Throne Of Time

Chapter 84 - 83 - I-Island (2)

Leaving the location where the villain attack event took place, Kurumi made her way to where All Might asked her to go, all while continuing to look at the phone to try to figure out the specific direction.

It didn't take long to reach the destination. It was very close to the I-Island expo.

Kurumi understood from looking at the building that this was a laboratory.

This island is renowned for the laboratories and complete facilities for the scientist family members inside.

The rule imposed by the island's management is that scientists cannot leave the island.

This is to stop possible accidents, of course with the scientists also the family, but for this reason, they are offered advantages that they would not be able to find elsewhere.

Thinking about this for a few seconds, Kurumi entered the laboratory, and following All Might's instructions in the message, she arrived in front of a metal door.

It was nothing flashy. It was a straightforward metal door, and, next to it, there was a buŧŧon like "bell."

Without overthinking, Kurumi pressed on it, only to hear a robot yet humanized voice, "Miss Tokisaki Kurumi, please come in."

After that, the door that appeared to be sealed slowly opened to reveal a dimly lit room inside.

To Kurumi's left was the person who, according to All Might, wanted to meet her, sitting in his chair.

This middle-aged man's brown hair fell over his forehead, hiding his aqua-colored eyes.

The man's face was pale as if someone had seen something he didn't want to see, while on the screen in front of him, data kept flashing, with numbers coming and going.

In the middle of the room was All Might, sitting on the "chair" that was used to analyze his body in-depth.

"Sorry for the intrusion," Kurumi said as they both didn't notice she had entered the room.

Hearing these words, they both turned their heads towards the entrance.

The man's eyes have regained some color when seeing Kurumi's figure.

However, seeing Kurumi, All Might said, "Thank you for coming here to speak with my old friend."

Then, as if he remembered something, All Might said, "Right, I haven't introduced you yet—"

But before All Might could finish the sentence, the voice of the man sitting in the chair interrupted him.

"Don't worry, Yagi, I can introduce myself too, haha," the man replied, only that the laugh he used to finish his sentence didn't sound cheerful. It mainly was forced.

"Nice to meet you. My name is David Shield," the man said, standing up, then showing a slight smile on his face, adjusting the glasses that fell slightly from the bridge of his nose.

"Kurumi Tokisaki, the pŀėȧsurė of meeting you is all mine," Kurumi responded to David Shield's introduction with a slight bow.

Shortly after, silence fell in the room for a minute, but to All Might and David Shield, it seemed like centuries, especially the latter.

"I know it sounds abrupt, and I am deeply ashamed of that. If possible, can you use your Quirk to heal All Might? I beg you!" David Shield said without pause, then made a big bow in Kurumi's direction.

His friend's words confused All Might. He never expected David to ask Kurumi to heal him using her quirk.

When All Might told him about Kurumi, he told him about her Quirk. In fact, they had a good discussion on the subject. After all, David Shield is a scientist, and a Quirk to control the time intrigued him a lot.

At least that's what All Might believed.

However, All Might has to admit he thought about it too, but he never took that step forward and asked Kurumi if possible. He didn't want to look like a profiteer in Kurumi's eyes by asking her if it was feasible.

That was before he gave his Quirk to Izuku Midoriya, the little boy who yelled at him if it was possible to become a hero even without Quirk.

"David ..." All Might sighed slightly, murmuring his friend's name.

Kurumi never expected that what this old friend of All Might wanted to talk to her about was the possibility of healing All Might.

From the words of this David Shield, Kurumi felt deep worship, if not even blind, towards the muscular figure that saves everyone with a smile without looking back.

Because of this, Kurumi shifted her gaze from the scientist to the hero, but seeing the hero sigh, Kurumi realized it wasn't All Might's intention.

"Fu ~ Fu ~ This puts my back against the wall, and I don't like having it ..." Kurumi said shortly after.

Hearing what Kurumi said, All Might's gaze got even more complicated.

'Tell him All Might!' All Might shouted into his mind, into his soul, hearing Kurumi's words.

'Tell him that even if it is possible to heal my wound, it would not give me back the power I once had ...'

Even though All Might opened his mouth several times, nothing came out, not even a vowel. It was like a lump in All Might's throat.

All Might's gaze fell upon his old friend. Even as he bowed, All Might could feel his hopeful gaze.

This shocking fact would devastate him spiritually. Not to mention the fact that he has always believed that he, All Might, is the symbol of peace, the number one hero!

Silence fell again among all present. The only difference is that David Shield is still bending his back as if in a plea in the direction of Kurumi, who looked at him with a severe look.

"If this is what you wanted to tell me, then please forgive me, but I have much more important things that require my presence."

Afterward, without looking back, Kurumi left, leaving only the two longtime friends in the room.

Shortly after, David Shield fell on his knees. All Might only then got up from the chair he was lying on to do the tests, to help his friend.

However, being in his weak form, All Might does not possess the power to pull on a grown man who has dropped all of his body weight on himself.

"David, get up, at least do this for me ..." All Might said.

Only at the hero's words did David Shield put strength in his legs and stand up. Immediately a smile returned to his face, and looking at All Might, he said, "Don't worry, and I'm sorry I asked about this without telling you beforehand."

"Do not worry."

This is what All Might replied, without adding anything else. A simple sentence that made David Shield's smile more melancholic.

All Might realized that when Kurumi looked at him and saw him with a lump in his throat, unable to say a single word, she sensed that he didn't tell David Shield anything about the fact that he no longer has the Quirk.

Shortly after, the two left the laboratory in total silence, returning to David Shield's office.

As soon as they entered the room, David Shield spoke.

"You already know what I mean, and for this very reason I will not repeat myself twice, but at least promise me that you will be there, ready to face the enemies with a smile, and to reassure everyone, after all, you are the 'Symbol of Peace.'"

A moment of silence.

"All Might."

All Might instantly transformed into his muscular form, and with his smile, he said, "Don't worry, because I'm here!"

Seeing this gesture, David Shield seems to go back in time, when he and All Might whizzed in his car in search of the villains who terrorized the city.

"Go and don't forget this night, the evening in the Reception on Floor 2 of the Central Tower. You will probably also be called to the stage as soon as they notice you."

All Might didn't answer; he laughed and then walked out the door, leaving David Shield alone in the room, with his two aqua eyes looking at that door that the hero came out of.
