My Journey to Godhood as a Caterpillar

Yun Jhin observed the 'royals' that came to him to demand his cultivation techniques, but he knew these people were weaklings with their royal house's in decline, he made the messenger think that he was around the 1st stage of the ki cultivating realm which made the messenger respect him but not to a high degree as he met people at higher cultivation stages.

His main body broke through to the 7th stage of the heavenly realm while his host's body stood at the peak of the 4th stage of the ki cultivating realm. He looked as the royals walked towards him and demanded:

"You should tell us your cultivation secrets immediately! We are royalty and we demand you peasant tell us what cultivation technique you are using!"

He told the messenger that he was a peasant himself in the past to draw out the dumb royals of the capital, with their bodies he would be able to infiltrate the capital easily, he wasn't sure if the Kingdom truly had a King Realm master, he was only guessing back then but they should have had an expert at the 7th stage or above holding the fort.

Yun Jhin wasn't strong enough to deal with such a guy yet, he would need to break through atleast 2 times to be sure he would be able to take over the Earth Kingdom.

He looked at the royals and shook his head as he pointed at them, their souls were immediately devoured as their bodies were taken over, they were weaklings at the 9th stage of the earthly realm so he didn't need to do much to kill them.

Using their bodies he granted his host body a new identity and moved to the royal capital as the new guard captain and teacher of the house of Fong!

Yun Jhin looked around his new courtyard as he shooed the maid away from it, he didn't need anyone else besides himself inside, he looked at the mental map he gained from devouring the souls of the royals, he pinpointed the location of the royal palace and then he seemingly started wandering around the city.

From time to time some royal would disappear in the capital and people would talk, thinking that there was something strange going on around the forementioned place, Yun Jhin kept devouring royals until he found one that knew the cultivation of the king and it's royal guards, the king stood at the 8th stage and the royal captain at the 7th stage of the ki refining realm.

With the information gained there were no more royals disappearing, Yun Jhin now had to cultivate seriously to break through and take over the kingdom.

From time to time he would leave the capital and search for special herbs, even though the dessert was barren on the outside in the earth some special herbs were growing deep inside, some cultivation rocks that could increase his cultivation base depending on the grams used in pills.

With the help of a few herbs and rocks he created a pill that helped him break through to the 5th stage, he decided that it was enough to help him on this endeavor as he was ready to abandon his host body, with the help of the dragon stone, he would become a dragon caterpillar that could reach the 5,000th rank, this kind of caterpillar could reach up to the Emperor realm.

Yun Jhin walked slowly through the capital as he looked at the rustic buildings surrounding him, he walked into the palace as his host's muscles started to contract and expand his appearance turned to his corpse one, now he had a full-on armor on his body created from his skin, his crimson eyes turned a deep blue as his ki was ignited.

His hair turned purple as his veins started to move like earthworms around his body, he appeared directly inside the royal palace in the place where the king kept his throne, the king eyes widened as he saw Yun Jhin's appearance and immediately got up from his throne and knew it was an attempt on his life.

The king immediately struck down on the ground, a giant boulder came out of the ground and attacked Yun Jhin, but Yun Jhin used his claws and cut the boulder in two, he didn't have much time before this body gave up so he immediately went to the king's location and struck him in the stomach, the king didn't think that his opponent would be this fast, his entrails colored the palace red before he could say anything to Yun Jhin his body was decapitated.

The guard captain entered the place the same moment that the king was decapitated and he shouted in anger and grief!

But before he could do anything or even attempt to attack Yun Jhin his head flew into the air as well!

Yun Jhin laid out an instant attack formation the moment he crashed into the palace, fuelling it with his burning ki it immediately killed the distracted man before he could do anything, Yun Jhin's true body escaped Sun Sisheng's body as it started to break apart into dust, he immediately used his main body to eat the two bodies and then hid.

The queen cried for her late husband as she kneeled beside the throne, she knew the man was dead all the investigations lead to this. Unknowingly to her Yun Jhin's true body was breaking through to the peak 9th stage of the heavenly realm after he overate, it has been almost 2 months since the investigation began and the queen would come here daily to mourn her husband and her lover the guard captain.

Suddenly out of the throne a small caterpillar entered the woman's nose and before she could say anything else or cry her expression changed, she got up from the ground and looked at her own hands as she chuckled:

"Great success, the queen has only given birth to a son a few years ago and he can't lead the country, I will improve this body's cultivation forcefully and make everyone listen to her, with the dragon stone in hand I should be able to do this experiment!"

