Reincarnated as both God and The Devil

Chapter 95: Welcome Home, my Child.

The Princess' walk was probably the longest hour of Lord Karl's life. It was like an entourage, a truly eventful walk through the city.

Lots of people were blocking their path as they wanted to meet the Princess. The guards could barely contain the people's excitement as they rushed towards them in daze.

Karl's stress was off the roof. One single mistake, one single hair that was harmed from the Princess. And they would have to answer to the King.

Why do you have to send a princess of all people!? Karl howled in his mind. Emi could only comfort him by touching his shoulders.

But out of all the people present, there was someone can beat Lord Karl's anxiety.

"M-mr. Voice? Are you alright?", Silbern had a worried expression on his face as he approached Viel.

Viel who was currently swearing buckets.

"Y-yes, I am fine, child"

But he was not. All through the long walk, he was sandwiched in between Sofia and Ilrina's accusing stares.

The two were not even looking at the sights of the city, instead, they were just staring at him.

The others could not help but look at Viel with pity. What ever did he do to garner such curiosity from both princesses?

But of course, the most pitiful of the bunch was the spectacled specialist.

The walk was hell for him as he could not even see where he was going. He hit his toe several times during the walk.

He could not see clearly, as Mr. Voice forcefully borrowed his spectacles. But alas, no one was concerned for him.

"Would you like to take a rest? I had them prepare a room for you", Karl said as he turned to Princess Sofia.

"No need", Princess Sofia shook her head, "I would like to look at this colossal door as soon as possible… this?"

Princess Sofia looked at the state of Karl's manor. Debris were scattered everywhere.

"Ah, forgive me for the unsightly scene. This was caused by… the demon", Karl said as he looked at the holes that were made yesterday. They still could not completely renovate the place, as Princess Sofia's arrival was something unexpected.

Princess Sofia's curiosity was getting bigger and bigger. Could demons really exist? With that thought, they all headed to the huge hole.

With the addition of two princesses and a couple of guards, they almost could not fit on the lift.

"…"

And they thought that the walk to the castle was awkward. They could not even move as they were intimidated by the Princess' presence.

After a few minutes, Princess Sofia asked a question. "This gray haired kid, it was said that he was the key?"

Finally, it was a chance for one of the specialists to speak.

"Ah! It-", before the spectacled specialist could talk, he was interrupted by another.

"Yes. The boy seems to be connected to the door, somehow. His whole body lit up. If it was not for the demon, we think that the door would already be open by now"

"Hm… I see", Sofia placed her hand on her chin as she examined Silbern.

Silbern's heart started beating rapidly as he noticed that the Princess was looking at him. What was he supposed to do? Should he kissed her hand? Should he bow? His mind was about to explode.

"…"

Once again, the lift became silent. Viel wanted to go down to escape this awkward situation, but he was afraid that if he jumps down, his cloak will fall off and blow his cover.

It was then that the Elf Princess, Ilrina, placed a question. A very direct and straightforward question towards Viel.

"Are you Viel, the Great Spirit, Mr. Voice?"

Hearing this question, Viel almost choked as he released a cough. "I-I am Great, yes. But fortunately not yet a Spirit, child. OHOHOHO"

"…"

Once again, silence.

"Mr. Voice, I think we are nearing the bottom", the spectacled specialist said, "P-perhaps you can give me back my glasses?"

"!!!"

Everyone quickly looked at the spectacled specialist. You idiot! They all thought. Everyone knew that Mr. Voice was currently in disguise and avoiding the Princess. Even Silbern was aware, and yet the spectacled specialist still asked for his spectacles back.

"OHOHOHO!", Mr. Voice laughed awkwardly, "Young ones these days, always wanting something from their elders!"

"B-but-", before the spectacled specialist could talk again, the female specialist covered his mouth.

"…"

Finally, after a half of an hour of awkwardness, they finally arrived at the bottom. Stepping out of the lift, the common people felt like they could finally breathe again.

That was probably the most stressful ride of their life.

As soon as all of them got out of the lift, Princess Sofia raised her hand and a light appeared above it.

The light then floated above, and once it reaching the ceiling of the cave, it quickly spread. Completely filling the cave with light. It was almost as if they were outside.

And with this light, they could finally see how colossal the door truly was. One could wonder if this really was a door.

Princess Sofia rushed towards the door and quickly inspected it a few times, her eyes glistening with curiosity.

She then stopped at a certain location, "So… Inject the mana here?", as soon as she said that, the door lit up completely.

"Ah! Amazing! As expected of the Royal Spectacled Beautiful Mage!", the female specialist was in awe.

"With you and Mr. Voice, we have no need for any more mages!", the spectacled specialist hollered in joy.

"A mage?", Princess Sofia's lips curved, "I thought Mr. Voice was a fighter? Well, according to the rumors that reached the royal castle"

"OHOHO", once again Viel laughed awkwardly, "Young ones really do believe everything they hear these days!", said Viel as he looked at the spectacled specialist with a wide glance.

A rumble resounded through the cave, and once again, a hole appeared right in the center of the huge door.

"Gray boy, your turn", said the Princess as she continued to supply the door with mana.

"Y-yes!", Silbern quickly approached the hole. And as soon as he got near to it, his eyes started to glow, and his hair once again turned silver.

And like a puppet, his arm was slowly and carefully inserted into the hole.

The streams of light on the door flickered, and soon, like worms attracted to a fruit, all the strings of light that covered the door wriggled their way into the hole.

"A-amazing! It is as if the runes are alive!", the specialists could not help but be in awe.

Even Princess Sofia, who was now back to the front of the door, could not help but feel excitement.

"These runes are so old, and yet they still work perfectly", she said. The excitement inside her started to build up even more. What wonders could this door hold? And could humanity use it? Several thoughts were scattering in her mind.

After all the light was completely absorbed by the hole.

A sound resounded.

It was a howl that pierced the ears of everyone present. As if the earth itself was calling for them, they felt a sense of longing, a sense of home. Like all of them were meant to be at this place.

And finally, the door slightly opened. A soothing, but powerful voice echoed throughout the country for everyone to hear. It was like a ripple, a ripple that reached the ends of the world.

"My Child, you have traveled far, only to come back to the place where it all started"

The soothing voice started to speak as light started seeping out from the gaps of the opening door.

The voice commanded a powerful tone, and yet, it was neither ominous or forceful, the only thing that could be felt from it was warmth.

"You have finally fulfilled the prophecy, my dear Silbern. A task that was deemed impossible. But you, you have succeeded"

The group could only continue to listen, as their minds were completely enraptured by the enthralling voice.

"You, my child, have ended all wars. With the Princess of both Humans and Elves in your arms, you have united the warring races… United by marriage. You stood against the true enemy and laid waste to the demons that threatened your world!"

Finally, a bright light filled the entire cave as the door fully opened, causing the people present to cover their eyes. And once the bright light was gone, there she was.

A woman, meters tall. With eyes that seemed to be the world itself, her green hair and brown skin that seemed to reflect the earth.

All the people looked up in awe, but also in confusion. What exactly is this mysterious naked gigantic woman talking about? They all thought. But none of them could voice out their concerns.

The woman spread her arms as she looked at Silbern with the warmest smile.

"I welcome you home, my child"
