Earlier on, Snowy had prepared a simple stove by arranging some stone and making the firewood the fire source. With her precise control of heat and fire, she didn't need any complicated tools to help her make sure the food was cooked evenly.

She placed some soaked branches above the self-made stove and put the wrapped fish on top of it and adjust the fire with her spiritual sense.

Feng Xue watched Snowy's every action attentively, not missing any moment of it. She was very intrigued by the way Snowy cooked as if it was a new world filled with wonder.

Although she didn't need to eat food since she could absorb Qi to replenish her energy, having a mother with cooking as her hobby made Feng Xue rather familiar with the culinary world.

Yet, it was a novel experience for her to see people cooking fish like how Snowy did.

Rong Hua also shared the same thought with Feng Xue and looked at Snowy with great interest.

From how precise Snowy's fire control is, she looks more like an alchemist who was concocting pills rather than cooking. To be frank, she doubted that any other chef could master fire control to that terrifying degree.

Not long after she started grilling the fish, steam started emerging from the spirit herb leaves along with a rich fragrance. At first, the scent was not that strong. However, as the fish continued to cook, the fragrance grew stronger and stronger. If Feng Xue didn't constantly exert her bloodline pressure, their place would be surrounded by hungry spirit beasts already.

How frustrating! What was more excruciating than looking at a sumptuous meal in front of you with your hands tied down?

Feng Xue, a self-proclaimed biggest fan of Snowy's food, slightly shook like an addict that hadn't get their share of daily drugs. She wondered if this was Snowy's payback for her teasing when they were on the way to reach their current camping site. She might have to think twice before teasing Snowy in the future.

"Snowy, this fish... can we start eating?" said Feng Xue with a bit pleading voice mixed in between. Rong Hua fiercely nodded as she looked at Snowy with upturned eyes supporting Feng Xue's request.

"No," said Snowy curtly with a smile on her face.

Uhh… Everyone's face stiffened for a moment. They could not understand the reason for her reply. Why were they not allowed to start eating? The fish was so aromatic, what was the reason for not allowing them to have a taste?

Feng Xue's eyes widened and she angrily puffed up her cheeks like a child... Why did her Snowy suddenly become a meanie? Where did the gentle and obedient girl go?

Rong Hua also looked toward Snowy in puzzlement. The dish was already finished... but why couldn't they taste it?

Snowy didn't bother responding to their reaction and quickly took out her wok from her spatial ring, put it above the stove, and added a spoonful of oil into it.

She cut several spirit herbs and edible wild plants and threw them inside the wok and not forget to add a proper amount of spice and seasoning.

After a moment, Snowy finished her stir-fry dish and serve it as a complement to the grilled fish.

Using a spatula, she directly poured the slightly viscous side dish over the fish on the leaves. The overwhelming fragrance of the side dish mixed together with the aroma of the fish produced an indescribably alluring aroma.

"Please give it a taste," Snowy said while handing over the dish to Rong Hua and Feng Xue.

The expression on Feng Xue's face was slightly awkward. As it turned out, the dish was not finished yet. No wonder even after she gave Snowy irresistible pleading eyes, which usually super effective on her, she still refusing her to get a taste of the food.

Rong Hua, whose face thicker out of the two, quickly accepted her offer and gobbled the fish meat.

"Hmmh..." Once the meat entered her mouth, Rong Hua couldn't help but narrow her eyes in ecstasy. The flavors of the fish spreading and lingering within her mouth were sending her into throes of pleasure and instantly taken prisoner by its rich flavor.

This fish was... the most delicious fish she had ever tasted. Even in Central Region, she wouldn't found any dish that got near to this level of delicacy.

"Even though the fish itself didn't contain any Qi, but the energy from spirit herb and fruits harmonized with the meat and enriched its flavor. It's even better than the meat from a spirit beast. Marvelous, truly marvelous!" exclaimed Rong Hua giving her review of the food.

Seeing Rong Hua feasting the fish's meat with so much gusto, Feng Xue couldn't resist mocking her, "Don't forget you're a rabbit now, your kin will be disappointed if they see you like this."

"Bah, don't underestimate a hungry rabbit! Even we could become carnivorous if tempted by such a sumptuous delicacy. I'm more than happy to give it a taste," Rong Hua looked at the grilled fish dish for a moment before she glanced toward Snowy while licking her lips indecently, "or maybe the one who made it~"

Feng Xue glared at Rong Hua fiercely and summoned her bow with an arrow pointing at Rong Hua's face.

Rong Hua smiled wryly and waved her ears left and right, "I'm joking, I'm joking, alright?! Tsk, what a short-tempered chick!" After saying that Rong Hua back to eat and ignored the angry Feng Xue.

"Xue, stop playing around and eat your food before it's going cold," said Snowy sternly at Feng Xue caused Feng Xue to flinch a little bit since it was the first time Snowy had ever reprimand her action.

"Hmph," Feng Xue stomped her foot and give Rong Hua a cold gaze before obediently savoring her food.

Feng Xue's gaze locked toward the grilled fish and her eyes were filled with amazement. It… was simply too beautiful. The colors of the vegetables were vibrant and diverse. Because of the oil on their surface, they appeared to be glittering and sparkling. The aroma of the fish was also extraordinary. Without a doubt… this dish was perfect! As expected of Snowy's food! It was definitely going to be delicious.

She chunked the meat using her chopstick and bring it into her mouth.

Boom!

Something exploding in her mind at the time her teeth crushed the firm fish's meat and squeezed all the juice inside. Her tongue danced enjoying the sweet and umami flavor from the gushing juice.

"Delishhouuss... " And of course, Feng Xue let out a slurred words in response. Snowy's food was definitely one of her weak points.

The feast continued for an hour and then they finally called it a day.

Somewhere inside the forest's inner sanctum, quite far from the trio's location, a youthful figure stood in the middle of more than a hundred spirit beasts. The strange thing was the spirit beasts showed no intention to attack the young man and only stood there seemingly in dazzled.

"Kneel," said the young man with a clear and commanding tone.

Another unexpected thing happened, the spirit beasts, instead of charging in rage like they usually do, obediently obey the young man's command and lowering their head to him.

Seemingly satisfied by the result, a proud smile appeared on the young man's handsome face.

"Senior Brother!" Several men coming toward the young man's direction in hurry. If Snowy and Feng Xue were present, they would immediately recognize them as the Heavenly Blood Sect's Disciple who they got a feud with just after arriving at Blackwood Forest.

"We have found the two women who injured Brother Wen at the restaurant before! We also see the rumored white rabbit with them, it seems that they planned to get the treasure," while one of them reported to him.

"Hmm. It seems that I'm a step late to catch the rabbit," said the young man still calm, a smirk appeared on his lips as he continued speaking, "Whatever. Just let them do the work for us and then we will take the treasure as payback and their body as an interest, hehe." His laughter resounding throughout the night.
