Primordial Dimensions

Chapter 67: 'Rusty' Skills

The majority of beasts within the radiant mountain ring dimension were unknown to mankind, but the group of beasts in front of Shane weren't.

But even so, what he saw astonished Shane a lot, as a group of 6 sparky-horned grazed more than fifty meters away from him.

Considering that it was the first group of beasts that jumped into his view, it could only be considered extremely lucky because it was somewhat uncommon for the same race to exist in multiple dimensions, even though it was possible.

Smiling cruelly at the mid- wild stage sparky-horned goats that were unaware of their doom, Shane sneaked up closer to them in order to pursue his prey, once he used up all his possible shoots.

With an arrow already nocked on the bowstring, he pulled it back, once he reached a certain range before he adjusted his angle.

Releasing the arrow with a smooth movement, a *sour* could be heard coming from it, as the arrow pierced through one of the grazing sparky-horned goat's abdomen, without it noticing anything at all as a searing pain went through its body.

The pierced through sparky-horned goat was still unaware of its encroaching death as everything seemed to become heavier while its legs gave in.

Meanwhile, the surrounding sparky-horned goats noticed their comrade being pierced by something with an extremely high velocity, as another arrow flew towards them, hitting another mid-wild stage goat at its back, crushing the bones before it pierced out of the back, as if nothing happened.

Shane wasn't really satisfied with his two shots, but immediately after he released the second arrow, he stored it away, only for two daggers to appear within his hands.

The shiolite dagger with its rare quality was still his strongest close combat weapon while he purchased another tier-1 dagger with a common quality in order to enhance his efficiency.

Two sparky-horned goats were already fighting for their lives, while Shane rushed towards the dumbfounded remaining four mid wild stage beasts that seemed to do nothing, as they noticed his sudden approach.

Their field of emotion was extremely difficult to decipher as they were full of wrath and frightened at the same time, when they gazed at Shane, not knowing whether to flee or to fight.

In the end, two out of the four remaining uninjured sparky-horned goats couldn't abandon their comrades as they charged at Shane, who swiftly swirled around them, only to thrust his daggers into their necks in order to kill them without causing them too much pain.

Shane found the two sparky-horned goats' actions marvelous as they gave their lives in order to protect their comrades, which not many beasts and races would do.

Unfortunately, it was entirely useless as Shane would kill all off them either way because the sparky-horns were worth a small fortune.

Thanks to their elemental affinity and ability to be grinded into weapons, their worth was 5 silver for each horn which Shane wouldn't waste.

The last two sparky-horned goats ran away and Shane followed them after swiftly storing the four dead goat corpses away.

There was still blood dripping from their dead bodies, but they were dead for sure and Shane was only worried about the arrows that pierced through the two bodies as he had to find them once again, as he sighed something extremely weird in front of him.

"What the actual f*ck?" Slipped subconsciously out of his mouth as he gazed at the two-meter-tall goat that revealed itself after its brethren had been killed.

`Is that the sparky-horned goat's evolution?` Shane suddenly began to wonder as he gazed at the slightly purple horns which were curled with their size of more than 50 centimeters.

Thick lightning enveloped the horns and he seemed to be bewitched by them, as Umbra bit into his neck to wake him up.

`What was that?` Shane asked himself as he was able to control himself again.

It was weird for him to lose control over his body and Shane started to ask himself why that was the case, as his daggers disappeared once again from his hands, with his bow and an arrow manifesting in his hands.

From his first two shots, Shane noticed that his proficiency decreased by a noticeable degree, even though he used a foreign bow for his first time which's strength was too much for him to handle.

In normal cases, everyone would think hitting the designated target would already be an achievement with such hindrances but Shane was a different case because he couldn't accept his inability to kill them instantly.

It somehow tortured his mind and the tall `lightning-horned goat` in front of him seemed to be his perfect target.

Shane wasn't sure of its official name or what stage it was, but he estimated it to be at the elite stage, as its aura was mightier than the peak-wild stage purple furred wolves and scaled lizards he met before.

As such, he nocked the arrow in his hands on the bowstring, when Shane noticed the lightning-horned goat roaring out enraged before it charged towards him with the two small sparky-horned goats behind it.

It was as if the two spark-horned goats were followers of the lightning-horned goat as they roared out immediately after it.

However, Shane didn't care about their existence even a tiny bit, as he gazed at the only threatful being in front of him that could kill him.

Activating the [Berserk(F)] skill, Shane pulled the bowstring back with all his might, causing his muscles to bulge as the string reached his chin.

Due to the lightning-horned goat's wrath it accumulated thanks to witnessing the death of its brethren, it charged straight towards Shane without any detour.

This, however, was extremely advantageous for Shane as he could calmly aim at the massive target in front of him before he released the rare quality arrow with its terrifying force behind it.

Soaring through the air in a smooth curve, the arrows pierced right into the lightning-horned goat's skull, crushing it as the arrowhead bent slightly.

Noting that his aim was on point, Shane smiled lightly before the two daggers appeared within his hands once again.

The lightning-horned goat collapsed on the ground, shocking its two followers as Shane appeared between them, piercing out with his two daggers without wasting a single moment for unnecessary moves, killing the two remaining opponents merciless.
