Mystic Wizard in Azeroth

Chapter 18: Self-sacrifice, Facing Again

Harry and the others walked through the huge oak door and into the second room.

As they stepped in, the second room suddenly went from darkness to light, illuminating a shocking scene:

There is a huge animal stone guarding the room, which looks very hideous.

And at the other end of the room, on the back of the stone guard, there was a door, and a box was stepped under the guard's feet.

"What should we do now?" Harry asked nervously.

"Look here!" Hermione yelled, she seemed to have spotted something nearby, and Harry and Neville moved closer together.

"Self-sacrifice is the greatest courage."

A thoughtless sentence was engraved on the entrance, causing the three of them to look at each other, and finally they decided to go ahead to see what was going on.

Just when they carefully raised their wands and walked to the side of the stone sculpture, the body resembled a terrifyingly large lion with huge claws and a long yellow tail. The stone sculpture suddenly came to life, raised its head and stared at the three people, eager to try.

They looked at the gate guarded by the stone carvings and quickly retreated.

"What now?" Harry whispered.

"I think it's clear," Neville said calmly now. "We need someone to distract the stone guard. The key should be in the box at his feet."

"So who's going to distract the guards?" Hermione asked.

"Come on, I probably understand the meaning of that sentence." Neville said calmly.

"No, Neville! We don't know what this stone monster will do to you!" Harry said anxiously, "There must be other ways."

"There is no victory without sacrifice. I didn't understand it before, but now I understand it."

"But--"

"Go about your business, Harry, leave this to me." After speaking, Neville patted Harry on the shoulder, "When I lure him away, you two go get the key in the box. After all, It's Hogwarts, it'll be fine."

Neville stood up at this moment and ran to the side away from Harry and Hermione. He then waved his hand and seemed to be saying something.

"No wonder little Mr. Flitwick is very optimistic about Neville. He said that Neville has something that none of us have." Harry said.

"He said he stretched out three fingers and counted down to three two one." Hermione was a little flustered, but still read Neville's lips.

The two of them watched as Neville pulled out his wand, shifted fingers, and then pointed the wand at the stone guard, and a spell shot from the top and hit it.

The stone guard seemed to be enraged. It stood up from the ground, almost higher than the door, let out a silent growl, and then swooped towards Neville.

Neville turned and ran, while Harry and Hermione raced toward the box, clutching at each other.

Almost at the same time as the two of them got the box, Neville was also thrown down by the stone guard, and he fell heavily to the ground, his wand was thrown aside, making no sound.

"Neville!" Hermione screamed when she looked back at this scene.

Resisting the urge to run over, Harry opened the box, and inside lay a golden key. He took it out and opened the door, and when he turned around, he saw that the stone guard seemed to have spotted two "thieves".

Harry and Hermione gave Neville one last sad look back before rushing through the door and down the next corridor. As the door was slowly closed, the stone guard turned back into a stone sculpture and sat on the spot, leaving only Neville in the distance.

"Will he—"

"He'll be fine," said Harry, trying to convince himself of it, "what do you think will come next?"

"We've passed Sprout's trap, the devil's web—

It must be Professor Flitwick who enchanted those keys—

Professor McGonagall transformed the guard,

make it alive-

That leaves Quirrell's magic, and Snape's..."

They came to another door.

"Okay?" Harry asked quietly.

"go in."

Harry pushed the door open. A disgusting stench hit their nostrils, and they had to lift their clothes to cover their noses. The eyes of the two were also smoked with tears. Through the blurred eyes of tears, they saw two giant monsters, but they were all lying motionless on the floor in front of them, unconscious, with a large bloody mass on their heads.

"Well, we don't have to fight these two trolls," Harry whispered.

They stepped over the giant's thick legs cautiously, "Come on, I can't breathe."

He opened the next door, and for a moment, the two of them could hardly see what awaited them next—but there was nothing scary here, just a table with seven bottles of various shapes lined up on it.

"Snape's magic," said Harry, "what should we do?"

As soon as the two of them crossed the threshold, a flame rose from behind them, sealing the doorway. The flame was unusual: it was purple.

At the same time, black flames shot up from the door leading to the front. They're stuck in the middle.

"Look!" Hermione grabbed the roll of parchment that lay next to the bottle. Harry stood behind her, and the two began to read (see the author's words for the details of the riddle, a very simple logic riddle, so I won't repeat it).

Hermione let out a sigh of relief, but Harry couldn't figure it out.

