Though, Luo Tianyuan’s life had been too smooth sailing. Thus, in the second book, the author allowed a major setback to happen to him, which was the death of his precious daughter.

After the death of his daughter, Luo Tianyuan grew to hate the world. Even after he rose from the ashes again, his daughter was something that he could never get over. Even the female protagonist didn’t dare to mention the name of his daughter.

The reception of the second book wasn’t very good, and it was likely due to the overly depressive tone of the book. Since the book didn’t sell well, the author lost motivation and ended the story hastily. In the end, Luo Tianyuan never remarried, and neither did he have any other children of his own.

She stood up and got out of bed, wore her slippers, and opened the door. However, she was shocked by what she saw and took a few steps back.

Luo Tianyuan was rolled up in the foldable mattress. He immediately sat up and was met with his daughter’s round eyes. He ruffled his hair and smiled at her, “Good morning sweetheart.”

Luo Shuyan was confused, “Papa, why are you sleeping here?”

“I think I drank a bit too much.” Luo Tianyuan sat up and hugged the pillow and blanket. He promptly kept the foldable bed away and turned to his daughter, “Did I scare you?”

Luo Shuyan shook her head and said, “It’s alright Papa, did you drink yesterday?”

“There was a company gathering.” Luo Tianyuan lied through his teeth, he didn’t want to let his daughter know the truth.

Luo Tianyuan came out from the toilet and saw his daughter packing her bags. He paused for a moment before approaching her. “Aunty Shen told me everything yesterday. Are you feeling better today? Should Papa take you to the doctor’s? Get the doctor to prescribe some medication to calm your nerves?”

He didn’t want to mention whatever that had happened the day before because he was worried that this would trigger bad memories.

Luo Tianyuan didn’t know that the issue bothering his daughter at the moment wasn’t about the tragedy from the day before, instead, it was because of the dream that she had.

She wasn’t sure if the Luo Tianyuan she dreamt about was really her father, and if she will die just like in her dreams.
