"Little Rabbit, do you know why the old man secluded himself alone like that?" Feng Xue asked Rong Hua curiously.

"Nope. Not a clue. Although we shared a home, he wasn't a talkative type of guy. Whenever I brought out the topic, he always shrugged it off and lazed around again. He always tried to be mysterious, that old fogey." Rong Hua replied.

"I also still don't know who he is even though I had already checked all of my records. He is very elusive," said Snowy as she shooked her head.

"Maybe the old man doesn't want to be found out and disturbed," guessed Feng Xue.

"Perhaps."

To be honest, Snowy still curious about his identity, but there was no point in Snowy pondering over it more than this. If the old man had no intention to let people knew about him, with his power, nobody could do anything about it. Snowy decided to focus on the matter of Nine-Petal Lotus first.

After several hours the trio returned to the lake. Rong Hua proposed to make the place a rendezvous point because, in the night when the Nine-Petal Lotus would bloom, The Lotus needed to absorb much moonlight.

Snowy and Feng Xue agreed to Rong Hua's proposal, and then they split to make their preparation. Later the night, Rong Hua came back and informed them that the Lotus would move to their place when the night fell on the third day.

Snowy and Feng Xue had already finished moving their temporary shelter closer to the lake. Snowy also had gathered some fishes, spirit herbs and fruits, and firewood to prepare their dinner.

"Growl..." a rumbling voice echoed in the forests while the owner of the voice covered her blushing face with her hand.

"Xue, Don't worry. I'll prepare the dinner in a second," said Snowy gently.

Meanwhile, Rong Hua was laughing her rabbit's ass on the floor, made Feng Xue wanted to find a hole to hide in embarrassment.

Snowy quickly took out her kitchen utensil, they were given to her by Madam Feng before Feng Xue, and she departed to Blackwood Forest. Even inexperienced people could guess that the quality of the tools was very high.

"Is she good at cooking too?" Rong Hua finally stopped laughing and threw a question at Feng Xue.

"Just watch. You won't be disappointed," replied Feng Xue with a smug smile.

While everyone was watching her, Snowy reached out his hand and suddenly pulled the fish out of the water basin. She effortlessly picked the fish up with chopsticks skillfully clamping onto its sides.

The fish was struggling but could not break free as if it was caught in a vise grip.

Snowy sifted through the fish. To be frank, the fish was indeed very plump and meaty. Her eyes slightly lit up, and her satisfaction toward the ingredient rose.

Snowy picked up the kitchen knife and twirled it in her hand, the dazzling technique immediately caused Feng Xue's smug smile to even bigger, and Rong Hua gasped in amazement.

Seeing Snowy's knife handling skill was enough for Rong Hua to tell that Snowy was a cut above the average chef.

Twirling her kitchen knife had already become a habit for Snowy. She liked the feel of the knife dancing within her finger before she used it to slice or chop the ingredients.

Slice.

Snowy's eyes turned sharp as she swiped the kitchen knife across the belly of the fish. The knife's sharp edge directly sliced open its fair and tender belly as if it was tofu.

Snowy then began the steps of removing the fish's innards with movements so fluid as if she was drawing a painting. The process that should originally appear bloody and violent became strangely beautiful.

After cleaning the fish with water, she widened the incision at its belly and split it apart. The fish was laid open on the cutting board like a pancake.

Snowy lightly swung the blade of the kitchen knife with her finger. She then gently sliced on the fish with eight strokes and patted the plump flesh of the fish.

In several minutes the fish had been prepared. However, this was just the completion of the preparatory step. Grilling a fish was a different matter altogether.

Snowy then took out many spirit herbs and fruits that she gathered earlier and various containers filled with seasoning.

Rong Hua and Feng Xue were stupefied as they watched Snowy take out the assorted items. They were at a loss on how to react.

Feng Xue had guessed that Snowy bring ample preparation for cooking in the wild, but she didn't expect that it was this complete. Snowy seemingly wanted to turn the lake's shore to be her personal kitchen.

On the other hand, Rong Hua started drooling in expectation for her cooking.

After Snowy washed the fruits and herbs, she swiftly put them on the cutting board, and her hand began to do its magic.

Don don don.

The spirit herbs and fruits turned into a paste in the blink of an eye. Ordinary people could only saw Snowy's hand turn blurry as her cutting speed had already reached the speed of sound.

Rong Hua felt a chill down her spine as she watched how skilled Snowy was with her knife. Even though she wasn't originally an animal, looking at how Snowy cooked made her instinct suddenly turned on. What if someday they wanted to make a rabbit stew? Rong Hua slightly trembled and decided not to think further.

Once all of these were done, Snowy placed the fish into a basin. Then, she poured the paste and various seasonings into the basin and started marinating the fish.

During the marinating process, Snowy infused the fish with her primordial Qi to speed up the process. The fish glowed faintly covered by her energy, and all the spice seeped nicely to its meat.

After approximately ten minutes, Snowy finished marinating the fish. She then took out two large pieces of leaves that came from a spirit herb and wrapped the marinated fish with the leaves. Before wrapping the fish, she coated the entire fish with a layer of sauce.
