The Blue Eyes

Chapter 258 - KIDNAP KEVIN

Kris was still waiting for Felix to answer his question. His question was simple, but it was quite bothering him.

His father and Joseph Beischel only knew Blue after he reported to them about the girl's identity. Selena deliberately chose the time, and he only complied with the female professor's order to let the two old men know about the blue-eyed girl.

Before he let the two old men know, they had no clue about Blue.

Kris thought that he had been playing his role perfectly to fool his father and Professor Joseph Beischel, but it turned out there was another better actor other than him all along.

"Yes," Felix finally answered. "I have known about Blue even before your father and Joseph Beischel knew about her. That's why I was asked to monitor Blue since three years ago."

Kris's mind was in turbulence upon hearing Felix's confirmation. Not many people knew about Blue because Selena deliberately hid the fact from the world. But Felix said that he had known Blue even before Mike and Joseph knew about Blue, and that was beyond strange.

Did Selena tell anyone about Blue aside from him? Selena indeed received help from several people during her journey in the past seventeen years, but Kris didn't know how many secrets had she revealed to those people. Did Selena also tell them about Blue?

If Selena indeed trusted someone to the point she would also tell Blue's secret to that person, then that person might have betrayed Selena's trust a long time ago.

"How come you know about Blue even before my father and Professor Joseph Beischel? Did someone tell you about that? Did Professor Selena tell you about that?"

Kris was actually doubting the last possibility, but he still asked those questions. As far as he remembered, Selena had never mentioned Felix's name before. He was sure that Felix was not a significant person in the professor's life.

"Professor Selena Beischel didn't tell me about that, but someone else did," Felix answered calmly. "But I can't tell you about that now because I have another important thing to do. You can stay there and wait."

Kris had not even responded to Felix's words, but the cunning scientist swiftly turned around before heading to an iron cabinet that was not far from where Kris was being tied.

There was an iris scanner on the cabinet door, and Felix's irises were easily recognized by the security system. Without needing to use a hand to open the door, the iron door automatically opened after the security system recognized the iris.

Felix used his two hands to take out something from inside the iron cabinet, and Kris's hazel eyes bulged upon seeing what was on Felix's hands.

'So, AZURE is in this laboratory all along? That little devil has been so close to me all along, but I failed to notice it?' Kris couldn't help but feel angry at himself.

There, in Felix's hands, the nonactive AZURE was 'sleeping' helplessly. It had been more than two weeks since the white robot went missing, and today he finally managed to see Kevin's son again.

Kris was beyond happy, but he instantly felt sad again as he realized that he couldn't do anything to save that little robot.

Not only that, but he also had a bad feeling related to the blue-eyed robot.

"Tell me how to turn on this robot," Felix coldly instructed him, and Kris's feeling was proven right.

He shifted his gaze from AZURE to the man and sneered at him. "Why do you want to turn on that robot? Do you even know the robot's function?"

Kris was confident because he and Kevin were the only ones who knew about AZURE's secret, but he was still puzzled because those criminals still wanted to seize the little robot despite not knowing about its function.

"Steve told me that this robot is so precious to you. You even brought it back to your apartment in the dawn, and your boyfriend kept treating it like the most precious thing on Earth. I can guess that there's a piece of important information within this robot," Jaden Dunn suddenly butted in, answering Kris's question instead of Felix.

The older man's statement caused Kris to glance at Steve. It turned out Steve was more than a killer all along. That man was a mole planted by the criminals, and that man even dared to say something about AZURE even if he knew nothing about the robot's function.

Kris couldn't help but laugh all of a sudden. "Yes! That robot is indeed precious because that robot is my boyfriend's son! Ah, no. I mean, that robot is my son too! That robot doesn't have any function other than to be our son, so you don't need to bother to activate it!"

Kris tried to act naturally to cover up AZURE's real function. Even if the blue-eyed robot was in the enemy's hands, as long as the enemy didn't know the function, that wouldn't be a big deal.

"Do you think we will buy your bullshit?" Felix Smith suddenly chimed in darkly. "You and your boyfriend were so panicked when you just found out that this robot was kidnapped, but you still dare to say that this robot doesn't have any function? And the moment you told us that this robot has no function, that's the moment when I'm more certain that this robot has something special in it."

Kris's smile vanished, and he started to feel nervous. Kevin always told him that Felix was a genius, so of course, it wouldn't be easy for him to deceive the scientist.

"So, you kidnapped me because you want me to turn on that robot?" Kris asked in a cold tone, and Felix nodded his head as an answer. "Unfortunately, you kidnapped the wrong person. It's only Kevin who has the ability to turn on the robot.. If you want to turn on that robot, then you should kidnap Kevin."
