A Fallen Knight-Lost art of Necromancy

They both together went outside. As they were strolling outside they saw a huge commotion just outside their crossroad. A big and beautiful chariot decorated lavishly was crossing through the road ahead. 

Severus and Desella were shocked when they saw everyone kneeling down as they all murmured,' Long Live Song Descendents'.

Since everyone was kneeling Severus too kneeled down with Desella. They didn't want to be sore after all. Quickly the chariot disappeared and everyone got back to normal busying themselves with their daily routine. Since this place was new for them Severus made a strategy with Desella to know more about this Hui Island. Well, the strategy was dumb, but you can't ignore the high rewards that it will generate and thus Severus and Desella parted ways to collect the information.

"Take care and if you feel threatened then call for Noworry. He will protect you"

"Don't worry Severus"

With this everyone parted.

Severus knew very well from his experience that if you ever want to infiltrate a kingdom then the best thing you could do to familiarise yourself with the place is to make beggars your friends. Although this seems like a pathetic idea because as soon as we hear the term beggar all we imagine is, a sickly man wearing teary rags having fits of cough while speaking but it wasn't the case in real life. Beggars in any place are the ones having the largest circle and tons of information goes through them. Sometimes even the official detectives used to dress as beggars to get wind of information. 

Severus went to a rundown alley. The place was dead silent. Beggars were sitting around the alley in two rows with 3 arm distance. If someone looked at the alley from afar it would seem as if this is one of the run-down places that belong to beggars and peddlers. However, this was not the case with Severus.

Severus keenly observed the pattern which many people had failed to observe. Everyone present there was either sitting inside a blanket or had their faces covered with caps and scarfs and not even one faced another. The atmosphere felt ominous there. The dilapidated two-story building on each side added a country touch to it.

As soon as Severus saw the scene he quickly made up a plan. Not far from him there was a photo of a burly man stick on a green board. A corroded thumbnail was used to stick it. The rust on the nail told Severus that this wanted man had his photo stuck here for weeks. Without bothering to make eye contact with anyone Severus walked toward the green board as he casually flipped the photo on it. He took the photo and scanned it. The man inside the photo was brown in complexion. With black curly hairs, a disgusting smile was plastered on his yellow teeth. Severus felt nauseated by his photo. He resisted his urge to throw up and with a dramatic motion tore the photograph piece by piece. 

Everyone saw what Severus did and a glint radiated in their eyes which Severus noticed. A sneer came upon his lips. He casually turned around as a cold smile graced his face.

"I came here to spend my vacations and do some charity but it seems fate has something else planned for me."

With this said he glanced at everyone and finally said. "This man, are you trying to hide him? If you are then it's futile since now I have seen him. I will kill him slowly by skinning him alive. Since he dares to rob me then he should be ready to face his consequences"

Severus surveyed everyone's expression. Indeed astonishment and disbelief were present there.

I knew it. No city is pure and the easiest thing to make honest friends is to become a messiah for the needy.

Severus knew that he needed to gain the support of beggars if he wanted to dig Hui island and for that he needed to help him. Giving food and doing charity was useless since that's the thing they hate the most. Although their situation and financial condition force them to beg even after crushing the self-respect still every time everyone offers them charity they are overcome with mixed emotions. Gratefulness and self-pity eats them from inside like bugs eat wood. 

Nothing can beat becoming a hero thus this time Severus went all out for becoming a hero. 

"Eh!"

"Still protecting that bastard. Nevermind if you won't help then I will find him by myself, however"...He waited as he eyed them all. " I won't hesitate to kill you too"

With this said he even dramatically added a hand sign of killing by swinging his hand over his neck.

Severus turned backward and was about to leave when he saw movement from the corner of his eyes. He smirked after noticing it.

Fine! 

If that's what you want.

Severus quickly turned as he dodged the upcoming attack and kicked the bald man who attacked him earlier. The bald man was quite shocked to witness Severus' agility however his shock dissipated soon as he continued fighting. In a blink, several people joined the fight. Everyone surrounded Severus in a circle. 

It was a rather deadly scene but Severus wasn't affected in the least. They were just a bunch of toys for him. In one swift kick, he kicked two people. He punched the third person and flung himself to others. Two more people went down with the third person. Soon everyone who had surrounded Severus was now lying in the dust. Fits of coughing resounded everywhere. All felt sore in their bodies after fighting with Severs and miraculously not even one person was severely injured. It wasn't because they were powerful but because Severus didn't inflict injury on them. 

He smiled as he bowed down.

"Show over the audience!"

"Now if anyone from you wants to help me? Anyone?"

Severus asked casually however even after waiting for so long no one replied. Severus flinched internally. This was not going according to this plan. He contemplated it. When he saw that there were no movements from another side he just sighed to himself. 

May he was just pathetic in acting. As he was leaving he heard an old but heavy voice of an old man.

"Stop!"

Severus instantly stopped in his tracks. He slowly turned around and saw an old man coming towards him. The old man had grey hair; however, every line on his face told Severus about his lifetime. With his sturdy voice that was full of confidence and a deadly scar on his forehead told Severus that this person should be the head of them. In short, Severus needed to befriend him if he wanted to his answers.

The old man scrunched his eyebrows and he examined Severus. It was so obvious that Severus felt shy. It was as if this man was trying to read him. Severus too hardened his expression as he bluffed. 

"You are not a native of Hui Island"

"....."

He just said a few minutes ago that he came here for vacation. Doesn't this mean that he didn't belong to Hui Island? Severus' secretary doubted the credibility of this man inside his heart; however, on the surface, he didn't show it.

"Didn't I say so….just a few minutes ago?"

HAHAHAHA

The old man started laughing instantly. Everyone present around the old man was shocked. It was as if at any moment their eyeball would drop down from their eye sockets. From their expression, it was obvious that this man belonged to the category who had not laughed for a long time. Severus ignored everyone and smiled at the old man.

"I am happy you are laughing but I don't have any interest in it. Tell me whether you are going to help me or no old man?"

Straight to the point. 

The old man finally stopped his laugh.

"You humor me, boy. Bring him to my room for a coffee" The old man turned back and left the scene. He didn't give Severus any room for choice. It was as if it was an order. Despite being ordered, Severus didn't feel bad. It was what he wanted too. He quickly followed the old man into his house. Earlier the people who were eager to kill Severus were now eyeing him with suspicion. No one dared to provoke him. Within a minute Severus was sitting inside the old man's house who was supposed to be the leader of the beggar gang.

Severus was shocked for the second time today. The insides of this building were totally opposite what he predicted. It wasn't at all dilapidated instead very well furnished with all the necessary furniture.

Severus was sitting inside a bamboo room. A table was placed in between the room where a thermos was placed with a box of green tea powder. Well he himself wasn't fully aware he just guessed for most of the things.