"This is not a problem of magic, but a problem of logic. Thanks to Mr. Flitwick, I still retain the thinking I used to learn mathematics. Many wizards do not have the ability to reason logically. They only use magic to solve problems, so they can only use magic to solve problems." Be stuck with this problem forever."

Harry suddenly realized, he read it again carefully, and then began to identify the seven bottles in front of him with Hermione.

"This bottle keeps us going!"

"This round bottle allows you to return through purple flames!"

The two said in unison.

"Hermione, you drink this bottle," Harry said again, "don't panic, these potions are only for one sip, and it is obviously restricted to one person to move on. You go back to find Neville, and ride a broom to find it." Mr. Flitwick, he should be back by now. Professor Dumbledore is not here, so we can only seek his help. I may be able to contain Snape temporarily, but I am definitely not his opponent. I knew little Professor Flitwick was dueling."

"But Harry - what if You-Know-Who is with him?"

"I've escaped once before, and maybe I can save my life. What's more, 'Self-sacrifice is the greatest courage'," Harry gently repeated what they had seen before, "I think this is the most important thing. its true meaning."

Hermione shuddered and hugged Harry suddenly.

"You and Neville are both excellent Gryffindors, great wizards."

"I'm no match for you and Neville," Harry said sheepishly, and Hermione let him go.

"I'm just reading to death," said Hermione, "with a little cleverness."

(At this point Harry yelled "Little Mr. Flitwick admires you very much. He thinks you must be an excellent wizard!")

"I want to be a great wizard," Hermione continued, regardless of what Harry said, "Friendship and courage, I still have a lot to learn! Harry, you have to be careful! I'll go and come back soon!"

After speaking, she picked up the chubby bottle, drank it in one gulp, and became alert all over.

"How does it feel, Hermione?" Harry asked worriedly.

"Cold as ice," said Hermione, shivering.

"Let's go, it won't work in a while."

"Good luck and be careful."

"Go!"

Hermione pursed her lips, turned and walked straight through the purple flames.

Watching Hermione disappear into the flames, Harry took a deep breath and grabbed the smallest bottle. He turned to face the black flames.

"I'm here." He finished, and drank the liquid in the small bottle in one gulp.

It really penetrated his whole body like ice. He put down the bottle and walked forward. He worked up his courage and saw the black flames licking his body, but he didn't feel it—for a split second, he couldn't see anything but the black flames—and then he came to the other side smoothly , into the last room.

There was already someone in there - not Snape, not even Voldemort.

Principal's office.

On a smooth wall, several perspectives are played to show the pass that the three of them have crossed all the way.

Seeing Neville's self-sacrifice and Harry's last reluctance, Aristophanes suddenly laughed, and the more he laughed, the happier he became.

Although the general process has not changed, I still changed some things, didn't I? At least Neville is no longer cowardly, but gradually showing his courage. These are the changes brought about by his "variable".

Seeing the high priest of the centaur in the Forbidden Forest during the day, he opened his mouth and concluded that he was the biggest "variable". He couldn't see his power yet, but he would change the fate of many people, including the centaur himself.

"You've taught them well, young Mr. Flitwick." Dumbledore stood up.

"But it's time for you to play, and I will trouble you to bring Harry back. As for the Philosopher's Stone, you can take it first and return it to Nicole when you see him in August this year."

"Good professor." Aristophanes was in a good mood. He turned his head and said goodbye to Professor Dumbledore. "Then I will take my leave first, Professor Dumbledore."

After speaking, he took out his wand and left the principal's room quickly.

When Hermione flew to the hall, Aristophanes was already there waiting for her.

Hermione cried, "Little Mr. Flitwick, please save Neville and Harry!"

"I already know," Aristophanes rubbed Hermione's hair, "I'll go there now, do you want to rest at Madam Pomfrey's?"

Hermione shook her head stubbornly, and Aristophanes was not reluctant when he saw this, and led Hermione to the place where they crossed the barrier again.

Hypnotized the big dog Lu Wei, set fire to scare away the devil's net, removed the flying key and inserted it into the door, and then saw the unconscious Neville.

Hermione ran over quickly. She turned Neville over and let him lie flat on the ground. Now Neville had woken up and sat up dizzily.

He looked at Hermione who ran over to hug him, and saw little Mr. Flitwick smiling behind him, his face flushed suddenly, and he didn't know where to put his hands.

"Have a good rest, I'll go and see Harry." After speaking, Aristophanes walked to the stone guard, chanted a spell, took off the box, opened the door and walked in.

He Shi Shi ran to the penultimate level.

Looking at the flames before and after, he released the ice armor and diamond body skin, stepped directly over the black flames, and entered the final room.
