked at him with wide eyes as they questioned:

"You are Yun Jhin?"

Yun Jhin just kept his smile on his face as he walked inside his sect grounds and sat cross-legged in the middle of the courtyard on an old tree stump and said three words:

"Yes I am!"
