Primordial Dimensions

Chapter 68: Worth of high-quality

Noticing that his archer skill was still acceptable, Shane nodded his head as he collected the remaining carcasses, as he noticed something important.

'If I miss a target, my arrows will be lost forever, huh?' and a slightly complicated expression appeared on his face, after figuring out that he would have to hit every target if possible.

Shane looked out for the arrow that pierced through the sparky-horned goat's back, but he couldn't find it anymore.

He was neither thinking about the danger encroaching him, as soon as he missed a target but rather the loss of a single arrow that was worth nothing compared to his life.

This was what made out a stingy person and Shane noticed it himself slightly embarrassed.

`At least my aim is still good` he thought slightly proud, as he turned around to search for his new prey.

Shane was feeling slightly exhausted but that was solely because he used his [Berserk] skill.

As such, everything should be fine for normal fights, as long as he wouldn't exert his remaining two [Berserk]-skill usages in succession.

Furthermore, he was still relatively close to the RadiantRing shelter which was different from his previous journey to the elemental crystal cave.

Strolling through the forest carefully, Shane noticed that his energy replenished extremely fast, as he tried to gather mana with his [Mortal-(Platinum)] mana gathering technique while walking.

It was not that difficult to exert the technique while walking around, only the efficiency was rather bad.

Nevertheless, Shane's mana replenished extremely fast, increasing his energy recovery thanks to his filled mana pool.

As such, he was confident in shooting multiple times with his bow, which would increase his combat prowess by quite a lot.

Thanks to his tier-1 bow, Shane was confident in fighting more openly against all kinds of peak-Wild stage beasts and even some groups with one or two low-elite stage beasts shouldn't be much of a problem

It wasn't long until he found the next group of beasts he was capable of fighting.

Furthermore, the race he found was similar to the sparky-horned goats and Shan was familiar with them.

Purple furred wolves! Seven at that.

But more important for Shane was that he sighted them nearby the shelter, only one or two kilometers away, which was definitely too close, as he knew that the purple furred wolves were led by at least one awakened beast.

With that in mind, Shane had a bad premonition with multiple theories supporting it at the same time.

At the same time, multiple questions spread through his mind, but everything had to wait for a moment until he would have finished the small wolf-pack that had one low-elite wolf as their leader.

This could be considered fortunate for Shane, as his bow manifested in front of him, with a rare quality tier-1 arrow.

Nocking the arrow on the bowstring, Shane estimated the distance before he adjusted his angle to the current wind velocity.

Releasing the arrow, he instantly felt that his shot would hit his designated target, as he stored the bow back into the spatial storage in order to make place for his two daggers that appeared in his hands.

Rushing towards the seven purple furred wolves, Shane circulated his mana within the lower body to accelerate even more, as his eyes followed the arrow's trajectory.

The distance between him and the wolf pack was only 70 meters and could be crossed within a short amount of time.

However, Shane doubted that he would arrive in front of them unnoticed, which caused him to use his current tactic.

Straightforward attack!

With a *thump* Shane knew that his arrow hit the target, as not even a painful roar was issued by the wolf he hit.

Taking a glance at the elite stage purple furred wolf, Shane saw that it pierced through its throat right into the chest, which looked somewhat painful.

Nevertheless, Shane immediately knew his tier-1 rare bow and arrow completed their task, causing him to be alone with six shocked purple furred wolves that looked at him with multiple emotions.

Their leader died and it was unknown what they should do, as one of the braver wild stage purple furred wolves charged right at him enraged, without caring about anything else.

The other wolves followed suit and Shane smiled only lightly, before he used the qualitative advantage of owning two tier-1 daggers, as he deflected the first pouncing wolf with one dagger, only to sever its paw with his other dagger before twisting his body while bending down in order to thrust his freed dagger into the wolf's chest.

Not wasting a single moment on death the dying wolf, Shane changed his target to the remaining five purple furred wolves that were once again shocked about his cruelty.

The distance between them was only 10 meters and he charged at them, forcing the group of wolves to take action, as small electricity currents enveloped their bodies.

Trying to surround Shane was one of their most commonly used tactics, however, they forgot to calculate their opponent's strength, as Shane just charged through them in order to pick one of the wolves after another as his sole target.

As such he was able to fight one versus one instead of him fighting against all at the same time.

Cleaving through their limbs, Shane used the advantage of high-tiered equipment and he smiled slightly at the dead corpses in front of him, which turned out to look extremely cruel, as his face was splattered with crimson-colored blood.

In the end, the whole fight was rather boring, as the wolfpack used stupid tactics that worked out for their common preys that were only slightly stronger, without much intelligence.

However, due to their tactic, Shane could figure out something crucial.

There wasn't a similar intelligent race nearby the purple furred wolf's territory and he could notify the guards about his finds as soon as he accumulated enough information, because his gut feeling told him, that something was off.

Right now, the only thing Shane could tell for sure was, that there was a purple furred wolf race close to them.

With the additional information that the same race existed around 4 hours away from their shelter, one could interpret it many ways.

One interpretation was that their dimensional portal brought them right into a large territory with awakened beasts ruling it, while another interpretation could be that there were just multiple factions of the same race.

In the end, there was also the possibility of a single race conquering the whole territory and Shane sincerely hoped that this interpretation would be false.

However, being from the same race wouldn't immediately indicate that all of them were friendly with each other or even that they worked together.

Even Shane couldn't be sure of this, but the premonition he had in addition to his gut-feeling told him that mankind's situation within the Radiant Mountain-ring dimension was about to become rather complicated.

In the end, Shane didn't want to see humanity suffer too much, which brought him to his decisions he was about to take.

Looking at Umbra, Shane felt excited and worried at the same time as he announced uncertain

"Let's search for Wolf's den!"
