The Blue Eyes

Chapter 259 - THE UNEXPECTED GUEST

Kevin was now alone in his biological parents' house. Blue had asked him to stay in the orphanage with her and Jack so that he wouldn't feel lonely, but he refused the offer.

He said that he would be okay even if he had to live alone in the big house, so the blue-eyed girl could only relent.

Kevin was beyond panicked when Kris was just being kidnapped, but now he was calmer than before. He could even do his daily activity just fine as if nothing happened in his life.

It was 8 P.M., and he just finished eating dinner. He would still have meals three times a day, he would still go to work in the laboratory, and everything seemed normal to him lately.

Today he had a meeting with the four people in his house because it was Sunday, but nothing had changed with him even after the meeting. He said that finding Kris was their top priority, but he didn't try to find his handsome lover at all.

Instead, he had been lazing around the whole day today. Watched TV, read magazines, and even played games on his phone. Kevin was even more relaxed than usual, and other people probably would raise their brows when they saw him act that way.

The house doorbell suddenly rang, and he frowned when he just finished drinking a glass of water. He was sure that he didn't have an appointment with anyone tonight, but he still brought his long legs toward the door of the house.

Perhaps it was just Blue who was coming to visit him because the girl was too worried about him. The young girl probably forced Jack to send her to his house, and Kevin almost smiled when he pictured the scene in his head.

Unlocking the door with the key, Kevin slowly turned the doorknob before pushing open the wooden door. And the first thing that greeted his face was a gun. It was a real gun, but Kevin wasn't surprised at all. Instead, he smirked at the man who was pointing the gun right in front of his face.

"It's been a while, Steve."

It was an unexpected guest, but he wasn't surprised at all.

It was indeed Steve Fint who came to 'visit' him with a gun in hand. It was indeed Steve Fint, someone who had been on his black list for a while.

Kris didn't believe in him because Steve managed to act like a loyal dog in front of Kris, but Kevin was different. He always had a hunch that Steve was not a good person.

And when a gun was pointed at him like this, he was even more sure that Steve was a real villain.

"Mr. Kris wanted me to pick you up, Mr. Kevin."

Kevin chuckled at the man's pleasantries. Who would pick someone up by pointing a gun in front of that person's face?

"Ah, Kris was angry with me a few days ago, and it turns out that he has been spending his time with you? Should I be jealous of your relationship with him, Steve? He even trusted you more than me. You are indeed a precious brother for him."

Kevin was just being sarcastic, and he could see the gun in front of his face wavered a little after the man heard his sarcasm.

"Mr. Kris is hating me now, Sir. You don't have to feel jealous of me."

Kevin was quite entertained right now, and he smiled a little at the taller man. "So, Kris has known your true color, huh? He was upset with me because I kept accusing you, but now he finally saw your true color?"

The young scientist continued his sarcasm, and it seemed Steve couldn't any longer tolerate his bullshit. "Just follow me to meet your boyfriend, or I will use a hard method on you!"

Steve dropped his respect and glowered at Kevin dangerously. Kevin knew that he had offended the young man, but he remained calm at his position.

"I will go with you, but I want to know about something," the raven-haired scientist tried to make a bargain. "Is it really Kris who wanted to meet me and asked you to come here for me?

He remembered Steve said that Kris wanted to meet him. Perhaps it was only Steve's way to lure him, but he still wanted to know the answer.

"Yes," the taller man replied. "Mr. Kris said that you are the only one who can activate that little robot, so we decided to pick you up to our base."

Kevin raised an eyebrow upon hearing Steve's answer. "You dare to kill your brothers, and you also dare to steal my son. Do you think I will be willing to follow you?" He asked darkly.

The scientist had taken off his friendly facade and was now staring at Steve with his pair of blue eyes that resembled cold ice.

Kevin was beyond angry at the man. Kris had considered the man as a brother, but the man had the heart to betray his trust.

"Even if you don't want to go with me, I will force you, Sir. I became the leader of the guard team because I'm the strongest guard, so don't ever think that you can escape me."

Steve was treating him quite harshly, but Kevin didn't budge. "I'm the only one who can activate AZURE, so how about you kill me right now?" He even dared to challenge the taller man.

Steve seemed to be running out of his patience, and he suddenly moved his left hand that was not holding the gun. He swiftly caught Kevin's right wrist, and the owner of the wrist didn't have time to dodge because the movement was too fast.

Steve smirked in victory, but then he could feel something was not right with Kevin's hand in his grip. He suddenly felt nervous as he brought his gaze lower to their hand's connection.

There, right where their hands connected, a thick layer of ice started spreading from Kevin's hand to his.