Yun Jhin now using the body of the queen Kino Atomi, walked around the palace's halls and went back to 'her' room there his main body forcefully injected her body with a cultivation technique that swelled her cultivation base to the 3rd stage of the ki cultivating realm and shortened the body's lifespan to 2 a remaining of 2 years, her body started to age extremely fast, from a young woman in her thirties she became a doddering grandmother in her 80s.

But Yun Jhin used his body-altering technique to make her look the same as before and then he announced to the whole Kingdom!

Telling the people that she found a cultivation resource that could be shared with everyone, the dragon stone. Her announcement became big after she explained what the cultivation resource did and that he let anyone use it as it had unlimited uses!

The dragon stone could indeed be used unlimited times but it wasn't a very good resource, the amount of dragon bloodline it gave out was minuscule to the point that it wasn't that useful and it could only give a 10-15% of cultivation speed increase. To Yun Jhin it was worse than trash but to the poor people of the kingdom, it was like a divine item!

Yun Jhin let everyone use the stone so they could gain the dragon bloodline, it didn't matter who touched it, however, it couldn't be moved, Yun Jhin used extremely strong formations to keep it in place so no one could steal it.

After 2 years the queen died and her son became the successor of the kingdom, of course, Yun Jhin took the son's body the moment his mother died. He then continued to act as the puppet ruler as his main body continued to cultivate inside his new host's cranium.

As time passed, 3 years after the queen died the little king was assassinated! Yun Jhin escaped from the little boy's body and took over the attackers, he let the kid die and took over the 1st stage ki cultivating assassins body.

With this body in arms, he used another forbidden technique to defeat the currently strongest being in the kingdom and take over his body as well, afterward he reinstated himself as the king using the new host body, he just acted naturally seemingly as if things went how they should be, but under the guise of a new kingdom, Yun Jhin was still the ruler!

1 year after the little king's assassination passed the new king made a gathering of all of the people with the 6th stage heavenly realm and above that touched the dragon stone to meet at the royal palace!

Yun Jhin stood on his throne as the palace filled up with people, he got up from the throne as he looked around and then started talking:

"Our Earth Kingdom entered into a time of cultivation with the help of the dragon stone, this seemingly miracle artifact was one that gave you all that you have today."

The crowd nodded to Yun Jhin as they looked at him and thought why would the king ask for such a high amount of people to come to the palace, but Yun Jhin's next words made them realize why:

"I thank all of you for coming to the palace, with all of you people, I can finally attain a decent form!"

The crowd panicked as they didn't understand their King's words, they even wanted to ask him what he meant by that but the formation that he worked on for years activated, Yun Jhin kept a passive face as he looked at all of the people dying around him, the blood, limbs and bodies, all of them just stood there waiting for Yun Jhin to devour them, all of the people in this palace were 10% of the kingdoms cultivators!

Yun Jhin's main body left from his new host's corpse and started to feast!

Crunch splash splish, blood, and meat, bones and organs, feast a giant feast for Yun Jhin!

[Host has eaten a body that contains an extremely small amount of dragon ki, eat 50,000 bodies to be able to evolve into the dragon caterpillar!]

Finally after a long, while the system was heard again, Yun Jhin almost forgot he had such an ability in him, after all, what he ate up till now didn't give him a caterpillar form that was above his current one so the system ignored everything unless a higher caterpillar form was achieved than his current one he would be notified.

There were around 55,000 corpses around so Yun Jhin had plenty to eat, he kept eating, his body increasing in size, as he ate more and more the bones crunched and the room started to smell more and more of blood, the blood started to rot as time went by and people would come to investigate what happened but they would join the corpse pile!

As Yun Jhin eat more and more corpses, after a few weeks he finally finished and he met with another notification:

[Host has eaten enough bodies that contain dragon ki, would host like to evolve into a dragon caterpillar? Even the weakest dragon caterpillar can reach the 5,000th rank and the strongest can reach the 7,500 ranks.]

Yun Jhin hid inside his host's body as he made it move away from the blood cacked hall inside the hidden cultivation chambers of the king.

This was the last time he would be using a host body, from now on he would move around with his real body, as a new dragon caterpillar!

He started to sleep inside his host's cranium as he started the evolutionary process, the next time he would wake up he would have broken through the 1st stage of the ki cultivating realm and became a new species!

Yun Jhin went into a deep sleep as a different past life appeared inside his dreams, this was one of his first ones...
